Try to do a repair installation;
1. Insert the DVD of Windows 7
2. restart your computer
3. When asked if you want to boot from your DVD player, do it.
4. Select your language, click Next.
5. click on "repair your computer".
6. Select the operating system you want to repair.

I don't have the possibility to repair the operating system or select one as you suggested in step 6. I have and here is a picture of the dialog box http://www.sevenforums.com/attachments/tutorials/1010d1227511616-startup-repair-repair.jpg

EDIT: Here is the solution I found: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itprovistasp/thread/0c438376-1486-4ae4-9847-2de7a8767f27

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Follow these steps:

    (b) find the file called dfrg.inf.

    (c) right click on the file and select "install".

  • Scheduler service fails

    Hi all

I configured the Scheduler OBI with changes in the credentialstore.xml file but once I could do... I'm unable to start the Task Scheduler service. It gives an error saying: "cannot start the Task Scheduler service on Local computer.

To configure the Scheduler, I followed the link "http://obiee101.blogspot.com/2008/08/obiee-configuring-configuring-scheduler.html".

Can someone help me with my problem? Suggest me some solutions for this?

Any help would be considered to be relatively useful...

    Thank you and best regards,
    Susan

    Susan, can you do this:
    1) go to the /scheduler/config and open instanceconfig.xml
    (2) look at the value for under . Post this value here.
    (3) from your command line, type tnsping where ++ is what you have found in instanceconfig.xml. After the release of this order here.

This will find what tns entry you have configured the Scheduler, and if there is connectivity. Once we have established that we can watch the user accounts that you use in the database, but there is no need to do this until connectivity is proven.

You can try to scan the file system [SFC] checker on the computer that will replace missing or corrupt files & check if the problem persists.

  • Can I stop or restart the Task Scheduler service from the command prompt in Windows 2008 service?

I'm on Server 2008. I have a scheduled task that is not working properly. I went to Services, and I see that it is configured to start automatically and it is actually being run. The problem is that I can't stop, pause, or restart the service. Y at - there a command I can run that can stop or restart the service?

Why not with the right button of the job itself in the Task Scheduler, and then stop it?

There are several methods to stop the Task Scheduler service that. Here's one of them:

    1. Create a task scheduled, called 'StopScheduler' as follows:
      -Triggering factor: at boot time
      -Command: sc.exe
      -Settings: time stop
      -User: System
      -Run with the highest privileges.
    2. Right click on the task of StopScheduler, and then click Run.
    3. Solve your tasks.
    4. Restart the Task Scheduler.
    5. Disable or remove the task StopScheduler.

It's curious.  The ST journal file must be in the Windows folder.

I downloaded a copy of the file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    http://CID-6a7e789cab1d6f39.SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?RESID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311
When you see the files available for download, you will not see the extension of file (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, etc), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

You have to put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

I don't know where to put the file mstask.ini - windows\system32 maybe?  There is no .ini file in the folder inf. so I don't know and you may need to try different places and keep reading...

I don't think I've never reinstalled TS (but other things) so I did all the instructions on how to do it, but if the installation stops and asks you for a file, at this point, leave the installation 'wait' and then search your HARD drive for the file he wants to (be sure to include the search for hidden and system files too) and if/when you find return to the installation of waiting and fill the void or navigate to the folder where the installation file is enough (point installation where the file is, so it can find the file he wants to) and continue up to the next point.  You may need to do it for multiple files until you get all the way through it and you will see that some are just not on your HARD drive and you need to download.  You can't cancel the installation and start over every time - just work through a single file at a time by pointing the installation to the folder where the file he needs.

Maybe later, I reinstall my TS service to practice and be able to understand the files he needs and give some better advice about this.

Comodo may also interfere (I do not use it, but it's possible).  Did you see if your TS will start with disabled Comodo?

You should also consider the malware, then you might want to start with this:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
  • Windows Media Center - no receiver or Task Scheduler service

Big Media Center problem - no Recv or Service Sched

    Hello

My media center PC is really screwed.  I have Win7 Home Premium and I have more a receiver or a scheduler service.

I started having problems after a power failure when I lost my digital QAM channels.  If I went through config tuner in WMC and I chose digital tuners, it looks like there was a mistake and I had to restart WMC and/or windows.  I was able to add all channels manually, but then that stopped working.  If I settled on a digital channel, he wouldn't say no tuner available to meet the demand.  Analog channels has worked well.

Then I installed Hauppauge WinTV and he listens to every time, analog and digital channels.  If I start WinTV to grant a digital channel, then I could go to WMC and I could no problem.

Now I can't do that because I can not configure tuners, digital or analog.  When I try to set up live TV, it is said the same before, TV program installation can not continue.  That's when I discovered that these 2 Media Center services lack.

I don't want to do a new clean install, I do as my life when these windows problems occurred.  I paid for this upgrade because all I heard was how this is the best windows ever, etc. etc.

    Help, please!

    Hi Frank,.

You can try the following steps and check if it helps solve the problem of media on your computer center.

Check if Media Center Service Launcher and Media Center Receiver service is started and set to automatic. To do this, follow the steps below:

    1. click on start.

    2. in the start search box, type service.msc, then press on enter.

    3. in the services window, right-click on the Windows Media Center Receiver Service, and click Properties.

    4. check if the startup type is set to automatic, otherwise it is set to automatic.

    5. also, make sure of that logon has the value system toLocal account

    6. click on apply > general tab > start service. Click the Start button, this will start Windows Media Center Service receiver.

    7. repeat the above steps 3 to 6 for Media Center Scheduler Service.

Restart the computer and see if you can set channels.

If you are unable to find the Services in the Services window above, I suggest you run the checker (SFC Scan) system files on your computer and check if that helps.

The auditor of the filesystem (SFC.exe) tool determines which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    2. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow
sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

Access the link below for more information about the System File Checker tool

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936212

I hope this helps. Let us know the results.
