Target SNMP not registering not

I use HPSIM to monitor our HP ProLiant servers and blades. I activated and configured SNMP on our ESXi v5 servers, but when I put the target for traps, my target (Server HPSIM) receives all the traps.

After setting the target using VICFG-SNMP < connection stuffs > t hpsimserver@162/community, return messgae is tht, the goal has been fixed.

The race-option VIEW, I see:

Current settings of the SNMP agent:
Activated: 1
UDP port: 161

Communities:
myString

Targets of notification:

Options:
EnvEventSource = details

If I ssh to the server, the /etc/vmware/snmp.xml file displays the configured targets.

I restarted SNMP and the server itself without change in French - VIEW the results.

I used the June, HP build of VMware ESXi 5 CD to install this and many other servers, which all have the same problem with establishing goals SNMP.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Your vicfg-snmp command has no effect, because Notification targets remain blank.

It looks like this in our case and works very well with our HP SIM:

# vicfg - snmp - s

Current settings of the SNMP agent:

Activated: 1

UDP port: 161

Communities:

Community

Targets of notification:

x.x.x.x@162/community

Options:

EnvEventSource = details

Try the following:

vicfg-snmp - activate - target x.x.x.x@162/trapcommunity - communities

(Try to use an IP address if it does not work with a DNS name)

Use vicfg-snmp - test to send a test trap. Also, make sure the firewall of ESXi allows to send traps SNMP over UDP/162 and receive queries SNMP over UDP/161.

  • PS4000 group, "target did not in time to a request from task management."

    Hey everybody,

A year ago I could re - purpose a PS4000 SAN and an old proliant server to make a small network of Hyper-V.  He was always a great and me has not given any problems.  Recently I acquired a second PS4000 server and proliant... so I added the second for the group from SAN SAN in intend to do a second volume in the group for my second server to use.

The problem I have is that my second server can apparently connected to the second volume via iScsi, but once it is connected I can not format the disk or anything like that.  Attempt to initialize and format the drive will just forever, disk management apparently freezing.  There is an error in the event viewer saying "Target has not responded to time to a task management application".  In addition the same group SAN newspaper shows the event 'iSCSI target session has been closed. iSCSI connection intra-group failed. Reset was received on the connection.

If someone could give me an overview on this it would be greatly appreciated... I'm quite new in the world of SAN.  The only difference between the two servers is be Server 2012 and the other is 2012 R2.

I thought about it... I just wanted to post my answer here, just in case someone else has the same problem.

While it was important to update the firmware on the SAN, which solved the problem was actually the upgrade the firmware of the NETWORK card in my server.  In my case, there was a utility to upgrade the firmware for my HP NC382T NIC in my Proliant DL380 G7 server on HP support site.  When you use the utility, I found that the iScsi firmware was very outdated and has been invited to be updated.  After the upgrade of the firmware and drivers for good measure, the iScsi connection worked perfectly.

  • Copy-paste/Clipboard bug in Windows 7 if the target is not open before the copy operation

Copy-paste/Clipboard bug in Windows 7 if the target is not open before the copy operation

Behavior of copy - paste doesn't seem to work properly in Win7.

I just migrated to a new machine of Windows 7 with new Office 2010 installed where I performed tests on the problem.

If I copy the text to the Clipboard from an application open MS (for example Excel, but also other programs MS like windows Explorer, internet Explorer, etc.), and then open a fresh word (one instance open) document and paste the text, it appears as an oval-shaped blob image.

Similarly the same problem when I subsequently open apps package and try to make a hem

    The problem does not arise

    1. If the fresh Word document is already open before doing the copy operation

    2. If another document is already open before doing the copy operation

    3. If the copy on an Excel cell (for example) make it, stick first to Excel, and then open a fresh Word document (single instance) and paste to that

It is not just Word. Other target applications get the unwanted copy if they are open between the copy and paste.

This bug is not present in XP.

    Thank you very much.

OK, it's more clear now. It is Office 2010 which trashes the Clipboard when the first instance of a program Office 2010 is open (well, I tried only Excel and Word).

Scenario 1: Open Excel, write a few essays in a cell, copier, copy to the Clipboard, open the new Word document, paste that and the oval blob error occurs

Scenario 2: Open Word, write a few characters test, copier, copy to the Clipboard, open new worksheet Excel, paste that and the oval blob error occurs

Scenario 3: Open Word, write a few test characters, copy to the Clipboard, close the word document, open it again, dough one and the oval blob error occurs

Scenario 4: Open Word, write a few characters test, copy to the Clipboard, open another document, paste and no error occurs

Scenario 5: With Excel and Word open, first cut an and stick to the others - works fine

Conclusion: the windows clipboard is always corrupted when the first instance of an Office application is opened.

    Kind regards

Think about it logically, is that correct?

You say: DELETE something that does not exist. The NOT MATCHED block will be executed only when the data being sought are not found.

    AS FAR AS I KNOW:

For NON MATCHED block, INSERT only is allowed.

For block MATCHED, UPDATE, and DELETE are allowed.

    Question:

Why oracle.exe takes 8 Virtual G; bytes, memroy target may not go beyond 5 G. How to minimize the virtual bytes perfmon

Thank you for your time and help.

When you talk about Oracle.exe you seem not to take into account

    -L'executable memory will too

-Oracle is a multithreaded Windows process, so memory consumption goes also to the different client that are connected to the database session.

This means, you consume approximately 3G of memory beyond the LMS, and it is quite reasonable.

So if you want to make sure that oracle consumes less than 8G memory, you have two options

    -reduce the SGA

You spend more than 50 percent of the memory of the SGA. Oracle has never recommended that

You might be willing to v$ sga_target_advisor allows you to see the impact of this change.

You may also set your SQL queries

-the second option you have is to stop Oracle.

For sure it will use less than 8G in this solution.

  • Load order of target does not work properly in 11.2.0.2

    Hello

Mappings that are migrated from version 11.2 OWB10.2 that contains several targets do not work according to the load order of target given in the mapping.

To test is that a problem with the migration that we had created a smaple target containg 3 mapping and mentioned the order in each target table as well as the mapping of loading property.

The order in which targets are loaded was random. But when we have 2 targets it seems to work. But for the migrated maps is also not working.

  • Problem burning DVDs. "Error in device - device target is not suitable for use.

    Hi all

Initially, I had many problems with PE8. However, the update of nVidia Driver resolved most of them.

Just thought it was important to note the success, but also failure!

However, one problem remains. I get the following error at the level of the mark of 96% when burning. "Error in device - device target is not suitable for use. It is always the mark of 96% and the program is "[something] compilation" when this happens.

After searching this site I noticed that the user rgferg posted a similar problem 13 days ago has been redirected to repost in a different place, but never did.

I tried to burn a clip 1 hour 4 times and each time I chose the slowest burning speed (8 MB/s), as suggested. It seems that the lower support is a culprit, so I bought some Verbatim DVD media - R [quality] try in my optical drive SATA Phillips. I'm skeptical it will work, but nevertheless open-minded. I'll give it a whirl when my computer has stopped capturing VHS, I train.

Whenever combustion not not the disc was ejected automatically and the burn process actually started and progresses maybe about 40% or more.

That tells me it's a question of sharing, rather than issue a support. Somewhere on this forum, he suggested that I go through a process of 20 stages and remove/disable each piece of software that can compete with the first, among other things. IF I do this what do I burn through the outside of Adobe? What I need imgburn or whatever it was called? What happens if I like Nero? Nero 6 has worked very well for me for 3 years.

So I am ready to uninstall my old optical drive burning software, who out there can recommend commercial software which, for them, creates a painless Adobe burning experience without errors or conflicts? Perhaps there is another solution that I've not seen on this forum?

I am running Windows XP SP3. I have the latest nVidia drivers for my cards SLI GeForce 7600 GS. I have 3 monitors. RAID 0 SATA, 2 GB RAM, Athlon X 2 5400.

    Justin.

Since you are apparently able to burn to a folder on your hard drive, but not directly on a DVD, the problem is most likely that another program (Nero, for example) is interfering with communications between Premiere Elements and your DVD burner. This is very common.

Rather than fight with it, the easiest solution is simply to burn your files on your hard drive and then use Nero (or whatever your burner program) to burn the VIDEO_TS folder to a playable disc. This process takes no more time and offers a number of advantages, including the fact that he make several copies of your DVDs very easy.

  • RT target does not read shared variable hosted by host

    Hello

I just started to move my LabView application to a system of RT, and I came up with a problem. When I host a shared variable network-published on the RT target, I can access through vi running on the target and the host (which is good!). However, when I have this host on the host variable (such as by simply dragging on 'My Computer' in Explorer projects or all create a new variable), the vi running on the target RT is not read.

I wonder if there is a problem with my installation of LabView, or if there is some step I'm missing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My host is running Windows 7 x 64, with LabView 2009 SP1 32 - bit. The objective of the RT is a real-time OS-powered desktop PC. I have attached a very simple project to illustrate this problem: I start 'Target VI' and 'Host VI' at the same time. On 'Host VI', I change the values of the two shared variables: 'hosted host' and 'target hosted. Only the changes made to the target "hosted" appear on the 'target VI'.

    Thank you!

    Andrew

Take a look at this link (software configuration and firewall hardware to support National Instruments products) and this link (configuration of firewalls and routers network address translating shared Variables) to see if this highlights exactly what you need to explain in your application regarding the definition of the firewall exceptions.

  • How to have an entry in the list 'No. Target' parent not 'clickable '?

I use DHTML tree as my list template and the list is added to the zero page in the Navigation area model. All entries in the child list are working properly and the parent entry list is set to "No Target". However, when I mouse over the parent entry list, the list of entries parent stills show that there is a clickable link, even if it does nothing if I click on it. It is misleading. If it is a 'feature', is anyway do disable it or bypass it?

A better way to disable the link of the parent list item is to choose the "target Type" = "URL" and "The target URL =" #" When the user clicks on the parent list element, the browser would simply navigate to the top of the web page itself. In other words, he would just stay on the same web page, and there is not even a page refresh must be executed.

  • Flash - drop target does not work in the container?

    Hello

I am very new to global Flash but I hope this isn't a stupid question!

I produced a Flash movieclip containing a fair a few layers, including layer masks, actionscript, etc.. One of the things that is allows the user to click and drag a number of movieclips and place them anywhere in the mc, but if they fall on specific targets and then some actionscript (AS2) kicks in, stops the drag object to be moved again and allows to browse its executives to basically 'expand' the drag object and beep to indicate to the user that they have struck the appropriate brand.

It all works perfectly on its own or in a window of browser etc.

The problem I have is when I try to insert the Flash movie in a package of e-learning in Adobe Captivate 4. Things work ok apart from when you drop the object slipped on a drop target, nothing happens. Does not run the actionscript code.

Would the fact that the movieclip is (probably) sitting in a container (the Captivate e-Learning Pack) be the cause of the problem? If so, how can I solve this problem?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Code as1, as2 is not.  and who has all sorts of problems when you load in a container movieclip.

you really should learn as2.  but in as1, it would be:

{if (Eval (GetProperty (This, _droptarget)) ._name eq 'Ref_in')

It's a very uncomfortable syntax (as1 being clumsy) and you need to remove these slashes (/) of your code.

    in as2, this would be:

    {if (Eval (this._droptarget) ._name == "Ref_in")}

We need to calibrate the Analyzer (rolls and glasses are empty) our T3500 printer, but the calibration target is not accepted (calibration target is not valid), we tried in user (maintaining the image quality) and also in service (service utilities - validation scan) mode, but in both cases, the target of calibration is rejected. Finally, the problem is solved by the black pencil..., there is a box of identification (such as a bar code) on the upper right corner of the calibration sheet, even if it has been used to sentence, but some places on this label were dead black and we have improved in pen and now the target is accepted and calibration is successfully completed.
