  This problem has now been resolved.  I went in my computer > tools > Folder Options > file Type, select the type of file and clicked on advanced then > change and changed back to Windows Picture and Fax Viewer in Windows Media Player.  I had the idea of a response posted on this forum about a different issue, but who pointed me in the right direction.

  After resizesing my medium to large desktop icons I see several icons are not become larger. (all my ico files support all sizes, as far as I know, and they have developed scale perfectly up down before the 1. Restart)

  1. What is the size of ICO file? Is - this (256 x 256)?

  In Windows 7, App icons and Control Panel items must be in the .ico file format and all should includes following sizes of icons.

  • 16 x 16.
  • 32 x 32.
  • 48 x 48.
  • 256 x 256.

  According to the guidelines of the screenshot, there is a difference in size ofcon I have, I suggest you to download the package of icon for the application you want to change the icons according to the dimensions mentioned above.
