  I am currently working on a 4-page newsletter which was previously designed by another designer. I got a bundled file and everything works fine so far. I began to fall in the new copy and am inserting images. i've got 2 stories that I put in column 2 and when I insert a picture on them and click the wrap text button, nothing happens. I checked the area text envelope and ai.0625 as the amount of envelope options, but the text always flows behind my images. If I move the image on another existing copy (not all), it ends very well. any suggestions?

• Text InDesign CS6 does not work!

  I really need help!  I just installed Indesign CS6 using Windows 7, have Firefox firewall.

  I am a student and am by following the step by step from scratch guides (creation of a box and type the text in the box).

  When I try to type any kind of text in the box I created all that I get is a grey line.

  Absolutely no letters or numbers appear in this box.  I have an assignment due and could use very little help.

  Check your size settings and document of police as well as the zoom level. This "simulated" is frequent in page layout applications if the text is too small to read, anyway, and that the program is not necessary to render to the display screen. There is a pref for it. Change the font size or to use anotehr fonts. You can also enable high quality preview to apply full text rendering.

  Hi all

  Please tell me there is a simple solution to my problem, I appologise if this has already been posted, but could not find it in the validations.

  Objective: I want to create a handout for my students in an interactive pdf format where there are two columns. The first column has textfields where they type in their solution (and then save the PDF for their own reference). The second column using textfields in which I put in tips and solutions to the task, they are initially hidden from view and students can press a button to display help one fields required.

  What I use: windows 7 pro 64-bit and windows 8.1 64-bit using Indesign cs6 recorded copies fully implemented to date. processor i7 4 GB RAM

  What I do:

  1. create a text box.

  2 Add text to the box.

  3. right click on the text box and choosing interactive > convert to text field

  4 change the default to hidden so that triggered

  5. Add text to the new field of text through the text tool

  6 create a button in the pane buttons and sample forms

  7. Select the button to display the text field on the tap

  8. export to interactive PDF

  9. open in acrobat x pro (10.1.1)

  10. click on the button

  what I get is an empty text field, the text on step 5, I wrote went.

  Please help me solve this I have already lost half of my hair. I think I've tried all the combinations on the optipons button nothing works

  I can't get the string to the selected text. The selected text contains several xml tags.

  In adobe indesign cc version of 2014, the selected text is bring the string «< FEFF >» tags

  In indesign adobe cs6 version cannot get the string "< FEFF >. they do ""-empty space.

  The xml tags are not converted to "" but "\uFEFF" (zero-width space non-bec), it is the character used to represent the tags in a text frame. Looks like the apple script converts a hexadecimal representation unicode values.

• InDesign CS6: Letter 'I' initials not canned not their formatting?

  Hi all

  Hoping to get your help with something. I am currently working on getting a book highly customized format ebook page layout. Things are going well, except that I use the initials, and when a paragraph starts with the letter 'I', the dropcap is does not maintain its depth of 3 lines, as for all the rest. It also reduces the space between this and the following letter (if any). I solved the issue of the missing space by inserting white space, without breaking, but the depth of the line 3 is the part I'm having a problem with still. Any suggestions?

  Hi Alex,

  You specified dropcap in the style definition of paragraph or applied as a substitution? Initials are not supported as replacements, and that is perhaps the reason that the initials do not work for you.

• Text InDesign CS6 acting wonky blocks

  I started a new document. A text was copy and paste documents CS4 or Word, but this is weird. If the text block is less than 7.4375 on the scale, then it breaks and is redéroule at odd points and I can't seem to get the image at the end where I want it.

  I don't know where to look to correct some adjustment done.

• Hungarian letter missing in InDesign CS6

  Hello, I'm trying to enter the Hungarian text in InDesign CS6. I'm not in Hungaria so I just copy and paste the text I was sent. However, one of the letters does not appear after that I have to copy and paste. There's just space on the site of the letter. Does anyone know how to make these special letters appear?

  Very probably correct glyphs included for the Hungarian text is not the police that you chose and you will need to find a different font with the support of the correct language.

  Text from right to left (functions supporting Farsi, Hebrew and Arabic) is not currently available in Indesign CS6. However, these features are described in the InDesign manual in several places.

  Why describe it the manual and the software didn't do it?
  CS6 was advertised as having the support of Middle Eastern languages.

  I some how get the wrong version of the CS6? There is an installation option that I forgot?

  You have probably installed the English version. If you are a CC subscriber, you can change your language settings and download the ME version.

• CS6 inDesign when the text box is set it is not adapt the text with it

  In the past, I have been using Adobe CS5.5 and when you use Indesign I would like to make a text box, text entry and when I need the text box to be narrower, as I'm adjusting the box with the text selection tool would be admissible and move and adjust to fit within the box like you were changing the text box. So, you could see the text as you did the box around it more small.

  Now, I just went to do the same in InDesign CS6 but when move the text box, it simply moves the text and the text moves with it (do not meet with setting the text box), so I'm left guessing where the text will be sitting and it provides a few going until she I understand...

  So what I am asking, is there a box I need check preferences or something in CS6 so that text moves I adjust its bounding box, as it moves in CS5.5?

  I use InDesign CS6. I am trying to wrap text around a circular picture with a 17-point run box (stroke is aligned in the Center). The text is 70 points and flush left; the circle is on the left with the text box on the right. But when I select the cirlce and the text box, then turn on text wrapping, nothing happens. Fields in the skin Panel that allow you to change the space between the object and the text are all grayed out so I can't change them to 0. I checked the text properties of the area and have confirmed that 'Ignore skin' is not checked.

  Any thoughts on what could be the problem?

  I just tried to create an empty circle with no stroke above the circle I'm trying to wrap my text around, added text wrap to the new circle, and it worked fine.

  So I checked preferences, and it turns out "skin affects only the text under ' has been checked for some reason any.

  If you mean that the text seems to disappear, then it seems to be a relatively common problem with CS6 in El Capitan.

  I use CS6 with El Capitan and you encounter this problem sometimes. It happens constantly some days and other days not at all, but I've never established exactly what triggers it.

  As Bob says, CS6 is not supported, so it will not be a solution, but if this is the problem that you are experiencing then tap the display between 'Preview' and 'normal' pressing 'w' will fix it - temporarily.

  I need to put a lot of (> 1000) hyperlinks in my indesign document. Is there a way I can add alternate text to links in Indesign cs6?

It is generally used for the protection of the files for accessibility, but it may include the ability to more easily add the alt text in hyperlinks. It would be well done in the exported PDF file and still not in InDesign.
