  • 26 of Firefox does not load the home page. Instead, it loads the previous session (and that includes all tabs). It does not matter how Firefox is closed.

26 of Firefox does not load the home page. Instead, it load the previous session, regardless of what has been entered in 'Options '. The browser runs in Win 7.0 64 bit; Norton Internet Suite 21 provides security features. There are some solutions 'cloud', also running as Google Drive, box, Skydrive and Cubby. The browser behaves in the same way in all my machines (installation and the OS is similar to that described above) and no amount of reset 'Options' seems to affect it. Nor is it affected by the way that Firefox is closed. This is obviously a bug that should be fixed.

After update automatically to v18.0.1 a new FF session now opens with all the tabs that were open when I closed the previous session. How can I get back to where a new session opens only on my home page?

Ah Ah! It worked, it seems that it is a matter of Tab Mix Plus.

  • Why Firefox doesn't save my tabs from the previous session although I chose to do it in the options?

Firefox does not save my tabs from the previous session, although I have chosen in options, to save my tabs from the previous session.

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so it is no longer necessary for the dialog box asking if you want to save the current session.

Use ' file > exit ' or ' Firefox > output "If you want to restore multiple windows.

You can use "Firefox > history > restore previous Session ' to get the previous session at any time.

There is also a button 'Restore previous Session' on the default on: Home home page.

    Another possibility is to use:

Make sure that you do not remove the navigation, search and download history on Firefox to clear the browsing history when you close Firefox.

  • My macbook froze and I had to turn it off. When restarting and opening ff, ff did not restore the previous session and I lost all the tabs.

There is no trace of the previous session, to the title of the menu bar. I know it's common, I hope someone has a new response.
    Thank you

The xtra74pv.default file is the Firefox profile folder, if the file is in the right place and needed to be moved.

If you have an older version of the sessionstore.js file from before the crash then you need to replace the current sessionstore.js with the old copy to see if brings back the lost tabs.

  • Firefox opens the last session and tabs regardless of settings.

For the last month or two, I had this problem as well as others. Kept getting a popup to set my search engine, I did several times without success. This question went. Tab question remains.

No matter what setting I use open the previous session. I have Tab Mix Plus 0.4.1.8 so I've disabled that and checked the settings in FF to open to my Home Page. No good, don't always open the previous session.

This was not a problem with Tab Mix Plus over the years that I used it. Exactly, I removed it from the Add - ons. Options of FF and together to start with the Home Page and restarted FF but always opens the previous session.

Including a snapshot of the modules enabled.

    What is the cause?

Your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.
The user.js file will be present if you or a other software created this file and normally will not present.

You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them .html and .txt, so you can see only a user file name without .ini and .js file extension.
You can check the type of file (file extension) in the properties of the file via the context menu in Windows Explorer.

  • Opened the previous session.

    InDesign CS6

When I open the new document, always open to the top of the last work first.

Why InDesign opens the last session, all the time, and how to fix it?

The lock file is not the problem. The problem is that not you close the windows document before leaving InDesign and your OS X system prefs are set to restore the windows of the previous session.

  • Home page search is not working / not Possible to restore the previous Session

After the last update (version 29), the home page of default Firefox search bar has been completely non-functional. If I hit enter or press search, nothing happens. • How to stop Firefox 18 to restore the previous Session after a Crash

Firefox 18.0.1 running on Windows 7

When Firefox crashes, the next time it opens it tries to restore the previous session. I don't want Firefox to restore the previous session after a crash. How can I stop Firefox restore the previous session after an accident?

    Please note:
1 - my homepage is set to 'white page '.
    2. I configured Firefox does NOT remember my browsing history, download history, form fields, and passwords.

  • Required emergency aid: restore the value assigned to the previous session variable

I'm looking to restore the value assigned to a variable in the previous session. I learned that I don't put any value in the field of the value of the variables, captivate will automatically restore the value assigned to the variable in the previous session. Captivate stores interrupt the data value.

Also, I could find a good example with source and the file published by Jim Leichliter. However, if it is downloaded the file published to Moodle, it works fine. But if it is open the file source Captivate 5 publish without making any changes and transfer to Moodle. It does not work.

Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

    This should work for both.

  • Recently closed tabs / windows recently closed won't be remembered?

    Hi all

FireFox is not saving my recently the firm or recently closed tabs Windows. I can open a tab, close immediately after going to a Web site, and the options for both under 'History' are always blank and gray. I have not installed or updated plugins recently, so I don't think it's one of those he was working well before!

Any help would be appreciated I use these features a lot!

    Bravo and thank you!

Make sure that you are not Firefox running in permanent private browsing mode (don't remember history).

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the profile folder of Firefox that store session data.

Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and groups of tabs open and closed tabs (back) to get lost and you will have to re-create them (take note or bookmarks if possible).

  • Is it all the same to recover the lost tabs when they were not part of the previous session?

Basically, I close firefox with all my open tabs and then did not realize that a window was open. I closed the pop-up window without thinking about it, and now when I click on 'restore previous session' it restores just the a pop up.

    The usual method is:

    (1) exit Firefox normally, and these changes must happen:

    • Recovery.js is moved to the folder sessionstore-backups on the main level of the profile folder and renamed sessionstore.js
    • Recovery.bak is deleted sessionstore-backups

    (2) Once Firefox has stopped updating things, and rename sessionstore.js sessionstore.old

    (3) copy the file that you want to restore and rename sessionstore.js

    (4) start Firefox and it should read sessionstore.js and move it to the folder sessionstore-backups as previous.js
