Tecra A7: effect of phantom trubrite screen

Hello
I have a new laptop TECRA A7-247, ATI X 1600 graphics, 15.4 trubrite "view. When you look at movies DVD, objects moving in a dark background to make a 'ghost' effect, like a trail of Comet.

The strange thing is that a previous journal (exactly the same model), I had to come back for another problem, did not show for this purpose and he had BIOS version 2.00.
This does have BIOS 2.10 (same version of the graphics driver) and seems to have a screen brighter, but with less contrast.

BIOS have anything to do with the display?
Anyone with this newest version of BIOS (on the Web site you will find only version 2.00) and the same problem?

GCG

Hmm. very strange.
Sounds like you have a portable computer with BIOS that is not available on the Toshiba page.
But it would be very interesting to know if this problem occurs with BIOS 2.0 on your laptop or if this hardware malfunction of s (display, Fl-inverter),
I've never downgraded the BIOS, and if you do you don't have possibilities to retrieve version 2.1, because right now the BIOS 2.1 is not available on the page.

    Gentlemen.
    I have two problems.

1st. If I use the S11-128 with the provided power supply and an external LCD display, a distracting flickering effect is visible. It disappears if I run the laptop off the battery or with an old Tecra M2 supply (2004, electrically equivalent). My faulty power or is it a common behavior?

These symptoms are typical for the land issue.
I much read about flicker on external monitors, while the laptop is connected to the power adapter.
In most cases, a 3Pin adaptor cable might solve this problem.

I recommend that you get in touch with an ASP local and order this cable.

  • Laptop Tecra - red tint on the extended screen

I would go over my Tecra laptop to an external monitor and worked fine until a couple of days where the monitor screen suddenly started showing red on the screen while the screen of my laptop has a normal color to this topic.

I tried different from 2 monitors and 2 different VGA cables, so it must be a problem with the settings of display or hardware in the laptop. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

It is not easy to give you a concrete answer to your question. In my opinion this should be verified by Toshiba service provider.

I don't know who don't Tecra you have and trying to output ports video there but if there are also available HDMI port to test with your TV.

  • Tecra 8100: vertical stripes on the screen

I just bought a second hand Tecra 8100, who has been stripped of all its programs, OS. So I installed Windows98SE on this - now I get a screen with vertical stripes, which perch in the middle of the screen of the laptop with Windows just about visible in the background.

I went to the display driver Toshiba and downloaded Web pages relevant windows 98se. Once on my laptop, the exe file does nothing; is neither their "graphics card" option in my device manager - everyone has ideas as to what is happening?

    Hello

Please connect external monitor to your laptop and check if the result is the same. If so, there is probably a problem with the graphics card. If this isn't the case, I presume your laptop LCD screen is defective.

  • Re: Tecra M5 - cannot use the native screen resolution of my external monito

Hi, I have a Tecra M5 and just bought a BenQ G2220HD monitor. However, I can't display the native resolution of 1920 x 1080. I guess it's a problem with my video card.

If so, can anyone please suggest what video card, I need to buy?

    Thank you

    Scott

    Hello!

I checked the manual of your laptop (it can be downloaded from the Toshiba site) and it seems that the resolution 1920 x 1080 is not taken in charge.
Here is the list of manual of the supported screen resolutions:
    640 x 480
    800 x 600
    1024 x 768
    1280 x 1024
    1600 x 1200
    1920 x 1440
    2048 x 1536

I think that should answer your question ;)

And as Akuma says the graphics card can t be exchanged because it s soldered onto the motherboard. In the area of the FAQ in the forum, I founded this interesting article:

    Hey Buddy,

I found and interesting article on the Web from Toshiba site:

Overall this beep code means that a hardware malfunction has been detected. An ASP in your country can tell you what the problem is.

  • Tecra S2: strange dots on the screen that appears without reason and randomly

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Tecra S2 for almost a year now.
I formatted 2 months ago and when I did it. I had strange spots on my screen, appearing without reason and at random. I have not the slightest idea where it came from and I tried to format my computer again.
I installed the latest driver chipset on the site of intel, and then I installed the latest driver on the toshiba site.

I noticed that the problem is back. so that solves nothing. What can I do about it?

PS, not only the points, but I can't play too.

    HI Jelle,

When you say that you have formatted your laptop, you completely re - install the operating system from the recovery discs? If you did then the display should work fine.

If you have installed the Microsoft disk operating system, you will need to download the correct drivers from Toshiba for your Tecra from Toshiba download page web site.

    Kind regards

  • Tecra A3 freezes at loadup windows screen

Hello, I was wondering if someone can help me I have a problem with my laptop that I turned it off as usual last night, but this morning when I turned on it boots like normal it gets to the windows loading screen then a blue screen appears, but I can not read because the laptop restarts as soon as it appears can someone help me please?

    Thank you.

My laptop is a Toshiba Tecra A3

To display the BSOD, you can disable automatic reboot.

    Press F8 before Windows starts.
    In the menu, select:
"Disable automatic reboot in case of system failure"

Bad memory is often the cause of BSOD, especially when the new memory is installed but not tested.
You can download Memtest www.memtest.org. Its a CD or a bootable diskette.

  • Tecra M5 freezes at the home screen at startup (post Safeguard Easy Install)

Since the installation of disc Safeguard Easy encryption, my M5 freezes to the initial Toshiba screen. Pressing Ctrl - Alt - Del was going on this and on backup password screen.

It seems that there is a patch of BIOS for the Satellite Pro series, but I don't see anything for the Tecra, and Tecra M5.

    All advice appreciated.

It's because of the bios Vista support for fastboot.
There is a new version of utimaco released that fixes this bug.

  • Tecra M2: vertical stripes on the screen!

I have a laptop Tecra M2, which (to this day) starts with a display of colorful vertical stripes that gradually change color and width over time - trippy!
The laptop is password protected, and I can always connect (although can't see what I'm doing).

So it seems to be a screen rather than a computer problem or a software problem. Any ideas how I can get rid of the scratches?
Or I am looking to buy a new screen to the laptop?
    See you soon.

    Hello

Have you tried to connect the external display of notebook o? Not?
Do it and check if scratches appear on the external monitor.
If the lines do not appear on the second monitor, the screen of the laptop or one piece is malfunctioning. But it must be a graphics card problem.

But if scratches appear on the second monitor there must be a card problem.
However, it seems that it s a hardware problem and you will need to ask a technician for assistance because I put t think you will be able to fix it yourself

  • Tecra S1 - vertical lines on the screen

    Hello people,

IM new to this forum so first all the Hi everybody ;-).

My girlfriend bought a Tecra S1 second hand and after a few vertical lines of the month displayed on the screen. When I asked around the power button pressure lines have disappeared. But after a few minutes, the lines are back. So I thought that it was probably a problem of video and e - bay, I bought a second hand motherboard. I installed it and now after a few months I get vertical lines again. (It also happens on an external monitor).
I opened the laptop and with only the motherboard in front of me I plugged it to a monitor outside, put a little pressure on 1 side of the motherboard and the lines where go! Would that be the case?

I know that on ebay and other sites where they offer second-hand computers laptops MANY people have the same problem.

Did someone had an idea? I hope that I can fix it!

Thanks for your time and sorry for my English.

    Greetz Mark

    Hey Mark,

I doubt that people often have this problem. I put t read often about this problem, as far as I know it s thread the first on this subject.

In any case, I think that it s not unusual. I mean you bought a motherboard of second hand on eBay, so who knows how old she had and often it was used in the book. Second hand spare parts that s another story in my opinion. You're more or less luck with these parts.

I would recommend so buy a new mainboard with a provider of services authorized. It seems that you can change it yourself and so you can save a lot of money. On the Toshiba site, you can find a list of ASP.

    Good luck! :)

  • Tecra 9000 - bad scratch on the screen

I have a Tecra 9000, which has a bad scratch on the screen.
Does anyone know if the mask LCD Toshiba (P000328760) meeting will fix the scratch and if it is difficult to adapt?

As far as I know if the stripe is displayed directly, this mask will help any. This mask is just sort of plastic placed around the screen cover.

  • Fade out effect when you change screens

    Hello world

I have a screen (the sheet object) with some objects (labels, imageButton, etc.) and I need to change its background of fadeing effect, and if it is possible do not change objects.

One of the ways I see to create a new page with the same elements, but I couldn't find how to change an effect that will use the system of switching screens.

    All advice?

You can use a docklayout for this. Place a container at the bottom with the desired backgroundcolor. Put from another container on top of that with the controls of your choice. After that, you can disappear or fade in the container with backgroundcolor as you want by changing the opacity. In your case, you must use an explicit animation (https://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/documentation/ui/animations/explicit_animations.html). Fade out background, when the signal that the background is dimmed, change the background color and fade in.
