• Text blurry on Mac Mini

  I just got myself a Mac Mini, and I'm having a little problem with the display.

  I connected to my Dell S27D590, and the text is blurred.

  I tried to adjust the sharpness on the screen itself, but I can't it to a point where I am satisfied. The same screen is strong Crystal when executing my Win 10.

  What I see, is that if I put the "underscan" off, the text is "good enough", however, the menu bar is off the screen, and once I set the underscan option sort the display adapts to the screen (1080), then the text becomes blurry.

  Then I tried to enable sharing of the screen, and when the VNC from my PC, the screen is clear and precise, but wayyyy too slow in updating (the usual question of VNC).

  Any suggestions on how to solve this problem is well appreciated and please don't tell me I need a Mac monitor.

• Pink tinted Photoshop CC text changing a Mac - how to fix?

  This is my first post here. I use Photoshop CC for PC and Mac for a bit this year and I learned a ton from this forum and other resources online...

  I have an annoying problem where the colour pink that I use for the text in a graph of t-shirt of png and the layout is changed when I use PS on my Mac and I don't know why. I used the same shade of Pink for a few months now and never had this problem until a couple of days. It must be a setting that got changed inadvertently. There is no question about the PC version - it works great as it always has.

  Screenshot #1 displays the color that was used to create the text - RGB 255-120-255 with color undesirable substitute indicated in a box below with a caveat "!" next to it. It is the color which has now replaced the (real) desired color in the design of the psd file and saving as a png.

  Screenshots n ° 2 and 3 respectively show the color of the text and that it should be (screenshot 2) and the color has changed recently, I'm trying to get rid of (screenshot 3).

  Here are two separate psd files. The rose of correct color appears in a psd file (the file original graphic source - screenshot 2), and incorrect pink appears in the other psd file (where the word 'Goddess' is screenshot of a mock-up of the shirt which had been inserted in the canvas - screenshot 3).

  Therefore, the inserted showing project of scale models of the shirt that has the problem. In the original design file the color shows correctly inside the canvas of Photoshop and exported image files.

  If anyone can give a suggestion on how I can fix this I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

  

  With only your samples seconded to work with, I took an excerpt of each and butted them to your color panel color samples.

  As you can see, the rich rose matches your chosen color and degraded game, with an exclamation mark (indicating outside the CMYK range) is a game to its available CMYK value. This suggests that the Mac is set to CMYK, you use wildly different RGB profiles or something does not work in the software. In the latter case, I suggest you reset Mac preferences.

  To reset the preferences:

  If Photoshop is already open on your screen, close (Quit). Then hold down the shift + command + Option key on your keyboard and start Photoshop.

  A dialog box appears asking if you want to delete the preferences file existing ("settings"). Click Yes in the dialog box. The existing preferences file will be discarded and a new one will be created.

  There is a bug when using the text tool: when I press 'enter', the cursor at the beginning of the same line, it's on, so replace the text instead of add lines of text to the box.

  If crushing, you mean that's what shows the image, which seems you have spacing set to a low value rather than 16, but not zero (0) as it moves down a little vertically.

However when I try to add text it turns in a different font and it does not list the original fonts in the text selection bar.   Yes, you need Acrobat Pro edition to allow text recognition. Unfortunately, this feature is not available in Adobe reader.

  Hi - I'm trying to export text in InDesign as an ASCII file. But I end up with a file of zero K.

  My bad! I knew that U + FFFD might appear occasionally in straight copied text out of InDesign, so I checked his UTF8 encoding and it's 'EF BB BF. That's why I thought that you are deceived and recommended to remove U + FFFD.

  But... you're right after all. One tells you it's, "EF BB BF", also translates into yet another code ID use as a "placeholder": U + FEFF, and since it is also a special code in Unicode your customer has problems with it.

  Change the line of replacement to it (this time around, I made sure to run your script and check the result before posting...).

  I use the native ability of text replacement for Mac OS X and have been for some time.  (Preferences-> keyboard-> 'Text')  I am running OS X El Capitan 10.11.5.  Text replacement functions do not currently work.  To resolve this problem, I tried to restart, stop, sign the entrance/exit to iCloud, add/remove new replace text shortcuts and try keyword/shortcuts text triggers in different applications.  None of these work.  Shortcuts are all listed correctly in the Control Panel, but do not trigger.  They work fine on other Apple devices with the same shortcuts synchronized in the cloud.  How can I fix?

  My girl texts do not appear on my Mac, but do for my granddaughters.

  They all show up on my phone.    We all iPhones, and texts will all their phone numbers.   Contacts displays all phones like the iPhone.

  When I send a text from my Mac to my daughter, I get "Not delivered", but clicking on, all get is the opportunity to try again.

  Today I got a text from my girl - since I'm at home, I didn't try to type on the keyboard of my phone, so I tried to text her back to my Mac.   It didn't, so I sent a text to one of my granddaughters.  This text appeared in the application of the text on my iPhone and my iPad as sent by me.

  My last text of my daughter on my phone is today.   February was my last my daughter on my iPad and Mac text.

  How can I determine why texting to these members of the family work differently?

  They are all my current operating system.

  My texts of Mac recently started coming to my email instead of my phone. Unless I put my phone also the text of my e-mail does not sync the two so I have two threads to send SMS.   'texts' - do you mean iMessages, right? (Do not send as SMS Mac).

  On your Mac: Messages > preferences > iMessage account > start new conversations of > select phone number in the drop-down list.

  On iOS devices: settings > Messages > sending & receiving > start new conversations of > check the phone number.

  can't copy - paste text from the Mac App Notes into a Photoshop Document. I tried:

  Other applications such as TextEdit or Word seem to work well...

  It works on my Mac 10.11.2/CC 2015.1

  I can select/copy/paste of Notes.app on a text layer, but it does not keep the formatting.

  As for why it works on mine and not yours, I can't say.

• macOS Sierra alternative text

  I upgraded to macOS Sierra of El Capitan, at the end of September and now my list of replace text does not appear in system preferences > keyboard > text.  The list is available and works on my iPhone 7 (iOS 10.0.2).

  I have repopulated actually manually list on my Mac yesterday and today, the list is completely empty (once again, completely intact on my iPhone).

  I tried to switch and system preferences > iCloud > iCloud drive > Options > Preferences.app system on my Mac without success but also by ensuring that this edition > Substitutions > click on the replacement text 'on' in applications where the replacement text is frequently used (Safari, Messages, etc.).

  For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
