Text file data source.

I have a requirement to retrieve data from a text file.
I know it is possible to use a text file as a data source, but there are some limitations on the number of records? or a performance problem?
We are talking of at least 2 million records.

What shud not be a problem, but as a designer for this large number of documents... Try filling a Table Oracle sourcing this txt file and then use this table as a source. You will have several options then to improve the performance of BI.

    I need some advice.

    First of all, in BinaryCode.txt data are thus:

    Replace BinaryCode0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
    Replace 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 BinaryCode0
    Replace 1 1 1 0 1 1 1 1 1 BinaryCode1
    Replace BinaryCode1 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

    the first line of the text file is the header. So I need to check if the names in the second column (BinaryCode0 or BinaryCode1) appear in the Timed_Sets.txt file.

    Timed_Sets.txt data as such:

    BinaryCode0, 6, 40...
    BinaryCode0, 7: 40...
    BCName1, 0, 20...

    BCName1, 1, 20...

    For example, as BinaryCode0 is a match that I pulled out the line whole Timed_Set.txt in another table.

    I worked on a program, but I do not get the expected results.

    If I understand what the output should be so what you essentially have to do is walk through the column for each unique value and BinaryCode.txt, pull the corresponding lines of Timed_Sets.txt. There are a variety of ways to do this, depending on the amount of data you have and whether or not you can use any kind of prior knowledge as to the actual content of the file (for example names of key search). It's a joint way. Modify if needed.

    Use us the DSN file in our application LabVIEW but have found that, when the application is distributed to Windows XP configured for foreign lanugages (e.g. French), the C:\Program Files\Common Files is localized to something else (for example C:\Program Files\Fichiers common).

    How can you change Setup to handle these problems? Or how we can programmatically determine the correct path of common files (i.e. localized) what, so we can copy the DSN files in the folder when the application first runs?

    You can also read a large number of paths by using the register screw

    The paths are in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders or in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder.

    I'm reading packets ethernet from a text file containing the actual hex data packets to then send these accurate return through a writing UDP hex data. I can't understand how to feed data into the function of writing UDP as real rather than characters ASCII hex data, as it does by default. I had the screen on the last VI before the writing of the UDP to "hexadecimal display mode" and if I manually type the hexadecimal values in the VI (hexadecimal string to binary String.vi - attached), then it passes the commands correctly. However,... when I fed the string of text in my text file data in this VI, it seems to be the substitution of this hexadecimal display on the VI input mode and the resulting entry in my UDP is still ASCII character mode. I tried to use a cast inside this VI, type... but that doesn't seem to work right. I have attached the main VI and VI which tries to prepare data before reading the UDP protocol. I've also attached an example of text file of data that I am an attempt of analysis.

  • Problems connecting to JDBC data source

    We have recently upgraded to JDeveloper 11 g to 10g and flies our applications (primarily the Struts). They are compiled fine, and I am able to create data sources and successfully test the connection to open the data source through the window of Application resources. The problem comes when I try to connect through the application. In Java code, I use a DataSource object to get the connection of InitialContext.lookup ("jdbc/sun_DS1") where the JNDI name is in parentheses. We used to define this connection in JDev 10 g via the file data - sources.xml and it worked very well. Now with 11g and defines the connection to the application, I don't know if I'm missing a step between the creation of the data source and run the application.

    The error I get is: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: while trying to search for "jdbc.sun_DS1" did not find subcontext "jdbc." Solved "; rest the name "jdbc/sun_DS1.

    Once you run your application on the WLS console launch (http://localhost:7101/console) and look to see if JDev created a data source for you in WLS.)
    You may need to add it manually.

  • List of default data Source is only the list of JDBC data sources

    I have several defined JDBC data sources and have added a few sources of data file. But when I look at the report of a new report properties page, the default data Source drop-down list only JDBC data sources, none of the sources of data file. I tried clicking on the link "Refresh Data Source list", but it doesn't seem to do anything.

    I'd be able to see my file data sources in the Data Source by default list? I the role of the admin, it should not be a security thing. I give my data file sources a role, and I also have that same role.

    The default data source drop box contains only jdbc sources. You must create a new data source, type the file, and then choose the file directory, you have set up and then enter the name of the file. At this point, the default data source is ignored. Weird, I know, but it's like this: 0)

  • Digital loading data from text file for Test of numerical limit

    I am a new user of TestStand 2014.  Just downloaded the demo ran successfully the computer.dll tutorial & example "loading limits a File.seq text"; & is now trying to build my own sequence from scratch.  I want to load a number from a text file using the property Loader.  The file contains the following:

    GGbeg
    484
    GGend

    My hand sequence contains 2 markets (see attachment):

    Charger property (which reads the text file & must store the number 484 in the Step.Result.Numeric variable, right?)

    GG-digital-test (which should test the number 484 in Step.Result.Numeric as a Data Source, right?)

    But when I run it, the measure indicates "0" for the value instead of "484".  What I am doing wrong?  Thank you in advance for your help!

    The text file must be in the format, includes no property magazine. Use the following in the text file to make it work:

    In the Tools menu of the sequence editor, there are some 'Properties Export/Import' tool, which helps to create text files to be used with charger property stage. I highly recommend to create the new file using the tool and then edit the file to change the values.

    I have a silly question to ask questions about the writing of data in a text file or a spreadsheet. I have an example that simulates a sine-swept DAQmx. The output it provides is the (amplitude and phase) frequency response function that is plotted on a graph (see VI) attached. I like to use these data for further analysis by transmitting the data to a text file or a spreadsheet. I've tried a few things, but the thread is broken. I guess I use the sink badly - so I was wondering, can you please advise me on what sink should I use?

    The wire is broken, because you cannot connect this type of data to one of these two functions. The data source type is a table 1 d of the clusters, where each cluster contains two tables. The text file write accepts strings, not clusters. Writing on a file action accepts dynamic data, and while you can convert dynamic data tables, there is no built-in mechanism to convert a table 1 d of the clusters of two matrices.

    What you need to do is to convert the data in a format which can be accepted by these functions. Since you want to have a "spreadsheet" file then you should use writing to the spreadsheet file that creates a delimited text file. Since the frequency data would be the same for the plot of the magnitude and phase diagrams, you can have 3 columns: frequency, amplitude, and phase. You can take off the items using Unbundle by name, and then create a table 2D of each element of the cluster. The real question is to know if you want to save the data at each iteration and if you simply add on the file. The attached figure shows write an initial header and then adding just streaming the data.

  • Diff data loading while doing through SQL and while doing through text file

    I have an ASO cube data charges every day morning. Loading the data is automated by MaxL and this MaxL files uses a SQL (against teradata) as the source of data and a State of charge for loading data. 1 week incorrect data return has begun to show upward and nothing has been changed. It's strange when I run the SQL in a teradata assistant and copy the results to a text file and load the data via EAS from the text data source file and the same rule that data file appears on the right. Any ideas on why this is happening. So basically when I use a SQL data source and a particular rule file data seems to be missing, where as during the use of the results of the same SQL copied into a text file and load data into the text file and the same rule file it seems to work. I'm on 11.1.1.4 and in this case only a private citizen of the cube.

    Well, you reset the database before each load that takes the properties 'Overwrite' or 'Add' of the equation which is good. And it looks like nothing of going with several buffers (no parallel loading SQL, right?). That really just leaves box "Aggregate use Last" - did you happen to check this? By default applied your MaxL charge would be "Aggregation Sum" (which is the equivalent of not check "Use Last Aggregate").

    A_defaut, I would suggest that you add a WHERE clause of your SQL query to zoom right down to one of your 'problem' values (you have not really described what you see error data) and a) load just this intersection and b) see the result of the query in the data prep Editor.

    SAPMM is the name of the connection.
    I use get_filename to get the name of the file and it is fetching a correct value as long as this variable is updated in the previous stage of this interface.

    Thank you for posting. You use LabVIEW? If so, what version of LabVIEW FPGA do you use? You use a host VI, or any deployment of code at your target to run? The file IO VI probably won't compile to target because they are not intended to be used on your host computer. Resources and the paths of files do not exist on the target FPGA, but rather on the side of the host. I have included a link below that describes how to transfer data between the FPGA and host.     I have a LV program to save the LabVIEW data into a text file. The LV file is attached. My problem is: the first data that are saved after the headers of data, is on the first line of the text rather than the second file. Ideally, it should be line 1, line 2 from data headers. I don't know what is the origin of the data to be concatenated with the headers. Can anyone help on this please.

    Your problem seems to be quite simple, if I understand it right.

    All you need is a constant to be concatenated with your header line end.
    The end of the constant line is equal to CRLF.

    So, if you concatenate the header with the CRLF, your concatenated string will be like: "header \n".

    and then, in the following lines (1, 2, 3...) your data will be available as it was already.

    I enclose a snapshot with this change.

    I acquire [a waveform of reading] oscilloscope digital data that is stored in a column in a text file.

    I need to read selectable amount of data at average/parcel them points.

    So basically I want to have a text file with millions of data points, but I want to draw not to say that all 1000. data point. I tried a lot of things I found here on the forum, but as I'm new to LabView, none of them really worked.

    Does anyone have a suggestion.
