Tecra A2-need restoration and disk utilities

Hello
I'm new to the forum. I bought Toshiba Tecra A2 3 months ago, but unfortunately I lost my drive. I am an international student studying in London. Now I got in trouble. I have the registration number of windows. So if you have the recovery kit and if you kindly give me a copy of this I will be grateful.
Anything that you can send me mail to my email [email protected].

Thank you
Amroz

    My computer crashed so I had to use my recovery disks that are about 8-10 years. When I reinstalled Windows service pack 2, the system recovery tools and several other microsoft tools not have installed on my system. Is it possible to recover these tools? The command prompt tells me that they are not on my system and get help from the Server Manager in the service (Net HelpMSG 2185) option. Can you tell me what that means and if/how I can do this?  I can't find a tab from the system restore on my computer. I guess that's because I have more access to these tools. My messages when I try to update things like Windows Media Player tells me that I can't set a date of restoration and that if I lose my installed programs that they can not be recovered. Guess that means I have to use my recovery again disks?

  • Portege Z830 - restoration and reconstruction

    I have a Portege Z830 who plays up!.

    I tried to load on the main drivers of function and a few other utilities toshiba to get the lit keyboard, IE helps high and low BRIGHTNESS keys. It did not work.

    Since then, my laptop takes centuries start, I can't use windows update, it crashes and he asks me my password but I can not enter as it crashes again.
    If I use windows troubleshooting tool, which weighs too much. And internet Explorer within the win8.1 does not even the bbc.

    I'm close enough to think that I have to do a full rebuild.

    My challenge is that it is installed with Windows 7 and I have upgraded to windows 8 and 8.1.

    My questions are:
    1. everyone knows what precedes and is there quick ways to solve the above problems.
    2. What is the best way to rebuild my laptop, I have to go back to windows 7 and then upgrade to windows 8 again?

    Ideas gratefully received, I'm ok, reconstruction not eager not to there because it takes forever to backup and restore, and I must be missing something. But I think its necessary.

    As far as I know that the Portege or Satellite Z830 series was not supported to win 8.1 by Toshiba because he did not appear in the Windows 8.1 compatibility matrix.

    This means also to win 8.1 drivers or software for this series isn't available and not downloadable. This could be the reason why you n t get some special features for laptop.

    From my point of view of a few you might try to fix the Win 8.1 preinstalled using the repair feature s own system. If this doesn t help, I'm afraid, you need to restore the system of m.

    Are you what is the best way to rebuild the laptop?
    Well, it depends on the operating system.

    The Portege Z830 was pre-installed with Win 7. In this case the use of the Toshiba recovery disc install Win 7 again.
    If you want to reuse 8.1 Win, you have two choices: either you would update the Win 7 system-> 8-> 8.1 Win Win
    Or you buy the Win 8.1 Microsoft license and install own 8.1 win on this laptop.

    But as I said above: the drivers Win 8.1 and the software isn't available for this model

  • Restore system disk

    I recently tried to do a restore of the system on my Dell inspiron n5010 and deleted somehow everything. I need a restore disk on the system, or in a very smart way to solve this problem without one. I'm no longer under warranty so I get a free, even if my laptop is not coming with a... upsets a bit me which does not come with every purchase or at least get a system restore free disk even if they are not under warranty. Where can I get one? or is there a way for me to go in ths trouble another way?

  • Restore and recover a single file of data/Tablespace to reclaim space

    Oracle 11 G R2 with node 2 RAC, ASM and Data Guard

    11.2 Solaris

    I have a Bigfile Tablespace TB 5 on Production which has a very large table containing LOB data. Most of the LOBs have been deleted so now the space used is only 200G.

    I need to recover the space (to 4.8) below the high water mark (HWM). We tried all the usual methods (shrink, move, reorg online), but due to the enormous size of the space, they are all would require to take my Production database down for many hours. Also, I have limited disk space to work with.

    In 11 G RMAN skips data file blocks that do not contain at present no data when you save to disk for a backupset.

    I came with a possible alternative to reclaim space with RMAN below:

    1. turn the offending offline data file

    ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE OFFLINE 3.

    2 restore and recover the offending using data file:

    RUN {}

    SET NEWNAME for DATAFILE 3 on NEW;

    RESTORE THE 3 DATA FILE;

    DATAFILE 3 SWITCH;

    RECOVER DATA 3 FILE;

    }

    3. place the new file data online

    ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE 3 ONLINE;

    First: Will this work?

    Second: When I restore this data file, it will ignore the HWM on original table space and restore just the 200 GB of data, or he will restore the 5 TB of blocks used or not?

    Thank you.

    RMAN ignores empty blocks during the backup, but restoration will create the same file size as it has been earlier and restore data later. So you will get no benefit from it.

    Hello;

    You can make a leap like this:

    RMAN > RECOVER DATABASE SKIP users TABLESPACE; (for multiples use the comma between)

    Temp history, RESTORE DATABASE SKIP TABLESPACE;

    You will need to provide the Tablespace names in single quotes.

    Your RESTORE command must also include SKIP TABLESPACE tablespacename or SKIP FOREVER TABLESPACE tablespacename to exclude the specific tablespace.

  • Satellite Pro M30: Is it possible to restore the disk Win XP at least

    I recorded the M30 Pro of the Satellite with Win XP Professional 5 years on the Toshiba-Europe website.
    Is it possible to restore the disk Win XP at least?

    I'll ask Toshiba for assistance (already done) or there is a way to create the disks on mine?

    I'm sure someone went down this way (ar tried at least).

    PS: it is a time for the upgrade of the HARD drive.

    Thank you all.
    Wall

    Sorry, but I don't really know what you are meaning by the Win XP disk restore.

    The Toshiba laptop was delivered with the Toshiba Recovery CD.
    If you want to restore the OS from Windows XP that is installed on the HARD drive, then use this disk and reinstall the WinXP.
    To start the installation, you must boot from the recovery CD.

    If you want to create a clean image and then install Win XP with a CD of MS Windows, download the Toshiba driver and create the image using the tool like Norton Ghost third 3rd for example.

    Welcome them

  • Tecra M5: Need for a Slim Select Bay HARD drive adapter

    I bought the Tecra M5 last week and I'm very happy with it, but I also bought the disc adapter HARD Slim SelectBay (number PA3134U-2CTE)
    I already have a hard drive to go inside, but upon arrival, I found that they are not compatible, and I need a caddy / adapter plate so that it all works!

    Anyone have any ideas on a market after copy?
    I spent the last 4 hours of the day on the phone with various departments within Toshiba and suppliers, of which none seem to be able to help. I'm going to spend 280 on a 100 GB HARD drive, when a 120 gig on his own is only 120, I think 160 for the plate of the evasive / caddy is too expensive!

    Cheers in anticipation.

    Hello

    I found information on the net that the adapter Slim Select Bay drive HARD PA3134U-2CTE is a really good part, and I imagine that you must now only a compatible HARD drive.
    The drive HARD and any other compatible parts, you can order from the Toshiba service partner in your country.

  • Restored and impossible to reinstall sims 3

    I installed the Sims 3 the first day that I'm going and it worked perfectly. After that I did a system restore and tried to install it again it wouldn't work. During installation I get a pop up that says that there is an error. When I went to the site of ea games, I checked to see if my pc is compatible with the game and he said that my cpu speed, System ram and video card not conforming to the standards.  were oulling on my hair, trying to understand why he used to download again and why my pc won't install HHEEELLLPPP.....!

    No, your processor is fine.  Ignore the speed of your processor.  Your CPU Core 2 Duo is significantly faster to 1 .66GHz than a P4 2.4, so this isn't your problem.

    Redundancy control generally means that the CD is dirty, scratched or defective.  If you have an original disk, you can contact EA for a replacement.  Or you can try another CD/DVD drive and see if it works.

  • Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter Hangs

    The DISK CLEANUP and DISK DEFRAGMENTER freezes when it COMPRESS OLD FILES

    Agreed - you must remove the option compress old files:

    Compress old files comes from the good old days, when hard drives were weak and slow, and he had to each byte, you can get on your hard drive for programs and things.  Today, thanks to modern technology, it is almost superfluous.

    If you want your cleaning disc to run faster, I would just remove the option compress old files on XP because it is known to crash or give the illusion of being hanged.  If you have 1 million files on your system, you'll wait a long time and your system may appear to be hung (maybe that's really).

    I really don't think that with the technology available today that compress old files is necessary.  It would have been slow you if XP needs unzip a file.  Besides, nobody seems to be able to tell me at what age an old file is in the XP terminology... what was simply a file become old?  I just remove this 'feature' and never see him again and my disk cleanup runs in a Flash, since it doesn't have to search for old files to compress (some old way).

    It is a 'problem' for some systems that Microsoft made an article on how to disable it (mine is disabled)

  • Are there 3 partitions in iconia W510 win 8, primary, restoration and mbr partitions?

    Are there 3 partitions in iconia W510 win 8, primary, restoration and mbr partitions? I'm freezeups and other defects. I tried recovery and saw what looked like 3 partitions. tried to format the C: drive then tried to reload the dvd.still system's glitches and lost 2 partitions I think. The dvd system to recharge the three partitions, I see only a concert now about 15 of 32 GB HDD?

    There should be three partitions, there are questions that may appear if you try to use the reocvery disks without removing all three first. Since you are in the State in which your old system went to format C, just wipe the rest of the partitions off the power and run the DVD for a reboot to the original. It will create the partitoins suitable for you. Once everything is back now you can search here for suggestions about deleting the recovery partition (if you have several gigs in size) in order to free up space, because this partition is not necessary if you have the recovery DVDs.

    A few days ago, my windows xp reboot both and colud not restart my computer. I had to use my back for recovery system because the other option as in mode without failure or last good configuration didn't ' work corectly.
    This event occure to me several times and I am very confusede on this subject. . I have latest version of avast anti virus in my laptop. Please guide me and give me your solution for my problem towing?

    Thank you for your kidness

    What happens and what do you see when you try to open the system restore?

    When you say things "did not work", we need to know which "did not work" means exactly... I get an error message, nothing seems to happen, the system crashes, etc.

    Try answering the following questions, the better you can:

    Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.

    Please provide additional information on your system:

    What is your system brand and model?

    What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

    The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

    You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

    What you see you don't think you need to see?

    What do not you think that you should see?

    If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?
