• A6 Missing slides after publication

  Hello.  Captivate 6 (with the latest patch) fails to publish all slides in a course. With each republish, different slides are ignored. Note that this same file of course published with success a month ago. The only difference was if the project has NOT used a playback bar - it had customized buttons next and previous. Buttons have been removed and the default playback bar is now in use.

  There are only 15 slides. The number of blades that appear after publication varies each time.

  After a postback, I was able to come back in the missing slide - and then he disappeared again.

  Details of the project:

  • publication in the SWF format (tried Flash 10 and 11)
  • No audio
  • no other imports (such as PowerPoint slides)
  • contains a few simple actions of art (show/hide)

  Assuming that the file has been corrupted - I started a new project from scratch, simply copy the objects and the slide masters to the new project - exactly the same thing happened in the newly created project.  I also tried to use the playback bar different themes.  Nothing works. Help?

  If disappointing I have not received any comments or ideas about this problem. But I found the source of the problem on my own. For reasons that are not clear to me - some hides all slides banned from publication - or maybe they were editing but didn't were not accessible using these skins. For example, the skin "Arctica" created the problem.  When I use the default skin, all slides published and were visible.

  I have 4 slides of film in a keynote presentation.  3 of them, a single tap once begins the next slide.  But I have a slide film which stops, but needs two cocks to move on to the next.  They all look the same transitions and effects (IE, no)

  The usual culprits are either an object on the slide, visible or invisible, with animation attached, or the slide is duplicated

  You can check the Advanced Interaction Panel? You have a note attached to the interactive objects in the simulation? If so, check the desired option Quiz, more specific preferences.

• Zoom slider and a padlock, in the missing library mode

  Hi, compare the zoom slider and a padlock, in the library mode is absent from my main screen and doesn't appear in the second window, if this field is selected.  It's a change with LR5.6, or do I have to do something to select this feature?  I find the comparison function much easier to use on the main screen, rather than in the second window.

  The padlock and the cursor should show on two screens, but maybe you have the toolbar hidden. Try pressing the button T a couple of times to toggle the toolbar.

• Exit button doesn't work is not on the Master Slide

  I have an exit with the attached exit action button on my e-learning project in model of slides, poster so all on all other content model of slides. This, in turn, displays the button exit on any slide I want to add to my project. Is there any reason the exit action attached to this button may not work? Whenever I am in my project to examine, the button never closes the project. It is just click, but does nothing. Do I need to have the action of the button available on the slides to master CONTENT rather than the main model of slides?

  

  @wc @ fmiosa as moderator, I have to ask you to NOT post answers that are wrong or mislead other users of Captivate. I considered that the deletion of your response, but you are going to insult me (new) if I do. When you say "Buttons do not work when, on the model of slides", your response seems to say that you can insert buttons on a master slide, but they never work? This is not good at all: If you can insert a button on a master slide must be a button of form because the other buttons cannot be inserted on a master slide at all. Apparently you missed the appearance of form buttons, almost 4 years ago. They are interactive objects only you can use on slides of masters, you can insert on the first slide and the time for the rest of the project, you can use them on the question slides and slides of score. If you always use the Captivate 5.5 or before, which mentions at least in your response, adding that this could change in future versions

  I added a few slides of different folios to your Favorites. When I go to the Favorites list, tap on any item - the first slide in an article is displayed, but not the slide which has been added to your Favorites.

  Favorite work at its article, not a page-level, so what you want to do only is not supported.

  OK, so I think it's something simple, but I've been home long enough today I thought I should break down and ask. I have about nine slides with this same problem. My apologies in advance if I'm just having a bad day and missed a post that would have answered my question completely without having me ask

  I'm on Captivate 5.5, and the slides are simple - composed of two legends of text, a graphic, a front and a "back" button. The button image and back you can ignore it because they do not really play in this scenario.  The first caption text is visible, the second is hidden. I tried this two ways and or work in a manner:

  I have a button coded for success show 2nd legend text, three attempts, the value and the last attempt is made to go to the next slide (I also got it continue - or work). I went also as regards as a tip action (overkill I know) the code to make the text of the legend visible and then advance on the next click, but that does not advance the slide either. I must be missing something simple, but I'm really at a loss as to what it is! Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you all!

  I think that you may be overloading it.

  Why don't you just place the second text on the timeline of the slide caption appear just after the break point of the button?

  This way you won't need to worry about or HIDE or any action leading.  The timeline stops at the key, so that the user can read the first legend.  When the user simply clicks on the key the playhead continues to play and they see the second legend appear.  Either you have an another butto to pause the timeline once again to allow them to read at leisure or otherwise allow enough time before the end of the slide is reached.

• Could not import all of the PowerPoint slides

  I created a PPT presentation with 117 slides I want to import into Captivate 3. However, whenever I try to import slides PPT in Captivate file, I see that Captivate detects the first 77 slides of the presentation (40 slides are still missing). I tried to cut the PPT file into several smaller files and import each of these files separately, but whenever I get to the 77th slide, Captivate cannot import slides more (when I go to file > import > PowerPoint slides... and select the desired PPT file, it shows only a blank slide even if the PPT file in question has several slides in there).

  I found the answer: in the pane left of your PPT presentation, when you click on 'Preview', you can see that each slide has its own name. most of the slides have no names at all (the space next to them is just empty), however some slides are named after a specific text box, that you can find on the slide itself. It turns out the slides that Captivate has not detected that all had exactly the same name (as you might see in the section overview in the left of your presentation as pane described above). I simply deleted the names in order to could be "no-name" slides as all other slides in the presentation. It also automatically removed from the text box related on those slides, but I simply replaced those with the standard toolbar text boxes.

  Summary: All the slides have different names (or blank) as seen from the Plan of your presentation for Captivate tab import correctly.

• I can't get the move animation to automatically trigger the next slide

  New to Keynote. I wonder if there is a way to trigger the next slide to load after doing an animation out, that does not involve having to make an additional click? For now, I have text that moves transition and get him out on click, which then leaves me a blank screen, rather than the transition to the next slide.

  you need to download the latest version of QuickTime Player for Windows from Apple http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
  If you have problems you can try to remove the existing installation and install again.

• Restoring iTunes + Song of the missing links

  I moved my iTunes from one PC to the other folder. The entire folder.   See make a library of portable split to the bottom. With your library in the correct form, it can be moved without any problem.

  The "missing file" error occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parents, or the reader, records it feeds has been a change in the letter of the drive or you have moved a non-portable library to a different path (see make a split cell library for more details). It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

  Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl - I to get the information, and then click No when asked to try to locate the track. Look under the file tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music directory in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case.
