Tecra R10 - 10W PCI configuration simple controller-Wireless manager

I have a Toshiba Tecra R10 - 10W. I installed win7 and in Device Manager, it cannot find the driver for "PCI configuration simple controller.

Also when I try to use the Wireless Manager Toshiba for 3 g it is said that the radio is off, but in reality the trigger and the WiFi works.

Perhaps these two errors are connected.

Thank you

Hello

I think you need the driver Intel AMT controller (Intel Active Management Technology).

As far as I know, you can download this driver Toshiba driver European page or the page of the Intel driver.
In this case, you will need to search for Intel Management Engine Interface driver

> Also when I try to use the Wireless Manager Toshiba for 3 g it is said that the radio is off, but in reality the trigger and the WiFi works.

WLan is not 3G use Fn + F8 to toggle the WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G.
I think you have to press this combination of button several times to get the right setting

Welcome them

  • Tecra R10 - 10W - crashes with the nVidia display driver

    Dear Sirs,

Two days ago, I bought my new Tecra R10 - 10W. I used the recovery disk to put Windows XP.

However, I get a blue screen randomly. I turned on the 'Check' tool and I got: error of e/s in wmiaci.sys system. Error 20th in B9B8752F. I figured that the nVidia driver and uninstalled it. The problem disappear. But when I try to install on your site the appropriate driver: display - 20081110130507.zip the system blocks blue with the same error.

    Please help me.

    Hello

    Which is really strange, buddy

Hmm, I think that before installing the display driver you must clean your system using CCleaner. This freeware tool removes the old driver files and cleans up the registry. Then, restart the installation of the laptop the latest driver on the official website of Toshiba.

Furthermore, you also update the BIOS? You can find it on the Toshiba site too. :)

    I wonder I missed something?

How to cut my hard drive into 2 parts? Should I re - install XP for it?

    Hello!

As Akuma writes it of not possible to create or modify partitions of HARD drive during the installation of recovery Toshiba.
The Toshiba Recovery disk contains an image of the factory settings, and after that you can change the size of the partition yourself.

I also use Partition Magic and it works really well. If you n t have this tool, you can Google for a freeware tool. ;)

  • Problem with module 3G Tecra R10 - 10W

    Hello

    I got a new Tecra R10 - 10W a month ago.
Until yesterday, the 3G module worked fine. This morning I got a blue screen on the end of Windows. After the computer restarts I heard the tone of conecting/disconecting some USB device several times. After the short survey, I found my 3G module enabling / dissabling every few seconds.
In the control panel/phone options and modem, I found two modems broadband TOSHIBA is on COM3/COM4, 'away', or 'Non-functional '.
I installed all the new software up to date, as it was shown on Toshiba TEMPRO, bur after that restart the computer got the same result.
Later, I had Windows termination screen again.

Please let me know what is the problem and how to solve?

    Best regards

    Hello

Something seems to be confused at the top on the system
Maybe it was a new update reported by Tempro. Who knows.
Always is it that there is an error in device (3G) in Device Manager

I think you should simply remove the 3G (high-speed modems) module from the Device Manager and reboot the laptop.
After the new reboot the operating system should recognize the deleted devices and should install it again
In most cases, it helps to solve these problems

But if you're not going to succeed, I recommend uninstalling the software from the 3G module, then you must clean the BONES and the registry with a free cleaning tool (i.e. CCLeaner).
Reboot several times to ensure that everything has been properly cleaned and finally try to reinstall this software again

    Mate good luck

  • How to change the HDD in Tecra R10 - 10W - any instructions?

I would like to install windows 7 on my laptop R10 - 10W, but for now only for test.
I would like to save my current installation of Windows XP on my HARD drive.

The simplest solution is to change HARD drive but this laptop has no available HARD disk. :-(

I tried to boot from the HARD drive connected via esata, but it is not functional. :-(

    Anyone have an idea?

    Thanks Karel

    > More simple solution is to change the HARD drive, but this laptop has no available HARD disk
What do you mean by inaccessible HARD drive?

If you want to install the Windows 7 only for the test then you don t have need to change the HARD disk or delete the Win XP from the HARD drive.

One solution might be to an installation of Win 7 on the second partition.
Create a partition on the HARD drive using a 3rd party like Partition Magic 8 tool. This great tool and allows you to create and manage the partition.

Another option would be the use of virtualization.
    You know the Virtual PC?
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Virtual-PC/

It helps you to install each operating system that you want on the HARD disk without having all partitions.

  • Tecra R10 - 10W / R10 - 111 3 G module problem

    Hello

Module 3G does not work after the update. NA? find answers online. Maybe you know what to do:

When I start the system from scratch, I just open the software Connect from Toshiba and the laptop connects after the network authentication. Usually after a certain time the yellow triangle with exclamation point appears and from that moment the system is connected limited/locally only. When I use vista tools to set up the problem I get the message that there could be a problem and I should connect via another network (lan, WiFi, BT, a? ¦) a? not really a solution to my problem!

To restart the internet I need to disable the Toshiba g 3507 module and stop the wireless software Connect, wait about 10 seconds and then re-enable the module and restart wireless connect software. In fact, there is no option in the turn off the TPM in the wireless not connect software. When you work with my laptop, I need to reconnect it several times per day and this very annoying. Toshiba could not help me? They told me to call the hotline!

I did all the updates that are provided by Toshiba, but it does not change.

    Any idea?

    See you soon
    Patrick

Maybe the SIM card is loose, have you tried reinstalling the SIM card?

Have you also updated the BIOS?

Did you install any other software that may be contradictory? (For example, a USB 3 G external or similar device)

Have you tried running the recovery to reinstall Windows.

If it still does not work, then it might be a hardware problem, in which case you will have to send the laptop to an ASP for repair. The list of ASP can be found on the Toshiba site (the site of www.toshiba-europe.com assuming you're in EU)

  • Tecra R10 - 10W - charge when the battery fully

    Hello

I have this laptop for a few weeks and his strange behavior. Lets say I use this connected to AC and the battery is charged to 100%. When I disconnect from AC from one day to the next and connect it again in the morning, he begins to charge the battery, even if it is charged to 100%. It charges the battery for 5-10 minutes.
Does anyone have a similar experience?

Other portable wait until the battery level reaches about 95% before loading. Is there a way I can influence this behavior? I guess that this short of frequent charges is not good for the duration of battery life.

    Thanks for your opinions.

As Akuma has suggested, it's a normal question.
Nothing unusual, because the battery loses power even the laptop is turned off.

  • Tecra R10 - 10W / R10 - 111 3 G module problem see also messages from May 25

    Thanks for your fast replay.

Yes, I have tried to reinstall the SIM card and updated everything what is possible from the homepage, Microsoft and Toshiba. No external devices (e.g. 3 G USB) installed and windows is retrieved by a full licensed Windows Vista Business (No. Toshiba OEM more) just a couple of days.

The only thing I discovered is that the 3G module Firmware is not updated. I didn't recognize the pop-up window when before updating, but yesterday, I got the day when/after massage:

"Generation data has not changed, probably failed update"

I tried to update with an activated, a connected and a module 3G disabled (in that order) but no change. I always get the same message once the module is restarted during the FW update. The module was not disconneced by stopping the system or any other stop option during update FW (as read in the instructions). The old FW was working fine until I did some updates to the Toshiba homepage (always ask Tempro). Any idea?

Control on while you try to update the firmware with the original image of Windows from Toshiba?

Where did you got the firmware?

I clicked on tab material, highlight of the modules of controller raid on the image of the speaker and then clicked on the link "View full RAID controller module properties" in the right pane. After that, the options are now available. Don't know what happened there - suspected a communication problem which has re-established itself.

    Hey guys,.

I have two versions of win7 on my laptop.

1 is the original version of Toshiba Win7 OEM, who has been on the laptop.
--> Here, it works without probs
    --> All updated etc.

    2. is it a full Version of Win7 bought and downloaded in a microsoft store.
--> Here it doesn't work anymore!
    --> All updated etc.

Earlier Versions of the Wireless Manager has worked in two partitions with Win Vista and for some time, I remember that he has worked with both versions of Win7.

What is the problem with that? Toshiba has to provide updates and drivers that work with any version of Win7 and not only with the OEM Toshiba.

    Any suggestions?

    > What is it with this? Toshiba has to provide updates and drivers that work with any version of Win7 and not only with the OEM Toshiba.

Do you think that it is a problem of the tool?
This seems to work on Toshiba pre-installed OS, so it cannot be a question of tool!

Maybe a part of the software is missing on the MS Win 7 own

  • Tecra R10-120 - HHD Protection utility installs in Portuguese

    Hi all

I'm new here so I ask you please help the statement a little bug in "HDD protection Utility" when installing on Windows 7 RC1700 version.
I downloaded the file "hddprot-20081124153035. ZIP"from Vista 32 drivers and utilities for Tecra R10-120, and there the 2.0.2.5 version from 24/11/08.

My Windows 7 (32bits) is configured as:
    To install language: English
Time and currency formats: Portuguese (Portugal)
    Keyboard or input method: Portugal

During the installation procedure installs "HDD protection Utility" in Portuguese.
I guess the code keyboard or time controls parameters of format rather than the language of the system.

This is a minor bug, so I think it will be simple for the Toshiba development team to resolve.
The only forward to point is, how to let them know.

Thanks for any help that you could provide,
