The battery swelling?-Trackpad is not a click.

Hello

5-6 weeks, I noticed that my trackpad was not letting me click on the left side, I can click on the right side and a little to the left, but there is one area where it is impossible to click. After reading a lot of Web sites and discussions, it seemed like the battery was swelling. But a few hours later, the trackpad was back to normal and I could click anywhere. This incident occurred again a few days later and a week later. Finally, about 3 weeks, part of the left of the trackpad would not click, but it stayed like that, and it's always like that now. I do not leave my computer plugged in for long periods of time and on the week take it out for much of the day and only plug it in at night. My battery has crossed 450 cycles and talks a little more than 3 years. The trackpad is usable for me and I use 3/4 of it, but only about 1/2 of it's easy to click. I'm afraid if it's battery swelling, it could worsen and cause a major problem. What should I do? And this battery is a swelling or not?

Thank you

Welcome to ASC, flyer505!

Allowing it to continue without correction can cause HUGE problems.

  • The trackpad may stop functioning completely requiring replacement
  • The swelling may damage the Unibody case any practice
  • A battery of swelling at some point will flee his guts everywhere inside the computer and can corrode the connections with the goo comes into contact.

Delays are likely to increase the costs of repair. Don't wait any longer unless you are ready to replace the computer, you have now.

    Hi Graeme,

    Thanks again for the update.

Laptop computer should turn on without the battery when it is connected directly to the power source. As Techgod said it could be a hardware problem, it is possible that the problem is with the battery.

I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the laptop to get help.

  • Is it possible to change text via the shortcut key (and do not double click on the thumbnail)?

This was bugs me for some time now - any useful comments would be appreciated!

    Hi Lukas.

I think I might have a solution for you actions involving. Create a new action, with a function key, which registers simply double click on the thumbnail of the layer text. Now toggle the option ON dialogue for this action. When I run it via the function key on any selected text layer, it turns the text editing mode and highlights the current text string.

I have not tried anything too wide so there may be other problems with this method, but it's worth a few experiences.

  • Trackpad will not adapt the changed settings

Hi all, I bought a macbook pro early 2015 of the retina, two weeks ago. Once didn't disable it so it happened in "deep sleep" mode supposedly and since then the trackpad settings do not work as they should for example I activated (before the incident of deep sleep) tap to click on function and now it no longer works even if the setting is still active in system preferences. Another example is the function of the right click. I got it on the option "click on right ', it is still active at the moment (I tried to inactivate them and enable the setting, restart the mac and power off and on again, sleep deep, etc.), but she will not respond to this gesture, however only the 'click with two fingers' gesture opens the context menu. Summed up : all the features of trackpad is not editable, even if I change them in system preferences (I also tried to create a new user and see if the problem is to update, but it didn't work either).

    Help, please.

  • swelling of the battery

The screen of my iPad nano began to separate a few weeks ago... it worked always, not much.  I just checked today and the battery swelled upward and separates the whole iPod.  There is now a good 1/4 "empty on the side and it looks like it's going to blow!

Apple has offered to replace it for $75.  Pathetic.

  • Satellite L755 would not charge the battery

Hi all. I bought a new laptop today... it wouldn't charge the battery so I exchanged in-store. The replacement also has this problem. I'm doing something wrong or I was just unlucky?

The battery in the bottom right of the screen icon tells me that the battery is 0% charged, but he is in charge. The red light on the laptop before left turns as if to show that the battery is being charged also.

    Yet battery does not charge.

If I unplug the laptop from the network, the laptop turns off instanty.

It is today the second laptop brand new with the same problem. Maybe a part of a lot of battery defective or is - a problem that can be corrected with the software? I don't want to take the laptop to the store for a second time in the day.

    Hello

If the laptop stops immediately after that the AC adapter is not unplugged, it means that the battery is empty and not loaded.
Are you sure you plugged the battery correctly into the battery bay?
Please check if the battery is well suited.

In addition, I recommend to remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Then press the power button / stop along 30 seconds and reconnect the two parts.
Then leave the laptop connected to the network for a longer period of time (2-3 hours).
Then check the battery charge level

If he would always stay at 0% then I recommend you visit the dealer and check the other unit or the battery.

  • How can I remove the battery? Can not find the "door"!

I'm looking at the t-shirt and I can't get the battery door to open. My phone is non-repsonsive. ICAN can't turn it on and covered troubleshooting said remove the battery and put it back in. I can't figure out how to open this device and take out the battery. Thepictire is not useful at all.

To remove the battery cover, the best thing to do is to try to put your fingernail between the cover and the screen on top (I usually do it between the fingerprint reader and the corner of the phone). Once you get a loose corner, it is easy to remove the rest of the cover.

  • Do not charge the battery Asus G73JH

Hi, I have a laptop Asus G73JH, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I just replaced the battery, and although the icon in the taskbar indicates the charging of the battery, it does not load. It does not load with the laptop turned on or off with the adapter plugged. He did sink the battery for a short while when I got it, so the battery is good, but now it shows just 0% battery charge. I read a lot of posts on the battery ACPI control and tried to disable it, but then nothing at all if the battery is supported or not. Any ideas?

    Hi Will,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem.

According to the description of the problem, it seems to be a hardware problem with the laptop. I suggest you get the battery checked with any other laptop compatible using this battery model number.

The question does not match all the defects of Windows 7. However, in order to diagnose the problem with the operating system, I suggest you run the power Troubleshooter in Windows 7 and check if the battery starts to load normally.

    Open the troubleshooter of power

If the problem persists, I recommend you to consult the material support of ASUS to get help.

  • The battery light flashes slowly when computer is off (G6 computer 2011sa) portable

    HP Pavilion 2011sa G6

    Windows 7 64 bit

The laptop is brand new, I got it for a week.

This seems to happen when the battery is low, but not to the level of criticism. Initially, I notice the battery light is white for about 30 seconds and then off for 30 seconds and repeat - what happens when the computer is turned off. I turn on the computer and the battery meter shows 29% and a ridiculous time, 43hrs 29minutes. Previously, he said 127hrs. But it seems to be frozen at this value. The battery light is now flashing white and turn off more quickly. Finally the computer just turns off without warning. After recharging the battery meter displays a time in more realistic and there seems to be no problem.

Go to Device Manager. Expand the device Batteries and right-click on the "'ACPI control method-Microsoft compatible battery ' and select uninstall." Now, do a right-click any device and select ""find the hardware changes " option." Your operating system must be reinstalled a clean copy of the ACPI Microsoft-compatible remote control battery method while parsing. Now, restart your laptop.

  • Laptop crashes after the battery is connected, must charge laptopn until I use it... irritating

My laptop caused a lot of problems and I don't know why. This is beacause of my driver problem? By the way, my laptopn was bought in year 2007 while the driver is old enough so it's because of my driver? My battery seems fine, I bought it not too long because my previous charged was broken and the new charger autour cost $99.So can someone help me?

You have a hardware problem-the battery, the charge adapter, the connections between then, or maybe even something else (I can't say without testing).  It is possible the battery you bought is not exactly compatible with your system, if it was not EXACTLY the same battery.  I recommend that take you to a repair shop of computer good reputation for service and a diagnosis of the problem.  You could also send it to the manufacturer for service.  Compare the costs, the calendar, warranties, parts availability, reputation and any other factor consider you important and make your choice.

Why are removing you the battery in any way - why isn't she always left in the laptop and the charger plugged in during the night (even if the system is stopped) in order to regain full battery charge and this problem never occurs (even if you still have a problem that needs to be fixed - at least irritation will decrease until get you it fixed)?

And what driver are you talking about?  You said nothing about what driver for this device or is that the problem or when it occurs or when he started or whatever it is - and we have need to know these things to help.

I hope this helps.  Please answer the questions above before repair in case we discover another possible cause that can avoid this need.

    Good luck!

  • Replacing the battery?

Hello everyone. First of all, I'm sorry if this question has already been asked... I need your help, so my 6Plus will turn into 1 year in June, and I noticed that my battery only lasts not even one more day, I reinstalled iOS several times thinking it might solve my problem, but does not, so I was wondering, is it possible to ask Apple to replace my battery while it is still under warranty? I do not if I have to pay to replace it, I just want to have a battery that lasts at least a full day. Thank you in advance,
    Kind regards
    Theo

Make sure that you restore like new (and no backup). You will then need to reinstall your applications and your digital content all over again; no backup. If that doesn't help, take the phone an Apple Store or authorized service provider. They will tell you if the battery has deteriorated or not.

  • Satellite C650D-006 - how to maximize the battery life?

I have just bought a laptop C650D/006 and I was wondering what is the best way to maximize the battery life. In other words, if I use it with the power cable plugged AC will be keeping the battery installed the result of all the time a decrease in the battery or it does not make a difference?

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

You can maximize the life of the dough if you always remove the battery if you n t necessary e.g. in the House where you can work with AC/DC adapter.
In addition, the battery must always be fully charged and be invoiced if it s empty.

Moreover, I found a very interesting article for you in the section fair questions:

  • Tecra A5 - charges the battery only when the computer is turned off

    Hello

For a few days, my Tecra A5 has started to beep and stop it (like when the battery is low) then that it was connected to the power supply adapter.

I finally realized that when the computer is plugged in, the battery discharge and does not use the power supply to recharge.

On the other hand, if I turn off the computer, the battery starts to charge.
I replaced the battery a few months ago, so I think it's still OK.

The charger would be defective? Seems strange since it can always recharge the battery when the computer is turned off.

Thanks in advance for your contributions.

    > The charger is defective?

Theoretically; Yes, but could also be electronic supply on the motherboard is affected, but on the first stage of the AC adapter should be verified and laptop needs to be tested with AC adapter new, good work.

  • Satellite L500-1UU - disconnect the battery when it is connected to the AC adapter / CC

    Hello world

I have purshaced new Toshiba Satellite L500-1UU
    CPU: Intel (r) Core i3 CPU M330 2.13 GHz
    Physical memory: 4096MB RAM
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 6.1.7600

My question is: remove the battery when I use my computer laptop while its connected to the AC adapter would be wise or not? This would increase or decrease the life of the battery, or it will not affect anything?

Is i3 processors have a technique of centrino disconnect battery power whent, it is fully charged?

What do you think of this?

    Hi Khaild Essam,

I agree with Akuma. There is no problem, remove the battery when the AC/DC adapter is connected. If you can do it. In addition the battery charge will be stopped if it s at full charge. The laptop consumes energy to AC/DC adapter only.

If you remove the battery and work with AC/DC adapter only, the battery life will be improved a little because it s not in its use.

  • Satellite A210 - question about the battery life

I have a problem: my laptop works only 1 hour of unplugged to electricity, so my battery died after working of 55minutes (I mean I look at the pictures or typing in WORD). Is this normal? How long is the average battery life?
My model is SATELLITE A210/1AP (4000mAh) (my laptop is new; I bought it a week ago)
Please write how much your maximum battery work.

It is not easy to discuss this topic. With similar activity, I can use my Satellite A200, about 1 hour and 15 minutes. I don't know how you're using your laptop, but I recommend you to use all the power settings that can make the life of the battery a little longer.

Check the method of cooling, power profile, reduce the brightness of the display and turn off WIFI if you do not use and so on.

You must also understand that Vista needs far more resources than Windows XP Home edition and the life of the battery under Vista is not identical with Windows XP Home edition.
