Text in firefox seems bad

On some sites the text (font) seems wrong and nearly broke.
Reload the Web site using Ctrl + F5 will correct the text, but recharge using F5 only make the wrong text appear again.
Here's an example of how the text looks like https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11298382/ff-text-fail.png
On the left side is the 'broken' text, on the right side is the correct text.

Searching I found a suggestion that cost disabling hardware acceleration might help, but I already tried this suggestion with no luck.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to fix the problem and to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    Hello

What is an example of where this is happening? Also we will reproduce in multiple sites to study then:

  • Since W10 is released, Firefox seems to have been sabotaged.

Since W10 is released, Firefox seems to have been sabotaged "voluntarily."

Repeatedly, I asks me to change my default on firefox browser, despite the fact that it is long established as such.
It runs much more slowly, with a lot more mistakes.
I now get apparently screen continuous updating, making almost impossible email screen freezes when it "thinks".
I now get messages of error of pursuit "(firefox ne répond ne pas) '."

Hope you can do some alternatives.

Firefox 40, scheduled to be released next week, will have many patches of compatibility for Windows 10. I hope that will address several issues that you are facing.

Since you seem to be an "early adopter" type person, you want to try Firefox 40 in his last days of tests?

Note: Some extensions is perhaps not compatible with Firefox 40, especially the toolbars now of security which tend to be updated simultaneously with or shortly after Firefox versions.

The following procedure will not remove your settings; don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

    (A) download a complete Installer for Firefox 40 'beta' of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/beta/all/ in a convenient location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

Note: to retain the use of your plugins installed, I suggest the 32-bit version.

    (B) the release of Firefox (if any).

    (C) to rename the program folder, either:

    (Windows 64-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

    (Windows 32-bit folder names)

    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    TO

    C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

    (D) to run the installation program that you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

    No improvement after this installation?

Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

    • \OldFirefox\Plugins
    • \OldFirefox\browser\plugins

When the final version of Firefox 40 becomes available (approximately 11 August), I propose to install this beta because will be auto-updated to Firefox 41 shortly after and unless you like software testing, maybe it's a little more adventure you are looking for.

Firefox seems to have recently developed seemingly random usually do not remember bookmarks, particularly when the pc does not stop correctly. Thank you

If Firefox detects that the places.sqlite database is corrupted then Firefox can create a new database file and import bookmarks from a JSON backup that does not contain the most recent bookmarks (a new JSON backup is created when you run Firefox for the first time on a day), then you may lose the bookmarks in such a case.

You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

  • No text in Firefox 15. Shows no menu text, no text in Web sites.

After the upgrade to firefox 15, there is little or no text in Firefox. The file/edit/etc bar is empty, there are the icons but no text on the Favorites, sites Web maybe have one or two pieces of text.

If I Zoom, SOMETIMES the text on the website will be reappear at 5-6 levels of zoom, but then disappear again if I zoom out, and it's never back to Firefox itself.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

  • Firefox seems to hang or take a break for about 10 seconds after selecting a file in a file upload field

    Windows 7.

This happens on all websites that uses a file entry box to download images/files.

    I click on Browse.

Select a file, and then click "Open" in the file browser window.

Then, firefox seems to hang or take a break for what it is between 5 to 12 seconds, after this time, the name of the file appears in the file input field - you cannot interact with the browser at all during this time.

Can be reproduced every time i run firefox - does not happen in IE or another browser on that machine.

Can you check this problem on Firefox 9?

  • Try to paste a link in the email displayed in plain text in Firefox, but as a link in Internet Explorer. This setting should be changed?

When you use Yahoo mail in IE, paste a link as a link, but plain text in Firefox. (YES, I know how to convert it into a hyperlink, but should not be necessary since it is automatic with IE.)

This conversion is made via a script that usually only works in IE and not in other browsers, in Firefox, you can use the toolbar button to create a hyperlink.

If you insist on this ugly design, it should be an option to convert. This is similar to the Gnome 3.0 problem, but at least they gave plugins of conversion.

  • Text of Firefox tabs, settings, firefox, menu button... does not load, if I'm not in safe mode.

Issue describes the situation well, for some reason the text beside all my buttons (including everything in the area of the firefox button) has disappeared. Web sites work well, it just seems to effect the entire text of the firefox program. I deleted all the data from my computer and reinstalled firefox program and had no success, I tried disabling all my addons & had no success. If I go into firefox safe mode works fine, it just happened today out of the blue.

  • Since I upgraded to 7.01 (linux xubuntu) firefox seems to crash, but only on the pages have something to do with Flash. I served flash and reinstalled and it seemed to fix, but is happening again today. Is there something I can do to fix this?

    I have Linux Xubuntu.
I had 11.04, but upgraded to 11.10. bold text
I've never had a problem with firefox until I upgraded to firefox 7. I've always made changes to about: config and went through my edits and none is related to this.
I just checked on: fails and I had 34 accidents since the upgrade on 11.10.11
Fix on the 13th, it seemed to me that there can be no planting until the 17th and it was through flash and then purge by reinstalling the necessary packages.

I solved this problem by disabling hardware acceleration. At the time where I went down as my flash 10 (instead of 11).
This option is no longer available. But disable hardware acceleration seemed to fix it.

  • Win 8 PC crashes when I try to run or to reinstall Firefox. Bad BSOD pool header

Since yesterday, Firefox crashes my PC. I did a search by a duct add on that was appeared and ran malware and registry cleaners. I also uninstalled Firefox.

Computer works normally, but I can't re install Firefox which is my favorite browser. Each resettlement attempt ends in BSOD and a shtting down and restart and a suggestion that I search online for bad pool header.

I've read about it and it doesn't seem to be a solution for me and a bit of his somewhat advanced, so I would ask instead for my question before you start tweaking the computer in many different ways,

Thank you for any input! I need my Firefox to operate effectively :)

BTW I run Windows from a regular desktop to start no new app/charms interface (ugh). So all the instructions would be most useful by using standard windows commands old school.

I'll just add that it seems that the error can be with the font cache:

Try to rebuild the cache of police:

Rename the FNTCACHE. DAT (in C:\Windows\System32 folder).

Rename the FNTCACHE. DAT to something like FNTCACHE.old

Restart the computer and let Windows re - create the FNTCACHE. DAT

In addition, right now 'disable' Driver Verifier:

Windows key + S > type verifier.exe and press 'Enter' on the keyboard > clear the existing settings > finish > click 'Yes' to the message to delete the settings and exit the program

  • Link to dynamic text in Firefox does not

I am unable to get a link to the image in Firefox - it works fine in IE. The link source of a dynamic code embedded in a div. text

    The source code is:

    http://www.dailydealhunt.com

The results of the question page is:

    http://www.dailydealhunt.com/more-deals/huntresults.php?city=Boston & Submit = sweater + the + Trigge r ++

The "Buy Now" image is in question.  I also tried to simply insert a hyperlink that refers to the dynamic text with the help of an img src.  Firefox didn't like either.

My goal is that the user click on the 'Buy now' image and open a new browser page that comes from the dynamic text.

    Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Seems to me that these links (buy it now those) are being masked by any positioned element fall on them.  I even am not getting the pointer in Safari when I mouse over them, and it's close to diagnosis for such a problem.  I note that you used terms absolute and relative positioning quite liberally - why so much?
