Is this cold backup and sufficient archives, for the exact replica of primary education

You can recover up to cancel if something happened.

Do I have to take the backup of the primary database as cold before the primary.

always always take backup before any operation.

  • Automate the update of Windows Server R2 2012

    Hi all

I am currently looking for a method to update automatically to our servers. Rather than use Windows update to install and reboot servers, I want to be able to automate the download and install the updates, but to impose when the server reboots automatically. I know that WSUS automatically installs updates but I don't think there is a way to control when the server should restart. Also apart from that, I know that servers come online without having to login to them manually. I think that the only way to go about this is with a script.

Any help or insight is most appreciated. Thank you.

  • The update of Windows 10 1511 reboot loop Bootcamp BSOD ACPI. SYS

It is a copy of my thread to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-performance/windows-10-update-1511-reboot-loop-bootcamp/8653... as I was asked to post here by the Microsoft Support Engineer.

    Hello

Friday night, I went to bed with a working machine. I had a late 2013 Mac Pro BootCamp running with a Windows 10 Pro installed, the Build version before 1511.

On Saturday morning, I woke up to my PC restart itself over and over again. It seems that Windows Update has decided to put a new version of Windows 10 on my machine without my knowledge. I discovered this after restoring an acronis backup (which took a few hours because of the number of incremental backups)

Occasionally (about 1 in 20 restarts) it would blue screen with an error:

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (ACPI.sys)

But the rest of the time he would just start, flash a window for a millisecond that says (I think) winlaunch.exe, then restart.

I tried a lot of things to sort it, including:

    (1) restore from a backup, acronis to Friday morning, running sfc/scannow, and then runs the update

    (2) the creation of a recovery USB, enter the console, change the boot to legacy method, so I can F8, then goes into all security modes and mode of illegal product, but I can find where windows 10 now puts the boot log

    (3) restored from acronis, switched to mac, created a new bootcamp drivers usb, switched to windows and run the option 'fix drivers' before performing the update.

Ntbtlog.txt is not anywhere on the partition. I ran a dir /s > a.txt then open this a.txt in Notepad and searched him.

I don't know where to go from here. I can acronis restore of a windows 10 work machine the morning before installing mandatory 1511. I don't know how to delay the update no more, I noted during a restore I had delay on updates that are why it has arisen just now.

I do not know how to find where this BSOD ACPI.sys will come (even if it happens so rarely) or this that its trying to load just before it crashes (so I can try to delete the driver etc. by the front restored windows to upgrade)

I guess the widowed causes 10 to do a restore, then the restore fails.

Overall, I get at the end of my wits with this, to go a completely Windows 10 installation work Friday to more than two wasted days, restore backups, try again, rinse and repeat. It's now Monday morning and I am posting this as a ditch last attempt to solve the problem, your help would be appreciated.

If you need more information please let me know the location of the files, etc, or their names and I will do my best to have copies available for you.

I will now restore the backup again, uninstall loading of drivers, and then try the update of windows for the 4th or 5th time.

    Thanks in advance,

    Julian

Woo Hoo, I've solved the problem!

I uninstalled the drivers of graphics from AMD (with AMD Driver Cleaner) and Arcronis True Image Home 2013 at the same time, then let Windows Update run its course. Now I have a machine with Windows Version 1511 10!

It took me 4 days of downtime...

I hope this helps someone else.

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

In a first step of troubleshooting, I suggest to check the version history to see if there are updates that have a failed State and let me know the description of these updates.

Step 1: Check the update history

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed

Let me know if the description updates that have a status of failed.

Step 2: Manually try to install updates from the Microsoft Download Center

    a. go to the Microsoft Download site, type the number of "KB" of the update in the download search box and then click OK.

    b. in the list of search results, click on the (KB) Knowledge Base article link to go to the download page. If there is more than one list, look for a link that goes to the Microsoft Download Center.

    c. If there are several versions on the download page, find the appropriate for your computer. Click on the download button and save the update to your desktop.

    d. When you are prompted, click open to install the update.

Step 3: Run Windows Update Troubleshooter

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Update-Troubleshooter

Step 4: The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista and Windows 7

    I hope this helps.

  • Install the updates of Windows 7 not Windows 10

I have more than 30 windows 7 selected updates and when I click OK it brings back me to the GET started installing Windows 10 screen. I want to install the updates, not Windows 10 and can't find a way to do

Do you plan on installing Windows 10 soon?

If this isn't the case - get rid of advertising for it in this way:

    Copy and paste the text below (and especially) the obvious markers in a text file, save it as "DisableGWX.reg")<-- changing="" even="" the="" file="" extension="" -="" if="" you="" cannot="" see="" it,="" you'll="" have="" to="" change="" your="" windows="" explorer="" view="" a="" bit="" to="" make="" this="" easier)="" and="" then="" use="" that="" (right-click="" on="" it,="" merge="" it="" into="" your="" registry)="" to="" disable="" the="" upgrade="" 'pushiness'="" you="" are="" seeing. ="" restart="" to="" get="" the="" full="">

    -COPY EVERYTHING BELOW THIS LINE-

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\GWX]
    "DisableGWX" = DWORD: 00000001

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]
    "DisableOSUpgrade" = DWORD: 00000001

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\OSUpgrade]
    "AllowOSUpgrade" = DWORD: 00000000
    "ReservationsAllowed" = DWORD: 00000000

    -COPY EVERYTHING ABOVE THIS LINE-

Once this is done, you should be without the notification and your Microsoft Updates must return to its normal state.  If you ever want to upgrade to Windows 10 new (remember, this is a work in progress and if you upgrade already on this system and active - there is a license for Windows 10 you'll never pay for related to this individual machine for the life of this individual machine) you can probably use the media creation tool to make * or * reverse the registry values (all above (: 00000001 becomes: 00000000 and all DWORD: 0-0000000 becomes: 00000001) and save this file and MERGE again.  Restart and you are back where you were before.

    * TIP * for everyone out there.  One thing I saw not advertised on the option of restoration of 30 days you have with Windows 10 is that * if * you run the media creation toolat any point in these 30 days, it BREAKS the ability to restore - even if you did just to create an ISO image, so you should have the installation media to continue.  That's because this tool recreates the $' Windows. ~ BT' and ' $Windows. ~ records of the WS on the root of your C drive and these two folders and their content after the upgrade as well as the "Windows.OLD" folder (the only 'visible by default' one of the three) are all necessary for the process of restoration work.

It's a little 'reflection', but the images (animated ones) could be useful at least some number of words is above this line...

(Animated - GIF to display in a web browser for full effect.)

(Same basic steps for Windows 7 users...)

... and JUST in CASE WHERE someone does not know how (in Windows 8.1) put in place their system so that they can see the file Extensions (the letters after the dot in filenames)--> here is a GIF to show you how:

(Animated - GIF to display in a web browser for full effect.)

(Yes, there are some similar settings in Windows 7 to see the file extension.)

    @ Evanston only!...

You see the effects of a hijackware infection! If you had used the computer longer, I might recommend trying to detect & remove infections. But it would probably take a week or two and I'm sure you have better to do with your time right now so I would recommend the following (which shouldn't take any more than two hours of uninterrupted time).

    See...

    Cleaning a compromised system
         http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc700813.aspx

Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows. Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) will NOT fix it!

HOW to do a clean install of Win7: see "using the custom installation and formatting the hard drive option" (or "reinstall it Windows 7") http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7 article

NOTE: If your computer came with a set of disks, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the restoration of the system) you would use to do the clean install (AKA a "destructive recovery").

After the new installation, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of EVERYTHING on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or one local network (i.e. other computers) AND BEFORE to plug in a flash, SD card, or any other external drive to the computer otherwise:

4 steps to help protect your new computer before going online
         http://www.Microsoft.com/security/pypc.aspx

VERY IMPORTANT! -Online free trial Norton will be reinstalled (but invalid) when Windows is reinstalled. You MUST uninstall the trial for free AND download/run the removal tool again Norton before installing updates AND BEFORE installing your new application antivirus (for example, Avast5 or Microsoft Security Essentials, free).

Tip: Do not install Spybot again; It's really overkill in Win7 my humble OPINION, especially if you are installing Microsoft Security Essentials.

    Hi Giovanni,.

Thank you for your response with the current state of the question.

I suggest you try directly upgrade to Windows 10 of Windows 8 through the media creation tool.

I recommend you to check the system requirements for the installation of 10 Windows on the computer.

    https://www.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows/Windows-10-specifications

Also communicate with the computer manufacturing and try to confirm if your computer is compatible to install Windows 10 or not.

If your computer meets all the system requirements, I suggest to use the media creation tool in the link below and choose the option PC this upgrading to Windows 10. Before moving to Windows 10, I recommend you make a backup of important files and folders on the external hard drive.

  • HP EliteBook 850 G3: HP EliteBook 850 G3: its problems after the update of Windows 10 anniversary

    Hi people!

After the update of Windows 10 birthday I have problems with my sound card. There are two sound cards listed by Device Manager. The first is "Conexant Audio of ISST" and the second "Intel High Definition Audio". I know not weather it was the case before the update. I just recognized it after the update when I had sound problems.

In any case, on a sound start works on the other boot it does not work. It seems that Windows chooses the sound card, every time when it starts. Sometimes it takes the bad sound card.

I tried to uninstall maps its and their resettlement. On the HP site, there is a driver for the Conexant map bot no driver for Intel High Definition Audio card. 10 Windows itself is not find a driver for this sound card. I also tried to reinstall the other drivers, chipset drivers for example. But unfortunately it did not help. I also tried to disable the Intel High Definition Audio, but also without success.

What else can I try? I don't want to reinstall Windows. There must be a solution without this. Any ideas? Here's a screenshot of my device manager, perhaps it helps:

If you need more information, please let me know.

    Best regards

    Ty

I just tried this driver and I still have sound after 6 resets.

  • conditionally quickly monitor the key based on LabVIEW being the application of the update in Windows

    Hi all

I use LV 2009 in Vista.  I use a VI dynamic, in addition to higher level, to monitor the key pad.  It works great except for the fact that when I have another application open during the execution of the LabVIEW application, it still meets the press of button.  that is so that the use of the calculator and pressing the ESC key to clear the display, LabVIEW reacts as well.

LabVIEW will know if it is the "application of the update" in windows environment?  I know he can tell it is windows that are in front, but what about other applications?  I think to use this to filter keys when LV is not the front application.
