  • Captivate 7 text truncated when using variables.

    I use 7 Captivate and feels truncated text when I use variables in text captions. I have a text entry area that I assigned to a variable of 'v_name' to. In a text caption, I have the following text: "$$ v_name$ $ to view the text stored in the variable.» I know there is a way to adjust the length of the variable, but I can't seem to find in this version!

    Do not type "$$var$ $" in the text of the legend, but Insert button X (near the button symbol) in the role of composition of the properties panel. In the dialog box, you will find a way to increase the length of the inserted variable.

  • Text truncated when setting "let sites choose their own fonts" enabled

    Hello world

    I'm on windows XP Sp3, with the latest firefox.

    Without good reason, when I have the setting 'let sites choose their own fonts' selected under options/content/fonts and colors / advanced, I see the text that looks like this:

    http://i4.Photobucket.com/albums/y114/brianbotkiller/Untitled-1.jpg

    This occurs even on the clean Firefox support page! In fact, I don't even text to type in my question, if I have the own font setting choose active.

    So what is happening here? I have uninstalled/reinstalled FF, disabled all addons, run in safe mode, cleared caches, FF and EVERYTHING seems just horked. WTF?

    This problem may be caused by the version of the bitmap of the font Helvetica or Geneva or another font (bitmap) that cannot be displayed by Firefox in this font size.
    Firefox cannot display that font in the specified gibberish of size and display instead.
    You can test in zoom out (view > Zoom > Zoom out, Ctrl-) to make the text smaller.

    Uninstall (remove) all variants of this not working do Firefox, use a different font or find a version of real type of the font that doesn't have the problem.

    I have a HP Pavilion dv6 laptop and Windows 7-64 bit.  I have problems printing on certain websites - not all of them.  A Web site, it is only in (1) article and they just changed the appearance of the page recently.  Using print preview or watching the 2nd page on the Internet some sites Web text is blurred and prints this way.  I see the only half printed background on half top of this page.  I tried using "HP Print and Scan Doctor" and it found no problem.

    Recently, I upgraded Java - this could be the problem.  I wonder if I deleted the driver printing and re - install the problem would disappear.  Any suggestions?

    Did you uninstall all fonts? Looks like the system font required may be missing.

  • NumericStepper problem - text truncated input

    I have problems with a NumericStepper control.  When the user enters only numbers, the control works as it should.  However, when the user enters numbers and separators, the entry is truncated.  For example...

    Truncates the 10,050.25 user input and the value to 10

    When the user enters the comma separator, the entry is truncated.  How can I stop this behavior?

    I want the digital stepper to accept only numbers a periods or to correctly format the number entered without truncating the value.

    Any ideas?

    For this, the simplest method is to make a custom mxml component based on NumericStepper and add the same handler to creationComplete in the root tag. In this way, you can implement as

  • Truncation of text instead of packing...

    I might be willing to something that is not technically possible, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

    I'm looking for a text truncator that will calculate how much room is on a line of text, and if text exceeds the horizontal space allotted, she cuts it and adds a «...» "at the ennd.

    Of course, because an OOOO and a line with iiii raise significantly different amounts of horizontal space, simply go with a fixed number of characters is not a viable solution. It should almost be a width in pixels.

    Is it feasible at all?

    I'm open to solutions javascript/jquery and css.

    Try CSS text-overflow .

    Example:

    div {}

    Width: 100px;

    overflow: hidden;

    white-space: nowrap;

    -o-text-overflow: ellipsis;

    -moz-text-overflow: ellipsis;

    -webkit-text-overflow: ellipsis;

    text-overflow: ellipsis;

    }

  • I can't save it for my web page password

    I'm trying to understand why I can't get my web page to prompt me to save my user name and password. This is the information that I got back when you try to debug the password manager, but I don't know what that means:

    The character encoding of the HTML document has not been declared. The document will be made with text truncated in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from the US-ASCII range. The character encoding of the page must be declared in the document or in the transfer protocol.

    index.php
    Connection Manager (content): onFormPassword to https://bigvinnys.quikorder.com/php/BIGVINNYS/m/index.php
    Connection Manager: count logins corresponding to host: https://bigvinnys.quikorder.com formSubmitURL: httpRealm: null
    PwMgr json: _searchLogins: return 0 connections
    PwMgr json: _countLogins: counted connections: 0

    Connection Manager: getting a list of all connections
    PwMgr json: _searchLogins: return 0 connections
    PwMgr json: _getAllLogins: 0 connections back.

    That means that the password manager could not find a name of user and password field or something different?

    In fact, I realized what the problem was. Despite me thinking that the form has a button "submit", it was actually compiled into a page that did not have a formal submission button, but only one type of entrance to the button. Once the type of entry has been changed in one shipment, I could see the backup password prompt.

    Hello

    Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

    You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

    In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:
