Telnet/ssh/http remote access LWAP CLI

All the:

Is it possible to remotely connect to the wired interface to a LWAP?

Here is why I ask:

Passing 5508 controller (7.4.110.0) installation a colo to the subnet to another and changing controller in the process.

Can I use the cmd IOS: time "reload in X" or "recharge at X time" on the LWAPs?

Is there a better way to do what I didn't think?

About 120 LWAPs involved in a fairly large geographical area - time of 3 hours by car.

THX,

Phil

I guess the question of reading the post, is what you're doing? We assume you will the WLC to another subnet and the IP address will change. If this is the case, it depends on how comfortable you are with the command-line if you don't not WCS/NCS or the first to get templates.

In general, I would like to change the AP on AP to point primary school at the new address IP WLC, even if she is not yet up and enter the secondary WLC as one that is already in place. I did it with more than 200 AP if you would not do this, then the easiest is just to use DNS and resolve cisco-capwap-controller. the new IP address of the WLC. You can use option 43, but you must assign this right. Once your APs is moved, then I usually remove the DNS and option 43 if I put those.

  • PIX telnet/ssh access to the VPN Lan2Lan

Scenario of several Lan - Lan IPSEC VPN between PIX F/Ws.

I need to remotely access / these PIX via Telnet/SSH & would prefer to do it through the VPN tunnel.

NB, I tried telnet/ssh configuration for both inside/outside of my source but can't hit the PIX.

Because the Tunnel is actually inside-inside I'm trying to connect to the inside interface of the pIX.

You can do it now in 6.3 code with the command "access management". See http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_sw/v_63/cmdref/mr.htm#1137951 for more details.

  • Change of SG 200-18 - management - VLAN / telnet/ssh-access?

    Hello

We have a switch SG200-18 that should be used as a switch of working group in our environment (SW

Version 1.1.1.8). In collaboration with CLI on big and mid range Cisco gear during the past two decades, I have a hard time to understand what follows on the SG200:

    (o) I want to change the management VLAN by default '1' to the management - VLAN used in our environment. Of course, I created this vlan in SG200-config, however when it comes to assign the management IP and VLAN management interface in the advancement of the corresponding film under "Interface IPv4-> management VLAN" selectable is the default "1". see screenshots (closed)

So, how to define a management VLAN 1 different?

    (o) how to enable telnet/ssh-access the SG200-18 - I'd be much more comfortable with a CLI environment ;-)

Thank you very much in advance for your help,.

    -ewald

    Hello Ewald,

Sx200 series switch does not currently offer a CLI option. Have this feature if the Sx300 and 500 series.

What about chaning the vlan management, you have two options.

    (1) changes the vlan by default under management VLAN > Default vlan settings. This will change all the ports and the management vlan.

    (2) adds a port as a port untagged in the new VLAN. Once this is done, make sure that something is connected to this port, like a computer. Now you should be able to change the vlan management. (This is done to prevent locking)

What you need to configure is to imitate the configuration on the tunnel-group and group strategy and to configure access to specific network you need.

Currently, you have configured the following:

    vpn-vidrul group policy internal
    vpn-vidrul group policy attributes
    Protocol-tunnel-VPN IPSec
    Split-tunnel-policy tunnelspecified
    Split-tunnel-network-list value vpn-vidrul_splitTunnelAcl
    value by default-field vidrul - ao.com

    type tunnel-group vidrul-vpn remote access
    vpn-vidrul general-attributes tunnel-group
    address clientvpngroup pool
    Group Policy - by default-vpn-vidrul
    IPSec-vpn-vidrul tunnel group attributes
    pre-shared-key *.

What you need is to create new group policy and the new tunnel-group and configure the tunnel split ACL to allow access to specific access required.

The user must then connect with the new group name and the new pre-shared key (password).

    Hope that helps.

-The router receives this traffic between VLAN100 unit?

-The router is encrypt this traffic, after receiving the ICMP packet?

#show crypto ipsec router its can help you with this question. Look for the program/decaps counters.

-The same, but the other way around (from VPN client to device behind VLAN100) try to locate the problem.

The following document explains more this crypto commands and debugs if necessary.

  • Remote access VPN users unable to see local lan or internet

We implement an ASA5510. Now our users can connect to the vpn but cannot access the internal Lan or internet.

Here is the config. Any help or idea would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Hello

A couple of things set this:

    -crypto isakmp nat-traversal 20

    -management-access inside

Can you run a packet tracer and attach it here, to see what are the phases that crosses the package.

Any help or pointers greatly appreciated, I have do this config after a long interval on Cisco of the last time I was working it was all PIX so just need to expert eyes to let me know if I'm missing something.

And yes I don't have a domestic network host to test against, all I have is a switch that cannot route and bridge default ip helps too...

    Hello

The first thing you should do to avoid problems is to change the pool VPN to something else than the current LAN they are not really directly connected in the same network segment.

You can try the following changes

    attributes global-tunnel-group RAVPN

    No address RAVPN pool

no mask RAVPN 192.168.200.1 - 192.168.200.254 255.255.255.0 ip local pool

    local pool RAVPN 192.168.201.1 - 192.168.201.254 255.255.255.0 IP mask

    attributes global-tunnel-group RAVPN

    address RAVPN pool

no nat (it is, inside) static source NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.200.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.168.200.0_24 static destination NETWORK_OBJ_192.9.200.0_24 NETWORK_OBJ_192.9.200.0_24

In the above you first delete the VPN "tunnel-group" Pool and then delete and re-create the VPN pool with another network and then insert the same "tunnel-group". NEX will remove the current configuration of the NAT.

the object of the LAN network

    192.168.200.0 subnet 255.255.255.0

    network of the VPN-POOL object

    192.168.201.0 subnet 255.255.255.0

NAT (inside, outside) 1 static source LAN LAN to static destination VPN-VPN-POOL

NAT configurations above adds the correct NAT0 configuration for the VPN Pool has changed. It also inserts the NAT rule to the Summit before the dynamic PAT rule you currently have. He is also one of the problems with the configurations that it replaces your current NAT configurations.

You have your dynamic PAT rule at the top of your NAT rules currently that is not a good idea. If you want to change to something else will not replace other NAT configurations in the future, you can make the following change.

No source (indoor, outdoor) nat Dynamics one interface

NAT source auto after (indoor, outdoor) dynamic one interface

NOTICE! PAT dynamic configuration change above temporarily interrupt all connections for users on the local network as you reconfigure the dynamic State PAT. So if you make this change, make sure you that its ok to still cause little reduced in the current internal users connections

    Hope this helps

Let me know if it works for you

  • Problem with ASA 5505 VPN remote access

After about 1 year to have the VPN Client from Cisco connection to an ASA 5505 with no problems, all of a sudden one day it stops working. The customer is able to get a connection to the ASA and browse the local network for only about 30 seconds after the connection. After that, no access is available to the network behind the ASA. I have tried everything I can think of to try to solve the problem, but at this point, I'm just banging my head against a wall. Anyone know what could cause this?

Here is the cfg running of the ASA

  • Allow remote access to the VPN Cisco ASDM

    Hello

I am trying to access asdm Setup for the user remote vpn. Our ASA running version 9.1 (1). ASDM is running version 7.1 (1) 52

I have apart from the interface within the interface enabled for vpn tunnel and I use 3rd interface (asdm_inf) dedicated to this purpose.

In the asdm, I enabled the management to asdm_inf interface. In the section ASDM, HTTPS, Telnet, SSH, I also add ASDM/HTTPS(port 444) for asdm_inf, ip_address 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0.

However, when I connect to the vpn client and try https://asdm_inf:444, the connection is broken with timeout.

Where could I go wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

Well, split tunnel is incorrect, you are tunneling to 172.16.66.0/24, while your BFD which you want to manage the ASDM to is 192.168.244.0/24, so the ACL split tunnel should also 192.168.244.0/24 network.

  • ASA 5505 - remote access VPN to access various internal networks

    Hi all

A customer has an ASA 5505 with a remote access vpn. They are moving their internal network to a new regime and that you would be the users who come on the vpn to access the existing and new networks. Currently can only access the existing. When users connect to access remote vpn, the asa gave them the address 192.168.199.x. The current internal network is 200.190.1.x and that they would reach their new network of 10.120.110.x.

  • VPN remote access - no network connectivity internal!

    Hi Experts,

I understand that it is a very common problem when considering the implementations of IPSec VPN for remote access using Cisco VPN Client. But for the last six months, I have tried to configure remote VPN access to as many sites customer and gets stuck to the top with the same question!

-The remote VPN Client connects, authenticates successfully to the local user database (to make things easier, I used the local user authentication), the tunnel is set up (I could see the exit of the isakmp #show her as a AM_ACTIVE ). So I think that the parameters of encryption and authentication for Phase 1 /Phase 2 should work because the tunnel is having successfully established

-Now comes the question, no connectivity to the internal network. I tried all the possible solutions, that I could find online.

    1. the most common problem is NAT - Traversal not active

-Compatible NAT - T with the time default keepalive of 20

    2. None of the configurations NAT to exempt remote VPN traffic

-A ensured that Nat configurations not present in configuration and internal network 192.168.1.X VPN traffic networks VPN 192.168.5.X /192.168.10.X being exempted NAT

    3-Split tunnel configurations

-Reconfigured Split tunnel access list configuration Standard access list expanded (although not required as a Standard access list is more than enouugh, if I'm not mistaken) to allow traffic selected from 192.168.1.X for 192.168.5.X/192.168.10.X that will create routes on Client that allows users to simultaneously access VPN resources and access Internet VPN client. The Tunnel from Split network group was added again to the group policy.

4 enabled Perfect Forward Secrecy (PFS) /Disabled

. It may be an extra charge, it has been disabled / enabled

    5. the road opposite Injection

-Ensured that a temporary reverse route has been injected to the routing table by allowing the reverse Route Injection to insert automatically the temporary static routes to the remote tunnel using the command set reverse road networks

A few more interesting things were noted:

Encrypted and Bypassed packages found when a continuous ping started the ASA inside the interface.

No decryption happens of the VPN Client, which means that there is no answer back from the network traffic statistics.

Decryption and packages are found be increasing when I try to ping of the IP address to the customer (192.168.0.10) has published the SAA. But on the SAA, I'm not back any response and showing as? . So that would mean that there is communication of ASA to the customer via the VPN tunnel while no communication is happening from the internal network to the customer

Could you please help me identify where I'm going wrong. Its been a long time I have trying to figure out but nothing seems to work! ;-(

    Help, please!

    (1) pls replace the tunnel ACL ACL standard split as follows:

    no extended ST1 192.168.1.0 ip access list allow 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0

    access-list allowed ST1 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0

    (2) add icmp inspection:

    Policy-map global_policy

    class inspection_default

    inspect the icmp

    (3) Finally, I add the following so that you can test the ASA inside the interface:

    management-access inside

  • authentication of remote access, vpn and ldap

I have a test environment with 2 hours fireval 5505: the first firewall is remote access VPN server and the Interior of this firewall is a network of domain with a domain controller, DNS server and a workstation. DHCP is disabled and the PC have a static address.outside of the VPN server is attached outside the other ASA 5505 firewall. on the inside of the firewall, there is a workstation.the workstation would be to connect via vpn for remote access on the domain network. I have configured the VPN server for remote access through a wizard and his

    configuration is the following
