The Adobe installer failed to initialize due to a missing file.
Hello, moderators of the Adobe forums and members.
I want to install Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 v16, but when I launched the Install.app file, I got the below error message:
Obviously, Adobe Support Advisor is discontinued.
I searched in the Adobe forums for solutions (using the tool of CC cleaning...) but has not solved the problem.
I'm using macOS Sierra Public Beta 2, which compatible with CC (I searched the internet on compatibility).
The same problem occurs when I try to install the latest version of Adobe Application Manager, that I downloaded yesterday from the Adobe Web site.
I also checked the Setup under /Users/mydirectory/Library/Logs/PDApp.log log file and lines of 2 mistakes are there for each instance of the installation program launched:

I found the solution: I went into the folder where the file is missing (noted in the log file), to find that this directory is not created to. And/private/var /... is a system folder, so I thought that root privileges are required to create directories here.
Therefore, I opened the file DMG containing Photoshop CC, right click on the file Install.app, Show Package content.
then I went to content/Mac OS.
Now, I opened the terminal, so I typed: sudo, a space, and then I did a drag and drop the file in the "Mac OS" folder in the window of terminal and supported on input.
The installer put the successfully initializing
I think that will work for everyone having this problem and did not find a solution.

I've used Adobe products for over 20 years. Now I'm really stuck, and cat live has not been helpful at all (no answers to my questions, just instructions ignoring what I'm saying, which is in fact already tried all of the suggestions/instructions, and they did not work). I answered to my 'record' and, so help me, the representative of the customer even replied, telling me to download the trial version. In other words, it completely ignored the fact that I had tried and it didn't work. I looked on the forum and there was a discussion on this "initialization failed", but the discussion was completely in German, which helps not at all. I hope that someone on this forum can help me in this process; This software is mega expensive and should come with better support.
Yes, it seems that if you run in a permission issues when the Setup program attempts to write to your disk. I recommend to create a new local administrator account and try the installation under this account. Alternatively, you can consider running the installation in a selective startup upwards to minimize interference from other applications or services.
The following documents should help if you need any indication as to the following steps:
Create the local admin account. Windows 7, Vista - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/create-local-administrator-account-windows.html
Restart Windows in modified mode | Windows 7, Vista - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/restart-windows-modified-mode-windows.html
If this fails, you can also try to log in using the built-in Administrator account (Windows 7 and Vista) - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/log-using-built-administrator-account.html , and then perform the installation with the built-in Administrator account. I recommend the creation of a first local user account well only in case your existing user accounts have had their permissions compromised.

I bought lightroom 6 at amazon, but it will not be installed. All I said "Installer failed to initialize, please download Adobe install advisor to detect the problem", but it does not exist. It gives me no more information than that. I already had a free annual subscription to cc through my new canon camera, but I installed for my mac already. No phone number to call, adobe contact to say amazon, what do I do?

If you use an installation dvd:
Copy the contents of the drive in a desktop folder and install from this directory.
If you are using a mac:
1. try to create a new user account in Mac with administrator privileges.
2. connect to the new user, navigate to Mac HD > Application > utilities > Adobe Installer folder, locate products such as Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and uninstall the
3. navigate to the user library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.
4. navigate to Mac HD > library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.
5 restart the installation.

I recently bought a Photoshop CS6 upgrade. (Dec 9, 2014). Today, I downloaded the file (Photoshop_13_LS16.7z
This downloaded OK
When I tried to execute the file (Winzip) I received the following message
"Installer failed initialize." Could be due to a missing file. Please download Abobe support Advisor. »
I tried to do and he told me that Adobe support Advisor no longer exists.

Extract it to a different location inside a folder dedicated and make sure not to destroy the hierarchy of files and folders within the archive. Also run the installation with privielges stuff and sufficient user security turned off.

I downloaded Adobe photoshop cs 5, for trial, after download, it is not installing in my computer of OS - Windows 7 and the message is to give "Installer failed to initialize. File not found. Download Adobe support Advisor to check the problem
just uninstall cs5, clean a cleaning use of the CC tool to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6 then install.
Make sure your file is downloaded to your hard drive sizes are expected file sizes. If you don't know how, ask someone to do it for you.

I would like to install the evaluation version of Creative Suite 6. I managed to download the .dmg file, but when I run the Setup, I get the following message is displayed:
Failed installation. Setup could not initialize. This could be due to a missing file.
More troubleshooting tips:
1. reboot your computer.
2. Quit all applications, including startup items, check virus and firewall software.
3. start the installation program, and then reinstall your applications.
I downloaded the program Adobe Download Assistant Adobe Creative cloud cleaning tool, Adobe Support Advisor and a recent version of the Application Manager. However, I get the same error message. I downloaded the program twice already. Nothing seems to work. Can someone please help me solve this problem?
Download the DMG again using another browser and check the system requirements.

My mac crashes during the installation of the cs6. I have to turn off the mac. Now, I can't reinstall or uninstall cs6. He said the Installer failed to initialize.
If you have not yet installed any Adobe application, try step below and check.
Step 1
(1) right-click on the icon in the Finder, then select 'Go - To' folder.
(2) you will get a text box, type in the following command and then press the 'return '. ( "Don't miss ~ symbol" )~/Library
It will open the folder of the user's library.
(3) then navigate to Application Support > Adobe.
Open the Adobe folder and rename the OOBE, OOBE old and AAMUpdater to old AAMUpdater.
Step 2
(1) right-click on the icon in the Finder, then select 'Go - To' folder.
(2) you will get a text box, type in the following command and then press the 'return './ Library
It will open the folder System Library.
(3) then navigate to Application Support > Adobe.
Open the Adobe folder and rename the folder Caps Caps-old and young OOBE to centenarians, OOBE Adobe Application Manager of Adobe Application Manager.
Step 3)
Basket of Adobe Application Manager of Applications > utilities.
Step 4) [same step again]
Click on the link below and download Adobe Application Manager and install the same:

Once installation is complete, niche is going disappear, and then open the Application folder and locate the icon to launch Adobe Application manager, double-click it and update.
Once the update is complete.

I uninstalled Adobe Flash and then tried to download. I get a message from Adobe saying 'Failed to initialize' is there a setting on Mozilla, I need to change to allow the plug in?

Creative cloud fails to download. The Adobe Installer keeps freezing.
Hello. The first time I tried to download the creative cloud, the Adobe installer was nearly completed before freezing. I had to reboot the computer to cancel the installation and now when I try to reinstall it freezes near the beginning of the download.
This problem has been resolved after talking with Adobe support. I had an old operating system.
