The blackBerry 10.0 by Application restart

Hello

can we reboot device through the app just as in the java language, we use requestPowerOff in native development can we reboot device is there a way to do that please tell me with code c++ and qml.

Of course, I don't think that this exists on the native side, to the East, that I have not read anywhere.
Therefore, your best bet is to make a feature request in BlackBerry bug, information system (SAID / JIRA) using the link above.

    What class screen do you use for this?

    If you are subclassing screen, then simply substitute:

    protected void makeMenu(Menu menu,
                            int instance)

    If you are subclassing of another class of the screen, then you will also need to intercept the key Characters.CONTROL_MENU by substituting keyControl:

      // override of onMenu()    protected void onMenu()    {        Menu menu = new Menu();        makeMenu( menu, 0 );        menu.show();    }

      protected boolean keyControl(char character, int status, int time)    {

            switch (character){

                // menu key pressed            case Characters.CONTROL_MENU:                onMenu();                break;

                default:                return false;        }        return true;    }

  • Deploy an icon on the BlackBerry smartphone to a web application or URL

    Hello

    I want to deploy an icon on the BlackBerry for a web application is home.  When the user click on this icon, I automatically want to launch my web app (URL).

    I found this article:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800708/800655/How_To _...

    And I read about 'push channel browser', which seems to do exactly what I want to do:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/7979/1181821/832210/Developi...

    I did a test with my Blackberry that is connected to a BES, and it works very well using the code example.

    My question is this, 'channel browser push' can be used for Blackberry that is not configured in our BES.

    For example, I want to be able to deploy an icon on the Blackberry from customers and suppliers we have, but these Blackberries are not related at all our BES or network.

    Is it possible to do this?  If so, should I do something special to make it work?

    If not, does that mean my only solution is to create a Java application that automatically launch the browser Blackberry (second option from the first link)?

    Thanks for your help!

    Channel browser push you make reference to requires the user is on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

    The alternatives to this is a Java application (as you have discovered), BlackBerry Widget or Signal of Web.  Web signals is the equivalent to a BlackBerry Internet Server Browser channel thrust.

    BlackBerry Widget SDK (applications requires a BlackBerry 5.0 device software)

  • The blackBerry Smartphones No. MMS option and cannot connect to the application server

    Good evening

    For some reason any I can not receive or send MMS on my Blackberry 9520 Storm 2. I still do not see the ability to send a picture as a text when I go on my photos. I don't know if it's the phone or my provider. I have my 9520 unlocked on AT & T with a package data unlimited talk and text unlimited. I tried to have photos I was sent as well, but it was also no chance that I NEVER received a text.

    The second problem I have is that I can't access the Blackberry App Store. Try whenever I have it says that it cannot connect to the server.

    Any help?

    Edit: The problem of the App Store is no longer present (off the network and turned it back), but the MMS problem is still present.

    Hello!

    I suggest the following:

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > BBKey (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! But, the fact that you can't do SMS or MMS seems to indicate that they are not part of your plan service provider - that is why, if the above does not help, then contact them to see if you who are on your plan on their part.

    Good luck and let us know!

  • WAP2 transport on the BlackBerry Storm (Verizon)

    Nobody knows what the service book is to use transport WAP2 on the BlackBerry Storm?  My application requires a socket with a rtsp stream connection.  As I understand it (http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800451/800563/What_Is...) knowledge base article, it's that I need to add the connectionUID to the transport WAP2.0.  However, when searching in the directories of service on the BlackBerry Storm, I don't see anything like that.  Verizon intentionally omit?

    It turns out that all that is required to be attached is "deviceside = true" for Verizon, Verizon is a CDMA carrier, it will use the DirectTCP connection.  Thanks to bzubert for additional information.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones two accounts on the BlackBerry Bold 9650

    I had a "BOLD" of Verizon BlackBerry 9560 for about two months.  I use both an e-mail address of work through my company's BES and a Hotmail account.  Last week I had problems with Outlook duplicate appearing on my calendar, events so that our "wiped" IT Device Manager which seems to have solved this problem but brought another person that I need help with.

    I put the device in a way that all notifications in my Messages folder (including work and emails Hotmail, texts, BB Messenger, missed calls and voicemail notifications). However, since the reset, two old items have disappeared:

    First of all, I used to be able to choose if I wanted to send an email from my 'Office' (business address) or a Hotmail account by clicking "Email Composer" in the menu and then scroll up to above to: line and switch between the desktop (by default) and Hotmail. I would only be able to send from the office (i.e., there is no way to switch to Hotmail to send instead of this account). I tried 'Inbox settings' in the Options menu, but can't find out how to add the Hotmail account it.

    The other problem is that for incoming Hotmail messages, when I clicked on delete I used to be able to choose if I wanted to "remove Pocket' or 'Delete from Handheld and account' (or something like that.  Now, if I click on delete a Hotmail message, it removes both the BlackBerry and the Hotmail account, which I still don't want to do.

    Any help/advice/suggestions?  Thank you!

    Hello!

    I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS lines for these accounts.

  • Don't launch the blackBerry Smartphones Applications

    I just downloaded a theme OTA and it seems that it is the cause of my "BOLD" for not being able to run almost all of my applications.

    I tried to go to 'Options' to delete the theme, but I can't open it same.

    Hello josephineloretta

    Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums

    First perform a battery pull reboot as this device on remove the battery for a min. then reinsert it wit back up what your device restarts. Then give it a try and see if it allows you to uninstall this application.

  • Applications of the blackBerry Smartphones home screen

    I lost my messages, e-mail messages, applications of volume control on my homescreen. I pressed menu and they are gone as well.

    How can I get them back, and how can I make sure that I can not lose them again?

    In the menu, I also lost my icon to respond to text messages

    Someone please help?

    On your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL and make these icons have been hidden, or accidentally moved to a folder. Check them all.

    If still nothing, go to options > advanced > Houst Routing Table > Menu > register.

    With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    A little luck?

    Hello monorayfromportland,

    If you are unable to connect to the iTunes Store on your Apple TV, take a look at the troubleshooting steps below:

    If you cannot connect to the iTunes Store

    If you cannot connect to the iTunes Store on your Apple TV (4th generation):

    1. Make sure that your date and time are correct. Go to settings > general > Date and time.
    2. Check if your Apple TV software is up-to-date. To check the updates, select settings > system > software updates > software update.
    3. Make sure you have an active network connection. Go to settings > network.
    4. Check to see if other devices, such as computers or tablets, can connect to Wi - Fi and access to the Internet.
    5. Reset the wireless router by turning and then again.

    Take care.
