-The blue ThinkVantage button new

I had to change the hard drive on my ThinkPad R60 9456 - HTG on a stay in France, the old man said all of a sudden there's an error 0000. Probably a physical damage in the Windows domain.  A local expert helped me with a Danish new Windows XP and reinstalled which is necessary to get a proper job. I saved all my documents and still have the old haddisk as an external hard drive with programs, documents, etc. But the blue ThinkVantage button does not work after the start-up and full operation. I have downloaded rescue and recovery 4 and everything there's ThinkPad and ThinkVantage Technologies programs. The blue functions ok button before starting to open R & r exactly where is the original messages and programs behind the hidden blue ThinkVantage button? I don't think it helps to use R & R to restore the system, because I don't have a God an old system to restore. Would it be useful just to cut and paste the old card R & R from your old hard drive to the new hard drive or the whole Levono or ThinkPad cards?  System update does not either, but I understand is something we will have to wait until May 31. Of course I can't live without the blue button, but it just annoys me that it does not work.

Thanks in advance if anyone knows a solution simple faily. Here on a hill in French I don't want to take too many risks.

Best wishes

John

Problem solved. I downloaded, but does not have the ThinkVantage Productivity Center correctly.

  • How to make the blue ThinkVantage button work?

    Hi all!

My X 20 tablet (model 74508HP) has been delivered with Windows Vista installed! I formatted the hard drive, delete all partitions and installed Windows 7. But now, the blue button on ThinVantage does not work! I have already installed all the driver (I think!). Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

  • Blue Thinkvantage button at startup

Whenever I press the button of thinkvantage at startup, the computer starts to load files and enters the rescue and recovery program.

If I remember correctly, press the thinkvantage button used to display a list of a few kinds with different boot options.

Is it possible to reactivate this list?

without the blue button thinkvantage is supposed to do, thinkvantage was there to help you recover the backup image or a reload factory OS, if your computer has suffered a malware or virus attack or if your computer laptop operating system has been corrupted somehow.

If you do not have the recovery or rescue and installed recovery image, then the blue thinkvantage button chose to start.

  • Factory settings Resinstalling when blue Thinkvantage button does not work

Last year, I panicked when I thought I had a virus. Rather than rely on my own multiple back-up system, I guess someone knew more about computers that I do and let someone else in my computer. My X 60 has not worked properly since. The Thinkvantage button does not work, and it is hit and Miss as to if I can get the thinkvantage functions to work. My wireless radio buttons don't work at all, and the indicator wireless lights turn on and turns off at will.

I tried to reinstall the application and the update of all implement the Lenovo site, but nothing worked, so I think I'll have to reinstall the orginal factory settings and start over again to clarify these issues.

I backed up all my data, and made discs (just in case) recovery... now my question is, how do I start to "rescue and recovery" / 'reinstall factory settings' when the blue button does nothing when I push at the start?

(Works under XP - if that makes a difference).

    Thank you

    Problem solved.

I managed to get into Rescue and Recovery manually and found that I had a backup on my C drive that existed prior to my problems. I just restore to that date and "presto!" the blue button works again!

I'll have to spend the rest of the day, re-installing everything that has been added or upgraded from a year, but this simple step seems to have solved my problem. Who would have thought that I had a copy of backup to disk C - I thought I backed everything up to an external drive!

Tip for any staff of Lenovo, reading this - if your security people knew more about Thinkvantage program, I could have solved this problem months ago - these are them who sent offshore to find updates to day and re - install Thinkvantage to try to get the blue button works again.

    Thank you all.

  • ThinkVantage Button takes me to the system recovery after HARD drive partition

    Hello

I recently bought a W520 with 4 GB of RAM.

I bought 3 branches of more than 4 GB each, installed and everything was fine. Also, I shrunk the C: drive and created a new disk (D:\) from space, that I rescued after the reduction of the volume.

When I start the laptop and you want to enter the BIOS setup by pressing the blue ThinkVantage button, she won't go to the BIOS Setup. Rather, it passes through the system recovery options.

What gives? How can I go to the BIOS Setup?

    Thank you in advance.

Continuously when the system starts, press F1.

  • ThinkVantage blue stratup button

    Hello

After updating the drivers of my T500, I found that I have more access to the blue ThinkVantage button to access the rescue and recovery software before starting windows...

Blue keys works fine, after logon for windows vista, the center of productivity of loading thinkvantege.

Partisions them are ok (I mean, I have not deleted)

I did an operation rescue and recovery of my windowsfrom my CD of relief... but there is no restoration of the functionality of the button.

How to restore the functionality of the thinkvantege button, so that I can use the rescue and the recorey before windows starts?

    I have sovle the problem...

    It was quite simple acctually

After a search through the forum, I have to uninstall and reinstall the Rescue and Recovery program.

THIS sovle the problem with the blue ThinkVantage button... (I was unable to load the Rescue and Recovery software before WIndows)

The button (thinkVantage) Blue works now perfect program and the charge of Rescue and Recovery.

Firstly uninstall the Rescue and Recovery

ThenI have install the last version of 4,21 (tvtvrnr42_1015en.exe), http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-70035.html

    (Without installing any updates)

    NOTE:

I came across an error of installation (the correct. TVT file not found). This was due to the fact that I had the regional framework as the Greek rather than English (something that Lenovo has mention in the text file when you download the program)

If you download the English version you MUST have a regional as English or American setting. After you change the regional setting us, continue installation

I didn't start the computer with the software lenovo to repair the mbr (the solution proposed above) because I was afraid that it will cause a more serious problem with Windows Vista.

This solution worked like a charm...

Thanks for the replies and suggestions.

  • ThinkVantage button (s) do not work

Somehow, I lost the use of the blue "ThinkVantage" button on my R61i... also, if I click on the desktop icon it doesn't... another words, I don't have have the use of the ThinkVantage software/Productivity Center.  Y at - it somewhere that I can find on the Lenovo site to download?  Thanks in advance for your help.

I just fixed this myself this morning, after months of trying to get the blue button to work.

    Here's what I suggest:

    (1) see if you still have access to the rescue and recovery - by going "Thinkvantage" in the start menu > all programs menu.

    (2) as appropriate, choose rescue and Recovery > recover to a previous back upward. It should show you the list of backups that are on your C drive. If you are lucky, you will have a backup that date from before the loss of functionality of your blue button.

This action took 10 minutes and revived my blue button.

If you do not have "thinkvantage" in your Start menu, you will probably need to download from the Lenovo site, then use the rescue and recovery. Download Thinkvantage re-enter the program for me, but does not solve the blue button.

I hope it works for you. I'm not a computer tech - just figured this out by myself, after trying everything I could think of.

  • ThinkVantage button doesn't work is not started

    Hello

I bought a couple of seconds for the W520 hand that accompanies Windows 10.

LN two machines you cannot interrupt the start-up with the blue zThinkvantage button.

Research I've done seems to point to this remap after Windows is loaded, which does not at all help.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

The Thinkvantage button should launch recovery for the W520 menu. None of these tools of Windows 7 will work on Windows 10 and there is no possibility of mapping of the key in something similar. The W520 is also not on the official list of Lenovo for Windows 10 support either.

You can always hit F1 to enter BIOS and configuration during the boot sequence screen.

    Hello

    Model - T400
    OS - Vista 32 bit.

When I start my computer and tries to access the thinkvantage result page, I couldn't enter.
I pressed the blue thinkvantage when the screen asked.
but instead of entering the result screen, it goes into another menu.

It seems three options... with a black background.  (which is different from the last time when I go to the page of result)

Hmm - can someone help to solve my problem?
all the solutions for helping me return to the rescue and recovery of back page?

    Thank you.

No bother, I hope that your question will help others.

If your system works well, and you have no reason to reinstall, you can consider using rescue and recovery or other options of third parties to create backups of your entire system something wicked should happen in the future. It would be also desirable to separate your important data backups.

I downloaded LR6 to a new computer HP Pavilion. 10 windows and when I try to change in developing all that I get is a blue screen. Photos are .dng but when I click on the before / after button, I get a partial view of the picture and the part is still the blue light in the rear section. When in the module library, photography is able to be seen, but as soon as I click on the development, I see a flash of the photo and then the screen is all blue where I would like to see the photo. I opened both the old and the new computer and against each element and they are identical with the exception of the blue screen. I wonder if it has something to do with the magnifying glass?

    Question
I just upgraded to FF 3 FF9 and in the process lost my 'New tab' button, and there isn't one in the view > customization window. So, how manually open a new tab in FF9?

To open the window to customize the toolbar, do one of the following:

    • Firefox button > Options > toolbars
    • Press ALT or F10 to temporarily show the Menu bar and choose from there (view > toolbars > customize)
    • Hold DOWN the ALT key while pressing the VTC keyboard letters

    See-> https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/common-questions-after-upgrading-firefox-36

Regarding the new button tab, you see the end a '+' after the last tab or the right of the tab bar? This is the icon of the new tab.

    • CTRL + T will open a new tab

  • In FF 7.0.1 the new tab on the band on tabs disappeared after clicking on the icon of the tab group button and try to return, I'm looking for advice on how to get the new tab to reappear on the Strip to tabs.

In Windows Vista, FF 7.0.1 I've selected the button tab group to try out it. However, when I chose the button group of tabs to close this point of view, the button tab in the strip of the tab no longer appears. I'm a request for assistance to restore the button new tab (the sign '+' on the subject) on the tabs to the right of the tabs open tape.

You can find the button new tab showing as a '+' on the tab bar.

You can open the window customize and drag the button new tab that indicates that a sign plus bar tabs on another toolbar and it will become a regular tools like the new button bar button tab you have in versions of Firefox 3.

Open the Customize via "view > toolbars > customize" or "Firefox > Options > toolbars."

If you can not find the new button tab then click the button 'Restore Default Set' in the window customize.

If you would like the button tab at the right end of the tab bar, then place a flexible space to the left of it.
