temperatures Y50-70

Hello everyone, I got my lenovo y50-70 for a few days and I used it a lot lately. After a while I noticed that my temperature rose significantly. What worries me the most, it is my slow time symmetric mode (energy Manager) are around 50-60 used to be around 40-46 ~ like 2 days and I literally have nothing in the background. When I go to view performance max my time do not increase again! Even with the use of the UC - weird.

Three screenshots in three different modes.

When I try to play a game that is not this demanding but I play on ultra my time peak at 70 c ~ no more.

Thanks for help.

Solved... Believe it or not, but I actually had a spyware virus on my laptop. It should scan my pc in the background and that's why my CPU had time high - everywthing works fine now.

Is this normal temp? and if not what is the normal temperature of this computer laptop while in game?

    Thank you

In short - I do not recommend playing at this high temperature.

Long answer - it will not send Sparks, but the components will lose effectiveness and can be damaged over a period of time. How long? Maybe 6 months, 1 year, 2 years - it all depends on how much you play.

Heat is an enemy of computers. The cooler you can run them, the better.

My current time, because all settings/changes, do not exceed 80 all in game. GPU - max 78, CPU - max 81

  • Y50-70 temperatures all in game?

My temp program reads about 70 - 80 c all in game, and I mean heavy games. Like GTA 5, ETC. Is this normal?

    Hi Ferndinanstrat,

    Welcome to the Forums

According to the request, we understand that you are facing problem in high temperature in your laptop Lenovo Y50 - 70.

Yes it is normal, that it also depends on the graphics card and the graphics in the game. As the highest the graphics in the game using the graphic card will be high and heating system.

You can also update the graphics driver and check the issue.

  • Temperatures of SSHD Y50-70 - question

I was wondering what are the standard temperatures, as mine seems quite high.

At this moment I have 42 while doing almost nothing, just a moment ago, it rises to 47, and when I want to download/install something it can boost up to 52 - 55 c.

I'm afraid that it would be wrong.

  • For lenovo y50 cooling pad

Hi, can someone suggest me a good block of cooling for lenovo y50

Y50 fans look like they are in the same way they are in most laptops. They suck in air from the bottom and exhaust is placed on the sides or the back. In most cases on the rise, the desktop is sufficient to lower the temperatures of a few degrees. I myself did not use the fan in my block of cooling for centuries. It is more comfortable to use when he raised and tilted, and also the air flow is improved. And then I game not on my laptop for games more. When I got to the big finish cpu in my laptop (that the footer) and overclocked my GPU and memory, I removed the bottom cover of my Y580 and the fan on. The temperatures where there is a little lower, but I made it mainly to keep my HDD cooler because it gets really hot in this laptop under load.

  • cooling plant Y50

So I just bought a coolermaster notepal xl for my y50, and while I'm playing with this cooling pad to the max it barely lowers the temperature. Anyone know why it does not work and what I need to buy a carpet that pushes or pulls the air? It pushes air into the vents.

    Thanks in advance!

If you lookunderneath the laptop don't you see a white filter inside the air openings? In my view, which can be reduce the air flow in the laptop.

  • MacBook Pro lights at room temperature.

    Hello

I had this problem with my late 2008 unibody Macbook Pro since last year that he only turns on when I use a blow dryer and blow directly to the logic board to increase its temperature to above 70 ° c/160 degrees Fahrenheit.

I only found on this quick fix to turn it on a few days ago, before I had kept on for several months and as long as it's on it's a machine works well without any problems no matter what was the temperature of House of logic. I brought in a genius bar earlier for a verification of the material but they could not identify any problems.

Any idea of what this could be the cause?

    Thank you.

Just speculating, but maybe a cold or damaged joint to weld. When you heat, parts develop a connection. Cold, parts of contract, leaving a void in the weld joint.

  • Room temperature for SSD - iMac 2011

I had a company local 'geek' install a 1 TB Samsung EVO 850 SSD in my iMac 2011 after the factory 1 TB WD HDD went belly upwards. The iMac works fine after installation, but the fan runs continuously. I think (and check with technician) they have not connect the thermal sensor that I understand other forums, there is a spare cable. anyway. I installed Mac Fan Control, which was extremely easy and place the SSD fan to operate "sensor value based on '-'Ambient '. the default value for the SSD shows the temperature the fan will begin to increase is 75 degrees F, with a temperature Max to 95 degrees f. once set the fan has appeased and now always so gently purr, but I wonder if the settings are correct.

The Question: what would be the temperature for a SDS now in an iMac 2011? are the default settings listed above in the correct range? where can I find this info. I searched on the web...

    Thanks in advance.

The vendor who installed the SSD correct wiring, the fan control installation should work (although I don't recommend generally), but the seller must install things correctly. after 2009 iMacs had HD with temporary sensors integrated in the HD, your SSD does not only so you are correct in your statement that he needs the heat sensor wire. OWC provides one with their kits.

BTW, if you have taken your computer to Best Buy, which was your first mistake. I would not let any tech BBY within 5 miles of my equipment.

  • iMac at VERY high temperature

Is it a good idea for a temperature GPU iMac to go above 80 degrees and sometimes reach 90?

    If this Celsius, then no..

    These times are not good.

    Your iMac is overheating.

Maybe all the different events are hooked upward with the dust and fluff?

Maybe the inside of your iMac and its internal fans are inlaid upward with the dust, dirt and lint, too.

If it's that get hot, it's time to look at have your iMac diagnosed and repaired.

Your iMac may be required for some services to an Apple Retail Store or Apple authorized service center.

I saw just that it's a fairly new iMac.

How long have you had this?

Do you have AppleCare on this iMac?

Out of curiosity, when the time of your iMac get this high, what the room temperature where your iMac?

You wonder if it's a hot model by itself or only mine is. I have temperatures of 60 light web browsing mode and full 100 c while watching youtube at 1080@60 or shake, even in the middle. Parallels heat my macbook up to 80 C with none of the applications running. I don't remember my core2duo 11 "this hot.
There is no dust in the it at all, but did not check the thermal grease, due to lack of right screwdriver and unwillingness to disassemble the thing.

Browser is Chrome. OS X is 10.8.5. Don't have reset the smc.
It is the same in Windows 7 and Chrome.

Did some research by writing this post and found that 11 "2010 a 10 watt tdp CPU and it has 17 watt tdp CPU. But still I would like to see some comments on the time.

Has it stopped due to the heat yet?

  • The fan speed does not match cpu temperature

    Hi all

following my last post, I have a new question. I have a 13 rMBP inches early 2015 2.7 ghz dual core i5.

by running ' Yes > / dev/null & Yes >/dev/null "(for about 4-5 minutes), I managed to get 100% load on both hearts, beginning of time editing.

at one point, fans of kick (they were before, 0 RPM, which is normal on the new mbp) and start climbing in RPM also.

then, cpu temp reached 97 - 98C and the speed of the fans stops about 3250 RPM rise. Temp remains steady at 97 - 98C as if 98C is ok and should not be cooled more far.

IMHO I'm not sure it's a hardware problem because obviously the temp reading is ok, fans begin to climb in rpm, the only issue is - why they stop at 3250 RPM when the CPU is 98C? (I know about fans of older models, kick to 100% after 90 c, but I wonder if this is the case in the new models or the fault is in my MBP)

also, it of not like the fans are completely disabled or works 100% all the time, looks like a problem of software for me.

If someone has the same model of rMBP I would appreciate running the ' Yes > / dev/null & Yes >/dev/null ' and sharing the results.

  • research to temperature sensor

    Hello

I can't use the Mac mini anymore because the fan is at full speed and kernel_task on > 300%.

I have already run a hardware test on my Mac Mini 2012 one it gave me error 4SNS/1/C0000008: TAOP - 124.

I already know that the error is the ambient temperature sensor, but I have not any suspicion where it is. Similar threads on the forums are always on MacBooks.

You know weather this sensor on the logic board or is it outside? What sensors does the Mac mini 2012 has, is there a list?

    Thanks in advance

    There is heatmap.js site: http://www.patrick-wied.at/static/heatmapjs/example-heatmap-leaflet.html
There example of layer of flyer.
I could see after upgrading firefox to version 31 temperature map in the browser for this example. But with a previous version of firefox I could see it.

My web app users leaflet.js and heatmap.js plugin. It users the same code as on the example page.
After update firefox version saying "your script take too long to run. Continue? "again and again and not contains a temperature card.

I use the folder plugin - 0.7.2.js and heatmap - 1.0.js for brochure.

    Seems to work here.
