T60 dust behind the LCD

So it seems I have a lot of dust behind the LCD screen of my old T60 of 8 months. What should I do? I do not remove it? Take it to a technician? It warranty (Lenovo even cover such a thing?)?

Thanks for the advice, "do not touch the LCD screen." I sent it to Lenovo and after a week without a computer, I have a LCD nine; they have also updated the BIOS I had 14 + dark spots, and now no eye more only wounds!

  • Dust between the LCD screen?

I noticed it last night, at first I thought it was a dead on my T400 pixel, but then I realized that the color is not changed when I did a test... Who and when I put my laptop in my bag and went home, I noticed the "dead pixel" then moved up to the other corner, then I turned a brighter light and I noticed that it's dust between my LCD screen.

It's annoying, and I feel rather murky obsessive-compulsive right about now, what can do for 'delete', or would it be better to find a technician partner to remove it? Yes, my laptop is still under warranty.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

If you have the warranty, then Yes, the best option for you would be to contact the service of lenovo and be replaced by certified technician.

    It will be useful.

  • Satellite M70-309: how to clean the LCD?

    Hello world!

I have Satellite M70-309, so how do I clean finger LCD, dust, ecc... ?

    Thank you!

    Hello Rocco,

Usually mine clean with a slightly damp cloth (wipe softly on the surface) and then just dry with a cloth. This command removes all the dust and finger marks.

I also used a normal domestic surface cleaning spray (used sparingly) applied with a cloth and this removes any greasy fingerprints that can be on the screen.

It is very important to not to use cleansers, abrasives or solvents as they may damage the surface of the LCD screen.

    Kind regards

  • The dust under the screen of the Qosmio X 500

    Hello

I purchased a Qosmio X 500 to Saudi Arabia in April last year and Ive brought to the India where I currently reside. Last week when cleaning out my screen randomly, I noticed a few specks of dust in (lcd/led panel below). This does not preclude my intervention on the machine, or are facing other problems of performance. but the presence of these particles of dust under the screen gorgeous 18 '' becomes a horror.

I hardly take the laptop outside or use in difficult or dusty environments. I have a guarantee of the EMEA which is valid until April 2015 and I intended to ship the laptop in Saudi Arabia to rectify. Any suggestions on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you and best regards

    Dr. Abdel Ansari

    Hello

In my opinion, you make the right choice. Laptop has guaranteed EMEA for Toshiba in Saudi Arabia service provider will help you in this. Of course, laptop must be disassembled and cleaned.

Good luck and I hope everything will be OK.

  • Satellite M60: grey spots on the LCD screen

It seems that I have a problem with my Satellite M60. I noticed a few more dark spots on the LCD screen. Looks like the screen is dirty (grey size spots about 5-6 pixels), but it seems to be not in the surface of the screen, but on the inside (the surface is perfectly clean) and, certainly, is not the problem of dead pixels or subpixels.

Is it possible that there is little dust inside of screen? Is it possible to clean it somehow? Such a strange thing is covered by the standard warranty?

    Hi Fox

Possible it s not a BIOS issue. Of course, I read the other case, but perhaps it s not the same question.

But do not forget that you are using the good BIOS!
A lot of users here uses a bad BIOS or bad BIOS procedure.
In addition, the BIOS version performed from 14/09/06. That is why it s not very old updated.

  • Satellite L750 - scuffed or scratch the LCD screen

It is a strange. Last night, I (foolishly) used on the back of my finger to remove dust on the screen. This could cause wear on my skin and itch of my nail brand.

I then used a white cotton t-shirt trying to wipe (not being able to find my normal cd sheet), but it did not really work so I added a small amount of water which it (I'm guessing it wasn't a good idea to use a t-shirt anyway).

I then used a new t-shirt that I thought that it was not a good idea to use the old. In natural light, you see nothing, but if I turn off the lights and pointing a flashlight on the screen I can see what looks likely to be:

    (a) water
brands (b) water and SOAP (washing powder that was in the wash t-shirt)
    (c) the scratches
    or even
    (d) a very slight scratch in the surface I have tried to clean

I tried to clean this area several times that probably made things worse.

This area represents 1/14th of the screen and the problem is really visible when a torch fire is shone on the screen and the room is dark!, so it's not obvious in the natural light.

The laptop is brand new, which is what makes my own mistake even more unbearable. I'm puzzled as to what the solution might be and saw cela, but think it's exaggerated bass:

    Hi mate

I clean my LCD (portable computer and TV) using a Microfiber cloth and special cleaning for LCDs liquid which I could buy at my computer dealer...

  • BSOD on T60 after changing the graphic properties

I just returned the display on my screen external 180 degrees and immediately got the BSOD. When I restart and try to return to the normal display, I get the BSOD until I can right click on the desktop and get the graphic properties setting.

If I change the display to the LCD laptop until Windows has finished starting, then Windows does not crash. However, I have not found a way to reset the external display to normal display, unflipped without first switch to the external monitor, which gives me the BSOD again until I can do anything.

I tried to start in safe mode, but I can't find anything in Safe Mode to restore the external monitor to display.

    I am running Windows XP Professional on a T60 and the monitor is a ViewSonic vx2235wm (1680 x 1050).

Thanks for your suggestions on how to solve this problem.

    Joel

    That no longer works.

But let me tell you what I finished work: Windows finished its commissioning, I unplugged the monitor. Then the laptop 'thought' he always used the external monitor, even if the monitor is not connected. Then, I pressed ctrl-alt-top. This key sequence is supposed to set the display of graphics on 'normal' (i.e. at right-up). I then plugged the monitor and the screen on the right to the top. No BSOD since then.

I am happy that it has ended up working, but is there a simpler way to fix conflicts of devices like the problem I had?

    Thank you

    Joel

  • Unbelievable, dust under the screen of the iPhone 7

    Good night everyone.

I've posted a few times before here in discussions about the dust under the screen of the iPhone 6 s, which mine was when I bought it, when they changed my screen 9 times and when they exanged to renovated ones and even an Envoy to Ireland brand new with new warranty at all.

Last Friday I went and waited all night to buy an iPhone 7 hoping being dust-tight its screen would be perfect, and as I got it, I saw something under the protection of screen thinking it was something that got stuck all by placing, but today, I deleted and found which can be seen in the attached picture (he can be seen in the crossbar left angle)

Is it not possible to exchange it for another iPhone during the day 14 guarantee now that West no stock?

    Thank you very much
