  I m not a Tecra m7 owner but I would like to clear some things:

  (1.) I recommend using the diagnostic application of 3rd party like Everest Home edition to see what has been installed or not ;)
  (2.) to access the BIOS, please try the ESC button. It s a BIOS Toshiba and then ESC and then F1 should work.
  (3.) I don't recommend upgrading the operating system to Vista right now if you want to use the features of all laptop. Why? Its simply-> there are no drivers for Vista. We will have to wait

  If the laptop is not a? Capablea Vista? I assume that it will not be supported. I have more older non-Vista supported by Satellite. Vista works well and I na? t care about Toshiba specific stuff.

  Probably for laptop and PC manufacturers have decide to make some sort of a? Linea dead? and all products made before that this line is not supported. Bad for us, consumers, but good for the PC industry.

  In Device Manager, I have the "PCI Communicationscontroller" without the appropriate driver. What I have to do, that this element gets the correct driver?

  A Secoud problem is with my docking station. I have the PA3680E. When I have my S10 anchored on the station, I have another device without the correct driver. The USB-serial controller. Also the fingerprint reader - Gets an error when I run the application.

  Can someone help me get the correct insalled in the system?

  Windows XP 64-bit is not supported by Toshiba, there is no drivers for this OS. The 64-bit version of XP was not very popular then, probably, you will find all the drivers on external pages. If you want XP I recommend the 32-bit version or Windows 7 professional who has an XP virtualization mode.

  Tecra A11 - 11: 00 a WLAN Intel card in order to check the Intel page directly. Maybe you can find a driver: [www.intel.com]

  I think you should download the + 32 - bit floppy Configuration Utility for Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
  You will find the unique SATA driver .inf and dll files.

  Check again the European driver of Toshiba page. Choose your model of laptop, choose the XP and download the LAN and WLan driver!

  The drivers can be installed also in Device Manager.

  The PTA50E is a European model, PTA50A is an Australian model. But the two drivers are the same.
