  In windows XP, I used to be able to change the appearance settings to make my windows (ie. excel worksheet, word documents, outlook e-mail body) light blue instead of white. I can't find how to make the same change on Windows 7. Any ideas?

• Changing the data recorded at closing window pop up instead of using Save button/action.

  We met a weird behavior, and we cannot say whether it is a standard feature.  When a spec is an a workflow step that is Signature request, the Requestee can open a link to view the specifications.  When the user has also editing permissions, they get the icon change in the pop up window.  We had a user edited the spec then decided not to save the changes, so used the fence (red popup ex) instead of the Action: Cancel in the application menu button. The user expects that the changes would not be saved. It turns out that by clicking on the window closed, save the changes without any notice.  User should close work as Cancel instead of save.  Is this normal behavior of the application?

• Trying to do a pop up of a link to the column

  I have an interactive report (page 1) that I set a link to the column.
  
  The column link is targeted to a different interactive (page 2) in the same application.
  
  Everything works except when I click on the link in the column on page 1 it does not jump high page 2, but instead of this substitute page 1 in the current window.
  
  I tried all sorts of popup window features java code, but nothing helped.
  
  This is another simple syntax error, I do I'm sure.

  Here are the steps to pass the parameter in a URL to another page:

  • Add a custom attribute to the attributes of the current portal (say MyPortal1) page [link Direct: http://127.0.0.1:8888 / webcenter, portal, MyPortal1, attributes ]

  OR

  Sign in to your personalized Portal (say MyPortal1)

  http://127.0.0.1:8888 / webcenter/Portal/MyPortal1

  Click the settings (e.g. Pages & portals Actions)-> manage-> all settings

  It will take you to the page view of all of the current portal (i.e. MyPortal1).

  Then click attributes in the left pane, and you can create/edit/delete the custom attributes for the current portal on the right side.

  • Click Add an attribute and specify the following information:

  Attribute name = myvar

  This is the attribute that we will refer to any page using the EL "MyVar".

  Attribute value = #{param.myvarval}

  Hi, I created a table of approval in which I show all the approval roles which will approve a particular position in the review page. I use approval based on the roles of TEA and mentioning the name of role (ex - FP & A, etc.) in the table. The requirement is to create a link on the name of role and once the user clicks on this link, a pop-up should open the window to show all the people who belong to this role. I realized everything except the window pop up. I used javascript.openwindow (after seeing one of the thread in the forum) but I get the error 'Insuiffient Privileage please contact system administrator'.

  Hello recently (last days), I noticed that clicking on links opens two windows: one being the homepage (using BING) and I have to close this tab to access my expected page.
  Do not remember having this problem in recent years. Have you checked the default preference: create open new windows in a new tab instead of this and, when I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately.
  Both windows are open in a new window as opposed to a new tab in the same window. (clear as mud?)
  It's getting a bit tedious. Is this a bug with the new version of FF?

• Computer tells me that I have all the permissions to install Firefox. Why is this window popping up?

  I saw this question already asked in the forums to update the latest version of Firefox, but I don't need to update the version, I try to download the latest version of Firefox for Windows through Chrome.
