The 10g application server installation

Hello

I have Windows 2003 is installed on a virtual machine, I also have Oracle Database 10g release 2 (10.2.0.1.0) installed and configured, I need to install Oracle Application server release 2 (10.1.2) to the same server, is this applicaple?

Also although the application server will install a database, this database will use the same port 1521. is it possible to change the port. I tried that to change the listner.ora, but it does not work for me.

Thank you for helping me.

It is possible, in the DB change listener.ora the listener from 1521 to 1522. And when you start the installation of the OAS 10.1.2 consider using another Oracle Home thus Instance name so you don'r something rewrite by misstake.

greetings.

  • Newbie question for the Oracle application server

    Hi Master,
a DBA I am interesting to broaden my skill with learning on the application server.
I knew that in the past before Weblogic bought by Oracle, Oracle, always using Oracle application server.
Now with the Weblogic gaining more popularity on the market, which is the product the value of learning and get certified.

Is it still useful to take Application Server 10 g or go with Weblogic. in certification path, Weblogic 10 g.
WebLogic now replaces the Oracle application server, average abandoned Oracle Application Server?

Please enlighten me and thank you for your help

    Lie

Question if I go for Oracle WebLogic Server 10 g Administrator Certified Expert System it will be good to work with 11g thus?

Make it part of the same system (now). Like WebLogic is the portal and the Jukebox, forms etc. are the records.

What book other than the documentation that you have found the right one for learning.

Yet to find one, Oracle documentation was OK.

Is it better to learn the Linux or Windows version?

Both are very well, choose the operating system you know better.

I built my Middleware on Linux 64-bit test. Note that the 32-bit version allows to run Forms and Reports Developer.

    Beware of pre-installation tasks

    Install the Oracle database
    Linux RCU (repository creation utility)

    Database

Use an existing database. (And it worked)

My test was divided into four main parts: (in this order)

Installation of the regional coordination unit
    WebLogic Server Install
    Install JRocket
    Forms and reports Install

According to me, it took me two or three times to do things. (or at least work)

I found myself with these URLs in the end:

    Administration Server Console http://Host/console 7001
    Enterprise Manager Console http://Host/em 7002
    Enterprise Manager Agent http://Host/emd/main
    Oracle Forms http://Host/formes/frmservlet 9001
    Oracle reports http://Host/rapports/rwservlet 9002

So far, I have only an addition to my Web Page:

    http://www.Visi.com/~mseberg/compile_forms_on_wl.html

    As always this work orders:

    ./opmnctl status

I was able to add PHP after you apply the hotfix 9292625.

Note of Oracle that I found useful

You can have as much as you want, just your applications should have different names or URLs and point to a specific database (using data sources).

  • Send requests to page .html to the ColdFusion application server

The way I understand it, web browsers send all their page requests on the web server, which in turn identifies which pages must be processed by an application server (e.g., CFM, ASP, etc.) and sends the request to the appropriate application server. The server application then processes the request and returns HTML (usually) and the web server then presents to the client. Is it possible to change a parameter to .html or .htm files are send to coldfusion for processing in addition to .cfml (in Microsoft IIS)? If so, does anyone know of a section of howto out there? Just curious.

    Hello

Take a look at the Setup Guide that covers all the different options you have (as there are a some variations).

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E14373_01/install.32/e13366/TOC.htm

But yes, in short, you can have a configuration where there is no external Web server that uses the embedded PL/SQL gateway.

    Hope this helps,

    John.

Default password for user 'oc4jadmin! I'm not aware of this user in 10.1.2.x, maybe there's one of OC4J side but not otherwise. If you are looking for credentials to connect to OracleAS controls (EM), the username is "ias_admin" and password is the one you specified during the installation. There is no default password. Hi all

I was able to install the Weblogic Server and database, but I am facing problem in SOA server installation.

I try to install it to run application 11g BPM.

I saw the same problem has already been answered, but available solutions are not solve my problem.

Error message: Specify the location of the JDK/JRE when you launch the installer. Invoking the setup.exe with - jreLoc < JDK/JRE location absolute path > settings.

I tried both way to initialize the installation. IE directly through setup.exe and command line, but in both cases I get the same error.

He don't ask for path to Java command-line also.

    (a) in my java 7 system is installed.

    (b) I used Oracle Database 11 g instead of XE

    This could be the reason?

    I checked the program files:

    jre7 and jdk1.7.0_45 are here.

I also set JAVA_HOME in the C:\Program Files\java\jre7 environment variable

    path: C:\Program Files\java\jdk1.7.0_45\bin

Please help me to solve this because I'm stuck in this facility in recent days.

    Thank you!

I'm going through "Build your first process with Oracle BPM 11g" and I'm at the end of the stage, deployment. However due to the connection problem, Kingdom LOV has nothing in the search for identification Remote_WLServer. Users of demonstration have been deployed and created. All servers are running. • Changes on request not visible when it is deployed in the weblogic application server

    Hi all

I have an ADF faces application that runs on a weblogic server.
Application works fine, but I added a few features on some pages.

I tested it with Jdeveloper and the build in weblogic server, that works very well.
Now, I have deployed my application (trough the menu application-> deploy) to the weblogic server.

When I open the application now, I don't see the changes I made!
In the menu that I did run Build-> Make and Build-> rebuild but this did not help.

    What is causing this behavior?

    Thank you is advanced.

Try first cancel the deployment of the server application, and then deploy it again.
Then, you clear the browsers cache...

  • Save the client application server report

    Hello
I want to save the report of apllication server to PC client.
6i report can record in client side by user setting as a parameter destype, destype should be in the file to be saved to the client side and also have the destination parameter. destination is the user to save in the location.

any body knows how to learn what I can save the report to the client to the application server.

To transfer the file on the Client, you can use the webutil_file_transfer.as_to_client procedure. For example, see link below.
