  Ranger_621, welcome to the forum.

  750 GTX graphics cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Therefore, it would be incompatible with your computer.  The last series of video cards that does not need UEFI was 640 gt.

  I have a C40 that was used with the infrared remote control successfully for months. I recently installed a Touchpad plugging directly into the 2nd port eNet.  The software is underway at 6.2.0.  Immediately after that I have connected and started using the touchpad, it was noted that the unit no longer meets the IR remote.  The base of the camera flashes when ar buttons pressed on the IR distance indicating that the IR signal is received, but there is no response from the codec.  Is this a "feature"?  Can I use the remote and the touchpad?

  Touch screen and remote control cannot work side by side. Once the touch screen is connected, it takes full control of the on-screen display, allowing no changes from the remote control. This is expected behavior.

  I'm sure that it will be not possible. There is no particular setting that allows this option and also separate driver is not known to me.

  If you want to use skip, play, stop, and another option how you want to configure with which application it must works. Sorry, but I think that there is nothing to do.

  Since it is obvious that some HP people come to this site, I was able to find an answer to my own question and thought I would post it.

  First, the documentation provided on this site is not accurate, or at least updated, so based is not your assumptions about research you do.  Second, the new remote control has a touch with the asterisk (Star) combination, and point at the bottom left like on a phone keypad.  If you scan channel brought in channels that have a point (or on my other TVs a dash), which is the key that you will use to get to the station.

  Reminder: You must be sure the scan station has identified the stations.  I had to do the sweep three times until I'm all.

  where´s so the problem? Just put new batteries in your machine and begin to control your computer with the remote control. Your portable computer with an infrared port that communicates with the remote and usually such device is automatically recognized by windows.

  May I ask what operating system do you use? XP or Vista?

  I have a laptop HP 6910P that has the Infarred Port on the front of the machine. Running ultimate 7 64 Windows Device Manager but says the drivers are installed and the device is functioning properly.

  IR remotes use another channel than IR networking which is kind of a lost thing of days past. We used to make transfers of IR of PDA files for computers laptops back in the day, but it was something different than IR remotes. Look in your control panel and see if you have an icon of wireless... This is where you configure infrared file transfers. Infrared has been 'Wireless' before there was wifi.

  Have you installed Windows yourself? Some drivers Toshiba important may be missing.

  So, I feel a bit silly about it...

  I tried to move the subwoofer closer to the sound bar and it connected immediately. I don't know what it was because it was an ope - box, and someone had it synced already... or if it is designed to do this.

  This thread can be marked as resolved. If anyone has doubts for me this unit, I feel fairly well-informed having done a lot of reading. Very impressed with it.

  When you download the driver to extract it to a folder created on your desktop. From there start the setup.exe file. It should work.

  got a little problem which I think I've seen on this forum before. My remote no longer works. Used to work properly. Now, with the laptop turned off and connected remotely, I can light up the lap top. However, it does nothing else. If I press a button, the red light on the remote flashes and the Red led on the receiver will Flash but nothing seems to happen.

  I checked in device manager and I have tried using another USB cable to connect the infra-red receiver. Any ideas on what could be the problem? There is no secret key which I pressed by accident is there which disables the remote control?

  I put t know if it helps but try to remove this command remotely in the Device Manager and unplugged the unit. After the new trial to restart to connect the remote control again.
