The captain "TOC" tab is hidden in RoboHelp project

I work with RoboHelp 7.3, and today I met a problem that I have not experienced before!

The TOC pane/tab/pod (depending on what you call it) disappeared - the master (default).

It is not removed, as I can see, when I generate the WebHelp. Can't open it from the Proj Manager - it seems to hide behind another component.

(Note, I consult the index/pane tab in Proj Manager - the master (default))

How can I get to see?

Appreciate your help.

Kind regards

  • Where is the bookmark all tabs function?

I recently updated from a very early version of the FF to 13.0.1 and bookmark all tabs from the bookmarks menu has disappeared. I always use this feature, so I desperately need.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you are using the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).

You can see the difference if you use Alt + F to open the file menu and other menus such as the Edit (Alt + E) menu and the menu bookmark (Alt + B) and compare that to what you see, if you use the mouse to open the menu after the bar of menus visible by typing Alt or by pressing F10.

    • "To bookmark all tabs" (Shift + Ctrl + D) is no longer present in the menu bookmarks unless you open the bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
    • "To bookmark all tabs" are available through the context menu of a tab on the tab bar.
    • 'Bookmark this Page' is accessible through the context menu of the browser page.

  • I have version 9.0.1 on 2 pc, both xp sp3. 1 the button "open new tab" is visible, on the other hand, the "Open new tab" button is not yet available in the menu "Customize toolbar" drag / drop. Why?

I used the same setup file, but on 1 pc, the "Open new tab" button is available in the menu 'Customize toolbar' and can be dragged and drop on the navigation bar. On the other pc, the "Open new tab" button/icon is not yet available for drag / drop. I uninstalled firefox completely, including the settings and preferences, then reinstalled, but that has not fixed the missing button.

    Hello

Please try to restore the default value in the Customize... window. If it is still not visible, one of the reasons could be that the button is already placed on the toolbar, but can be hidden behind a different icon or toolbar.

  • Why can I not see the left most tab in a window with FF6?

My problem is that when I upgraded to FF6 and started firefox in some left windows that most tab is hidden, what should I do to be able to see all my tabs? I don't have this problem with FF4 as the latest version of FF5 and FF6. I started to FF4, and was reluctant to upgrade because of this problem. Can I access the tab to the tab group, but I see it as an unnecessary step. Maybe you should stop having lunch with your neighbors of microsoft.

I've seen that a few times myself in Firefox 6.

Close this tab (Ctrl + W) and the restoration of the tab (Shift + Ctrl + T) to make the tab appear on the tab bar.

  • Is there a way to keep the key without wire-paraphrase hidden in Windows 7?

Windows 7 wireless network card allows users to view the paraphrase key wireless to a secure wireless network (see characters), while Windows XP and Vista keeps hidden key.  Is there a way to keep the key-paraphrase hidden in Windows 7, even for administrators?  If this isn't the case, I will allow all computers Windows 7 join my secure wireless network until this problem has been fixed.

    Thank you

This is just another example of how Microsoft is not in contact with the real world. The other big problem that are domain with Windows 7 users is disabled profile copy. (I found a way around this one) As of today, I will not buy any more portable Windows 7 for our school district until Microsoft gets some of these problems taken care of.

Once a user has the encryption key on their machine, its fairly easy, using Windows Connect Now [WCN], for the profile of wireless network on a flash drive and see the key in plain text in the\Smrtntky\Wsetting.txt file on the flash drive. This is a convenience for users who have wireless clients that cannot use WCN automatically, IE. a Linux client for example. WCN is and is available on Windows 7, Vista and XP.

  • How to change the Spry CSS tab

I like to use these old screens provided with the former DW Spry tab.  I just looked in DW CC and it looks like they aren't there and more.  But anyway, I made one for my client.  Now, they want to get one of the tabs on the far right of the margin.  See the image below:

    tabs.jpg

I don't know yet if it's possible to do and if someone has done this before, can you tell me what code I need to change in the CSS?  I would have joined the CSS file, but it seems that you cannot attach files in this forum, so I've copied below.

Please offer any means to change the color of the tabs, etc. - I just need to know how - or at all - this tab can be moved to the right.

    Thanks, Guy deaf

PS I'm sorry that the CSS code does not correctly appear in this forum.  When I type this message, looks like it will display line-by-line, but it's not.  I'm sorry.

  • The addition of swf (Captivate clips) in RoboHelp: flash controls do not work

    Hi all

I added captivate swf project and ALL the flash controls (toc, play etc) do not work, although it plays continuously from the beginning. If I extracted this page of HTML and read it separately, it works on all browsers. I do like MS HTML Help RoboHelp projects.

Are there any known problems with the rendering of flash elements in Microsoft HTML Help? It seems that it uses a weird built-in browser to swf.

    any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hi again

Well, this becomes curious and curioser more I look at it.

At first glance, it appeared things were working. Then I tried the playback controls. Weird, the controls will allow one simple click and they will perform any function you have clicked. But it seems to be. Extra clicks seem to be refused. I tested with a cool Captivate movie and one that uses the Lock Widget area.

I was wondering if it was a general problem with SWF content in general or if it was simply linked to the playback controls, I tried and then add objects button to each slide to allow the user to navigate from slide to slide. It seems to work.

I thought (hope actually) perhaps it was simply the default playback at the source of the problem controls. Unfortunately it seems not to be. I tried to create a SWF file by using the controls of the aluminum. Same question.

At this point, I have to admit that I'm more than a little perplexed. I'm surprised that I have not heard of this before, or that others have not reported. However, I use the Captivate files in my CHM files all the time. The main difference is that I never use the playback controls in my films. I always use buttons or click on the boxes to navigate.

Therefore be generally dissatisfied and poking it in addition, I seem to have found the culprit. I did the same thing in RoboHelp 7 and it wasn't a problem. What was different? I scanned the code and there is no difference. Hmmm

Then it hit me. The difference here is that when the Captivate playback control worked only after the first click, the RoboHelp project use to browse sequences. So, I edited the definition of the window and turned them off. BINGO! The Captivate now works correctly.

I also tested using RoboHelp 7. Same question here as well.

Certainly, this should be reported to Adobe as a bug. Link is in my SIG.

  • Cannot delete the default TOC

I created a new project of HR and it created a default TOC. Then I created a new table of contents and I can not remove the default and is the one who holds the poster. Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hi again

Arrrgh! I'm sorry! Ridicule me. I mix my versions of RoboHelp.

I just checked my version 7 and it does not seem to offer any ability to name a table of the different materials as the default value. RoboHelp 8 don't.

    Yet once I apologize.

When you change the properties of available, you are given the option to choose the table of contents for use with the page layout. Does that help?

  • Need help to change the new "new tab".

My new custom tab, google, is no longer opens. New tab in Firefox is shit, how can I change this back?

I used the topic: method of config to change it for a while, but now the chain is simply ignored.

41 of Firefox is no longer uses the browser.newtab.url setting in about: config because he was constantly attacked by malware. From 41 of Firefox, you need an add-on to change the new tab page.

Here are a few options (I'm learning more all the time):

    • If you are already using the extension classic restaurateur theme: There is an option somewhere (!) in his dialogues of the parameters to select another page in the new tab.

Use only one of these methods at the same time, otherwise there may be conflicts and dysfunctions.

Setting up substitute new tab and new tab custom

After installing one of these extensions, you must use the Options page to set the new desired tab page (instead of use subject: config).

Open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a (Mac: Cmd + shift + a)
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the side right, find the new tab replace or custom new tab and click on the Options button. (See first screenshot attached).

    New tab Override

Depending on the size of your screen, you may need to scroll down to enter the address in the form. (See second screenshot attached). For example:

    • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
    • Blank tab = > subject: empty
    • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
    • Any other page = > full URL of the page

Then tab or click this form field and you can test using Ctrl + t.

    Custom new tab

It is easy to enter your favourite homepage address. If you check either of the boxes, the expansion will set the focus in the page as well, for example, the cursor will be in the Google search box. (See third screenshot attached). I had to leave Firefox and start it up again before new custom tab started working, but this may have been due to tests so many extensions back to back.

    Success?

  • When the tabs are open the random icon tabs go funky (varies)

the icons in tabs that are related to different Web sites go funky (fluctuate randomly). It does'nt seem to matter how much is open.
It's hard to describe, but it seems that the icon multiplies itself and block the verbage in the tab. It seems back to normal if clicking on a different tab.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your display driver graphic card and search for hardware acceleration of related issues.

    Hello!

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/762043

    This solution should help you

    "

Ctrl-click or middle-click the Reload button to open the current page in a new tab.
Ctrl-click or middle-click items in the history of the Back and Forward buttons to open a page from that list in a new tab.
Duplicate a tab with its history by pressing CTRL and dragging the tab to a new position on the tab bar.
Dragging a tab in the browser window will detach the tab and move it to a new window, this is called tab tearing.
Drag a tab back to the tab bar in the original or anther window to undo a detach or move a tab to a specific window. If a window gets empty (you tear off the last tab) then that window will be closed automatically. "

  • Have just updated of FF37 to FF38. The value default tabs - file, help, etc., is no longer open properly. Advice, please?

When I click on the 'Help' tab, all I get is a partial outline of the drop - usually the bottom and one side. I had once a text, but no plan the menu. With this exception, attempt to use the DDMs provide no text - by clicking on the area where appears 'Options' is useless, and clicking on the tab 'Edit' to copy stuff does nothing either.

I have dozens of tabs open in FF and they work perfectly well - the problem is with File, Edit, View, history, Favorites, tools, and help.

Previous versions of FF were sometimes slow let the DDMs appears, but it's the first time, none of them have worked at all.

Could you try disabling the use of Firefox hardware acceleration:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

This takes effect the next time you exit Firefox and start it again. Any difference?

  • Why Firefox always opens with the last session tabs?

When I open firefox always opens with the last session tabs? How can I solve this problem?

You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them are .html, .ini and .js, .txt, so you can see only file name without the file extension.
You can see the type of actual file (file extension) in the properties of the file via the context menu in Windows Explorer.

  • [Feature Request] "Duplicate tab" in the drop-down tab

I know now that you can duplicate a tab control-click or middle-mouse-button the button reload, or by dragging the control from the tab above. But what would have been more intuitive, it is if there was an option to do this in the drop down tab. I'm more than one person to do things long-hand, and I imagine many others is too. Want to just Firefox to be great.

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,
    N
