  • YouCam software problem!

    Hi all

I could not install an update of HP drivers and downloads from the web site of the YouCam software that came with my HP Pavilion dv5-1009tx Entertainment PC. When I run the update it says that an older version of the YouCam software is already present and must be removed before installing the upadate. I click the button provided Yes and he begins to remove the software and then it pops up this message,

Windwos title: YouCam - InstallShield Wizard

Message: error! The definition of the lost product file.

I click on the OK button only provided in the message window and then the installation process stops and the software is uninstalled or updated.

There is no spelling mistake in the text of the message I typed on it. I tried the Recovery Manager to reinstall the YouCam software and get the same message. I tried Revo Uninstaller and get the same message. As far as I can go and still get the same message, I tried the system restore.

I am running out of ideas here, can anyone help int his case.

    Thank you!

I finally managed to fix the problem. Called and if is maintained with the Support of HP, but the problem could not be resolved. Has taken the initiative to browse the pages of support from Cyberlink.com for YouCam software and found the answer on how to uninstall the software. Correctly uninstalled and reinstalled the HP website was last updated. Now I have a working software and its not more awkward!

  • How to uninstall the printer software

I can't get my printer HP Deskjet 3940v at work; I tried the troubleshooter without result. I want to completely uninstall the printer.

I have the original disc for the printer that it is came with, so if I can remove all of my hard drive then I can re - install the printer and see if that solves the problem. I don't think that the problem lies in the hardware itself. HP offers more support for this printer.

Here is the problem and my question for the forum: (I am a novice) I went to Control Panel then printers and removed the printer from this location. But I don't think that uninstalled everything. I looked in programs and features, and I see there, no program to uninstall. (No HP, no Deskjet, no program to a printer).

I downloaded Revo Uninstaller and it still doesn't show any HP or other programs of the printer on my computer. But there must be something that has to do with the printer still on my computer. I looked in other posts on this site but didn't know what steps to uninstall a printer under Vista.

Can someone tell me the steps to completely uninstall the printer software?

I use Vista Home Premium OS on my Sony Vaio computer.

    Hi Mike,.

To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following question:

Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

You can uninstall and reinstall the printer in Device Manager and check if that does the trick.

  • Can't uninstall DisplayLink Core Software on a laptop Sony Vaio (VGN-NR110E model) for a Windows Vista upgrade to Windows 7.

Hi, I wonder if there is someone who can help me on this issue because it prevents me to install Windows 7 on my laptop.  I have a Sony Vaio VGN-NR110E model, and when I try to install Win7 it tells me that I must first uninstall DisplayLink Core Software.  I went to my control panel to uninstall the program, and it doesn't let me, saying another program he has in use.  On this forum, someone suggested that I'm trying to boot my laptop in safe mode, and it can allows me to remove the program there.  My concern with this would be if I remove this program in Mode safe, how could make sure I'd be able to re - install DisplayLink Core Software should anything go wrong when I try to install Win7?

The other question I have is there are two other programs that appear to be linked to DisplayLink Core Software.  They are called SONY VGP-UPR1 and there is another utility called program SONY VGP-UPR1 (display Adapater). If I deleted those first, it seems that it can release DisplayLink Core software should be deleted.  In this case someone has already tried that and had success?

Could someone install Windows 7 on a Sony Vaio VGN-NR110E?

    Hi RC2076,

Welcome to Windows 7 answers Forum!

From what I can see SONY VGP-UPR1is a USB docking station for VAIO, try to temporarily disable by right clicking on the program. You can go ahead and uninstall the software basis of DisplayLink, as long as you have the CD for this software.

Once you are done uninstalling, you can install Windows 7 and later you install DisplayLink Core Software and select then the other two programs that are linked with the above mentioned software.

You can also run the Upgrade Advisor and check it out. Here is the link to download the Upgrade Advisor.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-7/get/Upgrade-Advisor.aspx

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Lack the HP (Officejet Pro 8600 Plus) utility. no need to reinstall - cannot uninstall the printer software

I had to wipe my iMac and resinstall IOS Mavericks (10.9.5).  Printer (Officejet Pro 8600, 9N11g) works, but won't scan (double-clicking icon in "original item cannot be found") and the HP utility on dock icon is absent, replaced by a "?."  I found instructions to uninstall the printer software so I can reinstall... but there is no longer any HP or "Uninstalling HP's" on my Mac HD folder.  Not there at - it a HP folder in the library/printers folders.  Research Spotlight shows no HP or Hewlett-Packard folder on my hard drive.

I downloaded a 'HPPPrinterDrivers3.0.dmg' and ' HP-Injket-SW-OSX - Mavericks_v12.34.37.dmg, "which I'm hoping will contain updated software/drivers to reinstall the printer and I hope as the HP utility so I can resume the scan function, but I can't understand how to remove the current printing software, and I don't know if those are the files migrate to use.  I understand just remove the printer will not be enough.

Can someone provide step by step instructions how uninstall the software and installation (since I don't know if I have the correct dmg files)?  Thank you.

    Hello

First I offers to repair disk permissions, and then try to reinstall the HP software.

Follow the steps below to repair disk permissions:

    1. open the Applications folder.
    2. go to the Utilities folder.
    3. double-click on disk utility.
4 Select the hard disk that contains the boot volume.
    5. go to the first aid tab and select Repair disk permissions.
Note: This process may take several minutes depending on the Mac and the amount of the permissions that need to be repaired. The progress log shows when the process was completed.

Once you are finished, run the HP-Injket-SW-OSX - Mavericks_v12.34.37.dmg and follow the instructions on the screen, be sure to select the option of Scanning HP when installing to get all the features of the software.

Please, try the above steps and let me know the results,

  • Recommended Firefox I uninstall adobe reader software that I think my system because of bad reviews. That will effect my programs adobe as a whole?

I'll always be able to open PDF documents in my web browser if the adobe reader software is uninstalled?

Firefox has a built-in PDF file reader.
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/view-PDF-files-Firefox-without-downloading-them

The problem with Adobe Reader isn't the popularity or 'poor user comments', it is because there are several security issues with Adobe products, which never seem to get fixed. Most web browsers have their own daughter PDF readers these days, which allow the user to view these files in the browser without needing a plugin.

  • Uninstall third-party software

Hello. When I install software that requires simply by dragging the applications icon in the 'Applications' folder, I feel comfortable just by dragging it to the trash if I don't want. But when an application uses a Setup program I did not. The application that worries me particularly (but also other applications installed) is "Tune Up My Mac". I unintentionally installed its developers because he FRAUDULENTLY"portrayed as free. Yes, it is free to download, but it costs $40 to use it. And it runs automatically whenever I start my computer and gives me a hard time when I try to stop it. I don't have $ 40 to spend on it, even if I thought it was worth. So can someone please tell me how safely and completely get rid of it? TIA

Any software, no matter from where it comes, which aims to 'clean up' or 'speed up' a Mac automatically is a scam.

Any third party software that is not installed on the App Store or by drag-and - drop in the Applications folder and uninstall by drag - move to the trash, is a modification of the system.

Whenever you delete changes to the system, they must be eliminated completely, and the only way to do this is to use the uninstall tool, if any, provided by the developers, or follow their instructions. If the software has been removed incompletely, you may redownload or reinstall even to finish the job.

I never install modifications of the system myself, and except as stated in this comment, I do not know how to uninstall them. You'll have to do your own research to find this information.

Here are some general guidelines to help you get started. Suppose you want to remove the so-called "BrickMyMac" (a hypothetical example). First of all, menu using the product, check if there is one, for instructions. Not finding here, look at the Web site, let's say www.brickmymac.com. (Maybe it's not the name real site, if necessary, search the Web for the name of the product). If you don't find anything on the Web site or in your search, contact the developer. While you are waiting for a response, download BrickMyMac.dmg and open it. There may be a request here as "Uninstall BrickMyMac." If this is not the case, open "BrickMyMac.pkg" and look for an uninstall button. The uninstall program can also accessible by clicking on the button customize, when one exists.

Back up all data before making any changes.

Generally, you will need to restart the computer in order to perform an uninstall. Until you do this, there may be no effect, or the unpredictable effects.

If you can't remove the software in any other way, you will have to erase and install OS X. Never install any third party software, unless you're sure you know how to uninstall in the contrary case, it can create problems which are very difficult to solve.

Try to remove the complex system of changes by hunting for files by name, often will not work and can make the problem worse. The same goes for 'utilities' as the 'AppCleaner"designed to remove software.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-199sa: the Cyberlink YouCam software update is ' hang "

    Hello

Today, HP has automatically downloaded and installed Cyberlink MediaSuite10-desktop on my laptop and everything went without a hitch.

It then downloaded immediastey software Cyberlink YouCam OK, but the 'installation' seems to have hung during the last 40 minutes or so.

In Task Manager, a process of 'Windows Modules Installer function' alternates between enough intense activity of the CPU and the disk activity.

I'll give him a little longer, but is it possible to interrupt this installation apparently failed without causing problems? If so, how can I go to try reinstalling software Cyberlink YouCam - or the software HP tries again to itys own agreement?

I had only the laptop a few weeks and that you don't know much anything.

    John latter

    The second installation went well.

This time, I watched what was going on:

When the download is complete, the actual attempt the installation was indicated by two gear wheels spinning - something I missed the first time I thought that the icon has failed (a cross instead of the green checkmark) meant that the program had hung.

Basically, I panicked for nothing - Oops!
