  Easiest is to copy the files with a USB key, but the most elegant (IMHO) is across the network. Just join each machine to your homegroup, and you can copy back.

  First of all, make sure that the camera software is installed and configured on the computer.

  1. open the Capture Cam life User Interface by clicking on the Microsoft LifeCam shortcut on your desktop or by clicking Start, all programs , then Microsoft LifeCam.

  2. take a picture with the Cam of life by clicking on the camera icon in the Capture User Interface (1).

  In order to take a picture of your PDF document, you may have selected "Edit > take a snapshot.

  Click anywhere on the page, then drag a rectangle around the entire contents (including text and images) showing a dialog box:

  

  Once you click OK, your selection is automatically copied to the Clipboard when you release the mouse button.

  You can then paste it into another application (i.e. MS Paint) or target any other document.

  Pictures tend to look scary when driven by HP, because of the "uncanny valley" effect But if you're brave, here's the general idea:

  (1) open the photo in photoshop, put on another layer

  (2) select the right eye, cut it into a new layer, name it + right eye

  (3) turn the eyeball to this new layer that you can see the underlying face

  (3) command-clicking the icon of the right eye to make the selection of the shape of the eye

  (4) select the face layer and shift + delete to remove the eye, choosing Content-Aware Fill to get skin to fill in where the eye was

  Repeat for each part of the body you want individual control on (see the puppet of model by file > new puppet in Photoshop for all names special to use for the auto-rigging)

  I just opened LR to do some work and some of the photos that I had imported disappeared.  A few days ago everything was fine.

  I have pictures stored in 3 places: 1) on the hard drive of my laptop 2) & 3) on portable hard drives.  All images on one of the Portable HD are very good.

  I had this problem once before long ago when I put the cable to one of the HD in another USB plug, but now I have a sticker on my computer with the HD listed so I always put the caps in the same locations.

  When I open LR today in the library on the left side, I see the hard drive, but there is none of the images or files under.  I tried to import the images once again, but for each image, all the stories, the flags and the chimneys have gone.

  I have 2 recent backup catalogs, so I tried to open the back ups, but they are the same, the images do not appear under this hard drive and if I try to re - import the images, the RAW files look like they did when I imported all first, I know that images must be black and white are in color , images I have previously cropped to be square are now showing that they were when I took the picture.

  These images are those of my "portfolio" and I have more than 2500 images in there that were in various stages of development.  I have idea of going back through them and developing them again is simply impossible.

  If anyone can tell me how to recover everything that I'd be so grateful,

  Re-imported images are not a problem. Once the appropriate drive letters are assigned outside two readers of all the image files 'original' will be 'reconnect' inside LR. Assignment of drive letters will also help prevent it happening again. The re-imported images are duplicates of LR and not necessary.

  1. Open the editor in the Expert tab
  2. Go to the file menu > New > empty file. Enter the values of H & W, resolution, background color. It will be the canvas for the 2 pictures and appear in the layers palette in the background layer.
  3. Open A drawing, go to "Select" menu >, go to the Edit menu > copy to the Clipboard
  4. Return to the empty layer, and then tap Edit > paste. Use the move to position A tool and resize with the corner of the frame handles encompassing, if necessary.
  5. Do the same for the B picture.
  6. You should have 3 layers: background and with A image and layer with photo B.

  TIPS:

  I guess you want to print it. Do the math, review your paper stock and calculate the optimal size for each photo. You will have to perhaps crop or resize the images for a good fit.

  In the field of the resolution to the step above #2, it is desirable to have the resolution of the empty file identical to the resolution of the photo files. You can check the resolution by Image > resize > Image size...

  For printing, the resolution in the range 240-300px in generally gives an acceptable result. For web work, 72px / is ok.

  I have my library of Photos on an external drive. I want to have a second library of Photos on my MacBook with only my favorites (favorite Album). If I can access it without my external HDD plugged! In Automator, there is an action called "Get Album favorite content ' but I can't choose where library. Anyone know how I can do?

  If you can access these two libraries with the paid version of PowerPhotos you can copy the favorite album from one library to another.  However, you decide to copy the original file or the edited version.

  

  Other wise export Photos in album Favorites in a folder on the Destkop.  Transfer this file MacBook and import in the library.  Yet once, you can choose to export the original or edited versions.
