Toshiba TEMRPO alert: disk space to level critical

I have a lot of space on my Satellite U400:

Vista (c :)) 70.7 GB free on 177 Go
Data (e :)) free off GB 113 108 GB

However the Toshiba TEMPRO alerts with space drive at the level critical guard appearing all the time!

"Toshiba TEMPRO issued an alert that your stored data has now reached 90% or more of its capacity."
"Total disk space: go 298,02 and free disk space: 19.69 GB.

TEMPRO version improved to 2.0.

I do not understand what is wrong! Please advice.

Hello

There is a partition of 3rd extra that is not visible!
The 3rd partition is automatically created y Vista and it contains the Vista backup files that can be used as a last resort!
If something goes wrong with the operating system, and then Vista can be restored and repaired using the files on that partition.

I think that means Tempro this partition.

    Hello

1st post please be nice and not too techie!
I just bought a new Satellite L750 computer laptop and loaded onto my iTunes file and some photos. The specification on the laptop says hard drive 500 GB, but I'm getting meesages warning saying
    Disk space to level critical

Toshiba TEMPRO issued an alert that your stored data has now reached 90% or more of its capacity.
The data says that Windows (c) disc 37.1 GB free of 232 GB which is 90% I guess. But the data (D) 218 GB free of 233 GB

What happens when I use all the space on drive C? It flows more on D drive?

What I have to do something, if so what? Simple tech not talk please!

    Thank you

    Dennis

Have you tried to spend 20 or more GB of data on the D partition to see if the message will be gone?

Anyway, in my opinion there is no reason to panic. TEMPRO is nice tool but sometimes can be confusing too.
Maybe it sounds stupid now, but you can remove the system or simply stop in autostart so it does not start with windows more.

  • Satellite Pro L40 - disk space to level critical

HI, for the first time the user and technically not much minded when it comes to computer systems...

I am constantly getting an alert Toshiba Tempro message indicating "data stored on one of your hard disk partitions now reaches 90% or more of its capacity" and a 74,52 GB total disk space, I don't have that 7,44 GB of free disk space - all I really on my system are Photos and ITunes - can they really occupy all this space? - And what I can do to get more disk space? -Any help will be appreciated.

    > Everything I really on my system are Photos and ITunes - can they really handle all that space?
No one can answer your question on this virtual path. How should we know how much data is stored on your partitions?
How to get more disk space?
Remove data that you don't need, or move it to another partition.
You can also move all your data to an external device like external HARD disk.

I recently bought by Satellite P750-114 and now I get a message from toshiba Tempro my partition is cricial level as it reached 90% or more.

Could someone help me with this please? Why did I get this? something wrong?

To be honest I n don't know what the problem with Tempro, but this tool is somewhat strange. Nothing is false, then there is no reason to panic.

Believe me best you can do is to remove it. In General, it is a nice and useful tool, but you don't need to all n.

Remove it from the system and be happy.

  • The TMS low disk space warning level

Anyone know what the threshold is TMS warn of low disk space?  I can't find it in the documentation.

Mine me gives this warning now and I wonder how much space I must give before being happy, probably by increasing the size of the virtual disk, so it would be good to know my target, since this kind of thing requires certain formalities and I would prefer not to do twice.

    Thank you.

Depending on the size of the deployment, it is recommended for the hard drive to be around 60-80 GB by the installation Guide for TMS.  You can move your SQL database on the server, if it is hosted on the same server as MSDS, as well as the removal of old server logs.  Here are a few suggestions on how you can free disk space on the server TMS.

  • TEMPRO v2 - changing the threshold of disk space alert

    Hello

I downloaded and installed Tempro v2 on a Satellite A200. It works well.

However, tempro was a problem that was present in version 1.x.

Disk space alert low value trigger, much, much too early to the disk space of 25% on any partition. On a modern drive, it is around 15 GB. It's average, far too early to say a problem. I swiched disable this alert - I don't want to do. There seems to be no way (that I can find) to activate this alert to raise to a more reasonable value - 10% left of disk space or a given amount of space left - say 2 GB.

Y at - it a fix for this or have I missed how to set this value, because I don't want to run without knowing that I'm under low disk space? This alert to 25% is irritating.

    Thank you

    Clive

    Hello

I don t think you can change this value or parameters
TEMPRO sends notifications about the status of the entire HARD disk and it is why you received this message.

I have this tool on my laptop too but didn t find settings that would disable the notification on simple partitions on the HARD drive

  • After Service Pack 2 low disk space alert

    • After installation with windows service pack 2 problems.
    • Windows Update service pack 2 Setup.

    * Title *.
After installing service pack 2 the drive that contains the windows began to have insufficient disk space, next before installing it he had about 8 GB of free space, what is the problem?

    Hi Ayman Jean-Claude,

    1. you are running Windows vista on the computer?

    2. how much free disk space you have after install vista sp2?

There is a possiblity that the Windows vista sp2 installation files are always available on the computer that occupies disk space.

Free space on the disk can be stored by running the disk cleanup on the pilot tool and check.

    1. open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button, all programs, Accessories, clicking System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup.

    2. in the Disk Cleanup Options dialog box, choose whether you want to clean your own files only or all files on the computer. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. If the Disk Cleanup: drive selection dialog box appears, select the hard disk you want to clean, and then click OK.

    4. click the Disk Cleanup tab and select the check boxes for files that you want to remove.

    5. When you have finished select the files that you want to remove, click OK, and then click delete files to confirm the operation. Disk Cleanup on delete all unnecessary files from your computer.

  • How can I free up disk space? I continue to have alerted it is low

    The original title: disk space

I get a message that my disk space is insufficient, but when I go in files deleat it says there are no files, how free of disk space?

    > but when I go into the files deleat it says there is no files...

Looks like you're tailking on drive D:, your recovery disk. Yes?

(If you went ot C: drive tries to delete files, you wiould NOT have received message "here ya no files".)

Your recovery partition D is implemented by the manufacturer of your computer in the event of serious problems in your system.
You use it to restore your system.

You are NOT supposed to touch it... not for nothing is add or remove anything from him.

Have you been using the D drive and for scheduled backups of file, or use it to store other programs and files?
If this is the case, you call the manufacturer of the computer, tell them the situation...

    1. ask for a set of recovery DVD (if you have not done a game initially). It is used to re - install Vista from it in case of system crash.
    2. ask how to remove backup files or elements that are NOT supposed to be there.
They created the recovery partition, they know how to take care of it.
Let them teach how you to.

  • Output to email disk space

I hope it's an easy one, just something miss me.  I would run a script as a scheduled task, the script asks a group of disk space servers and for each server whose disk space is below a certain level, it would send an e-mail separated on this server.  For example, if I have 5 servers having a disc with less than 20% free, I want to get 5 separate emails

That's the Basic script I've worked with, so far, it works very well, but what happens if ANY server has a drive of less than 20% it sends only 1 email with the $name variable in the subject being the last server disk space is less than 20%

  • Satellite L650/OED - out of disk space

    Hello

I just bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite L650/OED, and stated in the specifications, storage is 640 GB, but the only hard drive in my computer after I first initalized, it is only 583GB, what's missing?

And I have read the user menu and found that there is a recovery partition which has been hidden, so how can I find this partition?

It seems that the default setting for this laptop is that there is only one disk hard C, but no other disk dirve D or E. So, how can I protect my files once I need to reformat the C?

    Thank you

    Hi TYQ,.

I think the problem is that you always less disk space that you can find on the specifications on the HARD drive. On Wikipedia, there is an interesting article on the measures of capacity:
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_disk_drive#capacity

As you can see, everything is ok with your disk ;)

With regard to the recovery partition: you should see when you go into Windows disk management. But if you remove it, you aren't able to use HARD drive recovery.

  • Won't let me download anything not "enough disk space" when I have over 200 GB of available

All of a sudden my late 2011 macbook pro does not allow me to download anything on the internet. It is said there is not enough free disk space to however I have over 200 GB of free. When I look at the internal drive and the drive macbook hard disk, it indicates that the hard disk is completely full when I run disk utility, but the only thing that I should have on my Mac hard drive that has plenty of space. Nothing seems to work. I tried to repair/correction of disk utility and it does not say there is a problem, but obviously something is not seriously. Help, please!

    Hello

    ·         The question is limited only with Real Player?

    Method 1:

You can try running Disk Cleanup in Windows XP, which will safely remove unused files from the computer and check if that tool:

Description of the tool in Windows XP disk cleanup

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310312

    Method 2:

You can try to install the latest codec pack from the Web site by using one of your favorite search engines and check if it helps:

    Hello.

We can start from this solution.

To start your computer using the last good known Configuration, follow these steps:

    1. Start your computer.
    2. When you see the message "Please select the operating system to start", press the F8 key.
    3. When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, use the ARROW keys to select last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)and press ENTER.
    4. If you use other operating systems on your computer, use the arrow keys to select Microsoft Windows XP, and then press ENTER.

If this does not help, we think of something else.

  • Remove MSXML programs safely to free disk space.

I have a Sony VIAO with windows XP. This is an old desktop computer and not my computer alone.  I try to free up disk space on my C drive and did the basics.  I'm looking to remove programs but I get a message that I don't have enough space to remove programs.  My question is under Add or remove programs, I show 6... Programs MSXML.  listed in this order... MSXML 4.0 (KB25672), MSXML 4.0 (KB927978, MSXML 4.0 (KB936181), MSXML 4.0 (KB954430), MSXML 4.0, (KB973688) MSXML 6.0 PARSER (KB933579).)  One of these can be removed?  Any suggestions on how to free up space in order to remove programs and not get the error message... "not enough disk space to remove programs.  I have an external drive that has LOTS of space.  Thanks for your time.

I recommend that you do NOT remove any entry in Add / Remove programs that starts with k.  In fact, you should uncheck the "Show updates" box in Add or remove when you go there looking for things to uninstall to create more disk space.

I have not watched all the items you list, but some (and I expect everything else) are critical security updates.

There are a number of things you can do to - temporarily - free disk space.  The only real solution, however, is to get a bigger internal hard drive.   You can move the data to your external drive, but if it's the data that you use frequently, slower access times may annoy you.  Therefore, I do not recommend that you move your My Documents folder in its entirety on the external drive, but you can certainly do this by following the related instructions.

    • You can run Disk Cleanup (start > run > cleanmgr > OK)
    • You can reduce the size allocated for the restoration of the system to about 1 GB (right click on desktop > properties > system restore > settings)
    • You can disable hibernation (if you don't use it) (right click on an empty spot on the desktop > properties > screen saver > power > Hibernate)
    • You can disable the indexing of the drive, which will also speed up your computer a bit (http://lifehacker.com/031440/turn-off-indexing-and-speed-up-windows-xp)
    • You can reduce the size of your Internet browser cache (depending on the browser that you use)

But none of these answers you will earn really large amounts of space for very long.  The term solution time is a bigger hard drive.

In the meantime, download and run JDiskReport, that will show you graphically what files take up more space and seem to so indicate what files you must move it to your external drive.  If you want to move an application, you will need to uninstall and then reinstall it specifying your external drive as the installation location.  You can not simply move the files.

    Hello

Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way? Keep in mind
This associated heat does not always mean too much heat as it is often a part or a component
who is too sensitive to normal levels even heat.

Remove ALL power and reinstall all the memory cards and cables (both ends where possible).
in fact, remove and replace - don't do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and clean the
