Tecra A6 won't start

I have a Tecra A6 that won't boot to the top.
Last week I left it for about 2 hours, it went into hibernation, and since then I could not start.
When I press the Start button, what ON LED is green, then the HARD Drive LED flashes once and that's all that happens. The screen remains black, the DVD drive opens, nothing.
The strange thing is that the computer is turned on (the Green is lit), the fan starts once a while and the underside of the case becomes hot.

For me, it seems he has stuck in hibernation mode and can not enter a true boot procedure.

Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks in advance.

According to your description is solid as the laptop would begins and the CPU would work because the underside gets warm. BUT there is a problem with the display.

You can try removing the battery for an extended period and disconnect the adapter.
Then after this procedure and several waiting time you connect the AC adapter and try to start Notepad.

Please report if it works

When I try to turn on the laptop, the lights come on and the DVD player starts to turn... everything is normal. But then after about 3 seconds it stops before that it can reach the bootscreen - as I would remove the power cable.
The very strange thing is that sometimes we'll tell every 1 15 try the laptop starts as it should be and start my Linux live CD. Then I can work for hours, and bad don't get passes nothing... until I want to turn it back on. Then the game starts from the beginning.

    I tried already to:

-Remove the hard drive from default
    -remove the power cable
    -only remove the battery
-replace the RAM or be one of the two
    -to remove the two RAM
-remove the power cable and the battery during the night to reset the CMOS

  • Tecra A4 won't start on DVD or network to allow the factory restore

I have a Toshiba Tecra A4, I insert the recovery CD and try to boot it on the CD player and the computer simply ignores the CD player. I change the bios so it should start on the last drive, but she always starts here everything first. If I remove the hard drive it will boot on the CD player. I even removed the hard drive and remove the main partitition (leaving the recovery partition) and I can get the laptop to boot to the CD drive, but after the first reboot, it goes back to ignore the CD drive and try to boot to the hard drive only. I've never seen anything like this. Any ideas on how to fix it or work around it?

    Thank you.

    Hello

In your case I would recommend set the BIOS default settings and save the changes.
Then turn on the laptop, and then press F12.
Then a start menu should appear and you should be able to choose the STRANGE as a boot device.

Generally, if there is no hardware problem this procedure should work.

  • Tecra A4 won't start even in safe mode

Today I close my Tecra morning, put it in my bag to take to work, that it works but does not use it at all, and tonight when I tried to start it again, it does not start.

I get to the screen that says:

We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.

If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically closed down to protect your files and folders, select last good known Configuration to return to the most recent settings that worked.

If a previous startup attempt was interrupted due to a power failure or because the Power or Reset button has been activated, or if you are not sure what caused the problem, choose Start Windows normally.

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe with command prompt

Last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)

    Start Windows normally

Use top and down arrow keys to move the selection of your choice.

None of the above options, works they come back just the same screen and I have no other options.

I also tried to put my Toshiba Tecra A4 product Recovery DVD-ROM and when I first did it is scope loudly for a minute without doing anything, and when I tried the above again, it comes back to the same screen as before.

Most of my files is saved, but there are some that are not, and I don't want to lose them.

Can someone give me some ideas to solve this problem?

    Thank you
    David

    Hmmm. very strange

I think you should try to format the whole HARD drive with an original CD of Microsoft Windows XP.
Delete all partitions and reinstall the operating system.

If you want to save the files on the HARD drive, then I recommend to remove the portable computer HARD drive and plug it into the second computer via external USB HDD controller.

After that backup files put the laptop HARD drive, access to the BIOS, set the default BIOS settings and save the settings.

Then use the Xp CD to format drive HARD and new installation.

  • Tecra 2100 won't start

My laptop won't let me start and get on because it says I have a problem of 32\Driver\pci.sys of the system. I'm not amything to this topic because of my inability to start. Is there a way to fix this? Any help would be grateful.

    Hello

There the message that Pci.sys is missing or damaged? Did you use new hardware components? Have you done something that you don t mentioned?

You can start a license XP CD and start the console. There, you can reload the driver! Otherwise, use the XP restore tool!

  • Tecra M10 - does not start only beeps

My Tecra won't start. It sounds right. I checked the RAM and battery. I removed the keyboard, but without success.

    What is going on?

    Concerning

    Hello!

Normally beep code at startup means that it s something wrong with the hardware (hardware malfunction).

To identify what is the cause, you can search with Google. There are a few websites that shows what the beep code (depending on the BIOS you have).

It could be the RAM, CPU, graphics card or something on the motherboard.

But if your laptop is under warranty, you can contact an ASP. The repair should be free. ;)

It won't start, just beep like this:

-So, three short films and and etc.

I can't find out what BIOS and the significance of these beeps.

    Can someone help me?
    Thank you
    Duditz

As far as I know, it's an Insyde BIOS on the Tecra S1.
But I thought you wanted to contact the Toshiba service provider?
Believe me, the BIOS beep code can be read by a technician with a lot more experience as a common user.
Eventually, you'll be able to read but you don t know what the code means.
The meaning of the code differs from BIOS and laptop model
I don t see other than by contacting the guys services

The machine is new and it should work properly. In my opinion, you should contact your local dealer and tell him that you want to have a new unit. As far as I know that you have 14 days return altogether.

  • Tecra S1 does not start and hangs at the splash screen (boot)

    Tecra S1 model PT831E-107EQ-GR

Problems started a month ago. Randomly, he didn't not started. After some power or off attempts it finally started and worked properly. I bought a new hard drive (Toshiba 40 GB) because it happened more often. I got Acronis True Image and planned to clone a disk to the new disk. The problem is that a cell phone now won't start any more so I can't boot from a CD or hard drive. It stops at the logo 'In Touch... "with text" Press [F12] for boot device selection menu ' and does not react any key. I tried to boot with no CD, no disk hard - the same thing. I also connected internal HD using ATA to USB adapter - even. This means that it is not a disk problem but motherboard, or other components? Is it possible to get into the BIOS before boot selection screen?

    Kind regards
    Jacek

    Hello Jacek

Try to enter the BIOS to ESC settings initially upwards.
The question is strange and I do not think that anyone here can offer the exact diagnosis. The fact is, you can use multiple bootable devices but if there is something wrong with the motherboard HARD drive CD/DVD doesn't work. CD/DVD or HARD disk controller is maybe defective.

I have a G20-102. Today I opened my flash drive and files all showed them as shortcuts. Help, please

    Hey,.

To me, it looks like a serious hardware malfunction

You could try to load the default settings in the BIOS. Enter in the BIOS, and then press the F9 key to load defaults. Then save & exit the BIOS and try to start again.

The HARD drive is recognized correctly in the BIOS? If so I try a recovery disk Toshiba recovery installation and check if the problem is hardware or software partners.
