  Try to use the Application Switch with an application example - say the sample HelloWorld application.  I think he won't, which suggests that the problem is in your application.

  There are three places to look:

  (a) the Application disable method is pressed when the request is sent to the background.  Maybe you have coded it and it closes the application

  (b) you have a certain type of background processing controls (isForeground()) and reacts according to what it finds.

  Other than that, I think you're looking for a general bug in your application.  The starting point is to look at the debugging log when you do this - look for anything from your application you consider odd.

• Force OS x to open the application Java using Fusion?

  I have an application Java (.jnlp extension) that constantly crashes on OS X, regardless of the version of Java, local network or running on the internet, all I can think about... It crashes on very specific actions.

  However the application will run fine on windows and works great on windows emulated by merger.  Problem 95% solved.

  I would like to mark this file type to open in fusion.  Always.

  When I right click on the .jnlp file I see the option open with the OS X Java.  How can I navigate to VMware / Fusion / Windows of Java version?  I can browse and select always 'open with Fusion' but this isn't the right solution.  I need to see the Java application in windows?

• The Application of the missing unit menu

  I have a Windows 7 64 - bit 8 workstation running the host (version 8.0.2 build-591240) with a 32-bit openSUSE Guest 12.1 using KDE.  I'm under VMware Tools for Linux v 8.8.2, build 590212.  When you attempt to start the unit, I get one of two results - either the unit will not start, or it starts but the application menu is empty.

  I read the same thread "unity Applications Menu missing" (wire 331064) and following the instructions there-"Power down VM, exit Workstation. Open the folder containing your VM and delete the file caches. "Power of virtual machine, enter the unit and see if the menus if necessary (less than 15 s) appear.  As I have indicated, if the unit starts after that, the menu is empty.

  I checked the directory caches and starting the unit (with no menus), the launchMenu file is essentially empty (a few stray symbols) and there is no appData directory.  When the unit does not start, the file launchMenu contains lots of menu entries and the files in appData.

  I checked vmware-xdg-detect-of returns of KDE.

  I also tried a VM with a 64-bit openSUSE Guest 12.1 also in 32 and 64-bit hosts running XFCE (in the case where the problem was with KDE) with the same results.

  I have provided the vmusr.log as well as the vmware log file.

  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  I don't think JQuery UI BB10 theme includes a blow in the drop down menu, but the implementation of the menu to slide down to BB10 in WebWorks is not set in stone. In fact, it is very expensive (side performance) to go down the whole container to reveal the menu, therefore a superposition of the top does work better in my opinion.
