  The T60 comes with adapter 65W or 90W. 90W is required for machines with dedicated graphics processor. Your model contains graphics intel, so it would be originally came with a 65 Watt adapter, but either will work.

• T60 - problems with long active standby

  Hi all

  Hopfully, can someone point me in the right direction with a problem I encounter with one of the ThinkPad T60.

  Here's the run down:

  We did 3 of the T60 (type 6369-A56) last December (online sales of web). 1 of the three displays problems when dealing with the day before. If the laptop goes into sleep mode during more than anywhere between 30 minutes to 1 hour that the laptop is not repeated mode standby when you open the lid of the laptop or use the Fn function key. When two approaches to bring the laptop leaves standby mode the Moon cresent LED stays on, the HARD Drive LED turns on for a brief second and then turns off, the power light and strong say, the screen remains blank at any time. When this happens, you can hear/feel the disk HARD turns to the top and doing something and you can also hear the CPU fan spin in the action as if it came out the day before. Does not seem to have taken power to make a difference with this problem.

  I already talked to Lenovo support RELATIVE to this subject and they believe it's a software problem. I did a few more tests to try to determine that this is what I did...

  I took a Norton Ghost image of one of the 2 working T60 HDD (Eve works perfectly on two other laptops) and used this Image for ghost in the T60 defective HARD drive, this gave me two identical laptops (hardware and software). Power for laptop mode is as follows, turn off the display @ 5 minutes, switch Mode suspend @ 15 minutes. I left computers laptops only at exactly 09:05, 5 minutes later so empty screens, @ 15 minutes later, the two went in standby mode. 45 min after sleep mode had struck I returned to two laptop computers and for laptops (at the same time), use the Fn key and the defective T60 does not return from the day before and the same symptoms as mentioned earlier it happened.

  After this I decied to see what would happen if I changed the HARD drive between laptops (from the laptop failed drive in the laptop to work), failed hard drive of the laptop working in laptop. After the passage of the HARD drive, I ran the same tests as above. Yet once, 45 minutes after the day before had been very active, I used the Fn key to get out of sleep mode and the laptop with the failed hard drive from the laptop worked directly at the exit of the batt, but the hard drive of the laptop from work to the faulty laptop displayed the same problems as mentioned above thus excluding the software as the cause of the problem.

  My question is, knowing all this, where is the problem likely to be? Is - it's going to be RAM related or associated with Board?

  The result of likley going to be back to Lenovo for repair?

  Yes, after trying one number of other things I determinined it was the motherboard at fault. Introduced a job guaranteed with Lenovo and returned to the unit for repair. Less a week we had it back, running without problem (they replaced the sys Board).

• Refurb. Without software Lenovo T60 - what to download?

  I recently bought a refurbished the 14.1 "display Thinkpad T60 1951 type. It came with Windows 7 Home Edition (for refurbished computers) preinstalled.

  He is not, however, come with one of the suites Lenovo software installed, such as ThinkVantage. So that the blue button does nothing (except enter the BIOS at startup), I can not change the trackpoint features or use the middle button, and volume keys beside her also to do nothing. Not knowing what other Thinkpad drivers and software he missed, I looked around a few discussions as well as the drivers/software Lenovo page, but I don't see anything conclusive. I don't know what exactly needs to be installed, and Lenovo's Support page has so many pilots planned, when I was really looking for a suite of software/driver for a single installation. Or even a CD that I could order.

  I installed the Lenovo update system (v5.06.0007), in the hope that it would install the bulk of what I was missing. It is installed:

  -Thinkpad UltraNav utility v2.13

  -Win 7 update Module KB2661796

  -Win 7 update Module KB2397190

  The strange thing with the Lenovo system update, is it opens halfway off the screen to the right. The volume buttons work, but which is also weird size, with the right speaker icon and the part of the cut volume bar, and the whole graph is placed off center to the right. UltraNav works but I have not changed the settings yet.

  I'm still missing after ThinkVantage however and could not find a download of the Lenovo support page. I realize that they have abandoned the software for LSC, LSC is not supported on this model of ThinkPad, so I need any more software Lenovo installed originally on this model.

  Can anyone help point me in the direction of the correct downloads, or maybe where I can find a CD with all of the software/drivers top, to be updated after installation? I still have to communicate with Lenovo or check if my renovated 3-year warranty applies to a Lenovo support ticket, if necessary. Thank you.

  What version of the system update utility do you use?

  ThinkVantage programs are not a sequel, but a collection of different programs. You install only those you need.

  I recommend to stick to an earlier version of the integration of the shortcut key for the older ThinkPads, i.e. T400 and more. Which eliminates all the problems, that the later versions of display on these machines.

  In addition, you can install the Active Protection, Power Manager and the software fingerprint (if your machine has the fingerprint reader).

• T60 / T61 / hard T61W compatible cross-training?

  I have a question about hard T60 and T61 discs.

  I work for a company where we are gradually T60 laptop computers for the new T410.

  Are we able to use T60 stock hard drives in laptops T61 and T61 (widescreen) if we were to rebuild their image for Windows 7?

  In my view, that we use the 80.0 GB HDD T60 version.

  I also wanted to know if it is backward compatible (if we need older drivers during the upgrade of the OS)-that is, a disk hard T61 or T61W, working in a T60.

  I believe that all hard disks that came with laptop computers, when we bought were the stock 80.0 GB... but would be still the 60.0 GB 5400 RPM (or 7200, I completely forgot that we use) in a book in a T61 so T60 we were to reformat and install Windows 7 top?

  They use the same type of hard drive, the drive SATA itself may be exchanged between T60 T61, T400/T500, T410/T510.

• Bluetooth does not work on Lenovo T60 laptop

  Left my laptop detect my bluetooth, here the problem devices. A few days ago, I chose what programs will take place at the start, I DISABLED the blue tooth launch, thinking about my PC would auto detect devices when I want to connect.  Now the icon in the taskbar for Bluetooth is missing and when I try to connect my cameras anything connects, I checked in the bluetooth setting and everything seems correct, there all my devices on the list, I also checked to make sure you that bluetooth is turned on (which it is)... .so?  How can I return the icon in the taskbar (Taskbar)?  My OS is Windows XP Pro registered Pk 3, Lenovo IBM T60 laptop.  Also my PC allows to have an icon pop up when I used a device to bluetooth connection to let me know it was bound or by sending info etc... now his party to think it's all because of me unchecking the option program startup. Any help is very grateful.  !!!!!

  Simple difficulty if you start unckecked... Click on > run > Type MSCONFIG > tab starup... scroll to the bottom and check again the Bluetooth... apply... Reboot the system... Icon should appear now. in the system after reboot tray.

  I recently came across a T60 and I need it to be able to 5 GHz Wireless. The wireless current is not.

  I'm not a genius when it comes to wireless cards, where they are and whether or not they are compatible, this is why I come to you! Will you please help me find a wireless adapter which is dual band, so I can connect more than 5 GHz. No price is too high.

  If you do not use the BIOS modded, search eBay or Google T 42, 0825 , which is Lenovo a/b/g/n card than some T60 delivered with original series.

  I found a page very useful with the video for installing memory, drives hard & all what you wanted to know about the T60 on Linovo help pages, but after tagging page, I came to charge the next day to find that it just loaded the main home page of Lovono!

  most of the n-enabled intel graphics card came the time 4965, T61 and R61 will not work on the T60 without a bios hack.

• How to get Roxio Creator Business Edition for T60 with Win 7-64 bit

  I have a T60 (8744-5BU) which came with Win XP Pro initially and has been upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  While under XP, I've made use of multimedia for offers to think: Sonic RecordNow Audio/data/copy and Drag2Disc.  For Win 7, the only option I see under software and utility downloads for my model is:

  Multimedia center for think with Lightscribe offers (contains applications of RecordNow and the player...

  Note: My model of DVDRAM drive is: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4083N and contains no lightscribe.  The software above 'readme' does not show my DVDRAM drive listed.  You can also read: "multimedia center for think with Lightscribe offers is provided for editors of Lenovo DVD with Lightscribe.

  Question: Anyone know where I can get the software equivalent without the Lightscribe feature that will work with my T60 under Win 7?

  Because it is a licensed software, I don't expect that it will be freely available for download on the Lenovo support web site.

  If you have a hard drive (or a disk image) with the original factory from Microsoft Windows XP to load, you may be able to copy the installation package for Roxio Creator Business Edition out of it and use it to install the software under Microsoft Windows 7, however, I do not know if it will install under Windows 7.

  I have a thinkpad T60 notebook. It is a type of 1953.

  I do a full system restore, using the "rescue and recovery CD" and the recovery of 5 CD.

  When I'm on disc 2 of 5, I get the blue screen.

  The blue screen says:

  The turbine BP is normal. You don't have this port, unless you're addicted to a dock. Looks like your hard drive is dead. Is what brand?

• T60 - battery does not recognize universal charger

  I bought a refurbished lenovo T60. It was fine, the first few days. Battery charge and so on.

  Then the charger/adapter has gone bad.

  I have a universal charger and I use it. The problem with him, is that battery refuses to charge him. If the charger is on,

  thinkadvantage Power Manager tries for a second, then the battery display of "battery is not installed. The T60 would go to the power, but does not charge the battery.

  Chargers no-lenovo usually charge the battery very well but I saw these cheap "knock-offs" heat while they ignite. I strongly suggest that you get a real. They are not expensive. If you have lived in the United States I could get it to you for less then $25 delivered to your door for 90 watt, or $20 to 65 watts. I imagine that they are still cheaper in Asia, in order to verify the costs on the local websites or ebay. Good luck and make sure you check their authentic before purchasing.

  Models from 195 x numbers have the Intel integrated graphics card, and majority (think 95%) of them came with a XGA (1024 x 768) resolution.

• T60 and Kingston SSD does not

  Hi guys, I have small projects to the wok. We modernize our T60 with Kingston SSD hard drives and I have to find a way to clone and make them work together. Just so you know the T60 HDs are encrypted if goanna make a difference.

  So far, I have tried two or three programs (Clonzilla and cloning the cloning of Kingston software that came with the SSD) and two ways to clone. I followed all the steps of the http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T61-and-prior-T-series-ThinkPad/Intel-X25-M-Solid-State-Drive-SSD-won-t-... and always without success. When I plugged the SSD drive in towards the top of the tower and start it I get a message "Hit any key to continue...". "and from there, I can't do anything. This message appears on the screen where you can see in the upper left corner "[F2] to cancel automatic logon.

  Does anyone have an idea what I have to do to make this work?

  SSD more T60 = total waste of effort.
  T60 is capped to sata 150 means that he be in the ide 100 ballpark.
  Run crypt on a t60 lol joke on your right.
  It will not address the cpu or that ssd and you'll have an ssd of grade enterprize for crypt.

  It takes a very powerful processor to do and the right disc or the software.
  T60 aren't good for a standard ssd upgrade yet.
  Kingstons are undesirable.
