Hello:

I get a bunch of them in the observer of events as warnings. Not sure if I have problems because of them or not. Everything seems to work OK for me.

Here is a list:

#1:

Hello

Are you facing any problems when working with programs?

Note:

The event logs that you have posted here refer to errors with the search Index in your computer. These are not fatal errors. However, they certainly point to the fact that some of the sites indexed on your computer are not accessible for the mechanism of research due to various errors. These errors should disappear once you have performed the following steps.

Method 1:

You can run the fixit from following link and check the issue:

Difficulty of Windows Desktop Search when it hangs or no display of results

http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_search/

Method 2:

You can try to rebuild the index to see if it works:

Change advanced indexing options

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-advanced-indexing-options

• Error JavaScript prevents the table of contents, Index, search view

I produced my RoboHelp HTML project webhelp and got an error javascript (this.maCom [...] (' is null or not an object) when you view the result. See the full error text below. So the table of contents, index and search are not displayed. We'll find the javascript error in the status bar of the browser that says "error on page". I found that if I saw the result of robohelp, the browser that launched shows the table of contents, index and search, but has a security warning about a restriction of running scripts or ActiveX controls. However, when I move the generated webhelp on my production server, the help doesn't have the security warning, but produces the error so that the table of contents, index and search do not show. I had done the same process to generate webhelp about 8 months ago but had no error whatsoever. In fact, this version is still in production and works very well.

In my search for the problem, I found that it is the same error as message of the forum 4063663 (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4063663). I didn't have a second system with RoboHelp to be able to get other whphost.js, however, I have diff had the file generated with that found in template_stock and found only two different lines. These differences were only to replace a couple of variables with static text so I do not replace this file will solve any problem for me. That is the message of only forum I could find who addressed this issue.

I was originally on RoboHelp 8.0.0 when I first encountered the problem, but has expanded and patched to version 8.0.2 and still had the same problem. I even created a new simple project. Once I moved the simple project on the production server, it also would display the table of contents, index and search.

The strange thing is that only 8 months ago, I used the same process to generate webhelp without any errors (on 8.0.0). The only thing I can find is there is a Windows XP patch which affected the generation of webhelp. Furthermore, I also tried chrome and also produces the error.

I don't know what is causing this problem or how to solve the problem. Anyone have any ideas?

After further research and testing, I found the update of security for RoboHelp 8 and 9 (http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb11-23.html) posted as an ad that I had not seen before. I used the feature updates of the product, but that said I was informed and did not include this update.

Both javascript in this update files solve the problem. The table of contents, index and search now appear.

Update:
As I studied the problem further (when writing this reply), I found files that are newer than the latest security patches, I was aware of that. In addition, I discovered that my security organization decided to patch with APSB12-04 I don't know. This patch is why my 8.0.0 installation magically stop working. I see the announcement of the security, the bulletin was not all the required components for specific, that the patch can be applied to 8.0.1 and 8.0.2). (8.0.0, Adobe, please give more information on the ballots of so that organizations that deploy auto will be forced to find out what is running before the update. Information such as whether they apply to all versions of Robohelp 8 or simply a specific version. If APSB12-04 was supposed to apply to all versions of 8, then it did not work. In fact, he broke my installation of 8.0.0 for the generation of webhelp, but a later installation of 8.0.1 and 8.0.2. It seems that they have done a better job for APSB11-23. Maybe the security updates should be a kind of service pack that has a plant and a cancellation process. Right now, my security organization has replaced the files based on the specification in the security bulletin.

I'll try to patch with APSB12-04 new since I've updated version 8.0.2 database to see if I still have the webhelp. If I can't view the table of contents, I have to take off once more and be 'in non-compliance."

• engines index, O2, source code, do not pick up the search content index

Hello...

In DWCS4.

I have a page on a site that has the keyword "O2" in there. It is in the meta keywords tag & also the content. Search engines (Google and Yahoo!, but not Bing) pick up O2 in the region of meta keyword tag, but not the content because it reads "O < SUP > 2 < / sub >.

I understand that if I put a CSS style on the "2" class to make it look less/index, I'll have a bunch of stuff/code in front of '2' as well.

I guess I asking if there is a way to keep the '2' in the index of O2 with the search engines being able to pick up O2 content.

Is there something in DW I can do for this? I do not see workaround at the moment...

Thank you.

Hello

The search engine does not answer the index because the tag is not recognized as html, not more, but if you place the 2 in a css class called index and style using the css accordingly it will "pick-it-up.

• RH7 - size of the font of contents, Index, search

Hello group,

I work in RH7 version HTML version 7.00.145. WebHelp, we use for our published entries. Is it possible to increase the size of the font in the table of contents, index and search (not the buttons - the actual text)? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

TW

Hello

The easy way is to open the skin editor and go to the tab Navigation. At the bottom of the tab, you can set the font family, size, and color of the navigation pane, including the index, search, and glossary.

If you want a little more control, say the different font sizes to the table of contents, Index, or search pane, you can change the font size in the output files.

Take a bow

• I do not see the table of contents, Index, search & amp; Glossary when the call for help on a topic

Does anyone else have this problem? I use webhelp with contextual sensitivity, and I appeal to the table of contents, Index, search, and glossary to display. If I go to the welcome home page, they are exposed. But when we ask for help on a particular page, these areas are not shown, but they can be opened using the view link. I much prefer to see the exposed left pane, rather that ask the user to click on this link. How can I do this?

Robin Valk

Hi Robin.
See this link using the appeal of the CSH Webhelp output.

• Best preferences for queries to prefix with the index catalog (CTXCAT)

Documentation for Oracle Text gives this example of a setting preferred prefix/substring for the index catalog and context:

Start
ctx_ddl.create_preference ('mywordlist', 'BASIC_WORDLIST');
ctx_ddl.set_attribute ('mywordlist', 'PREFIX_INDEX', 'TRUE');
ctx_ddl.set_attribute ('mywordlist', 'PREFIX_MIN_LENGTH', ' 3');
ctx_ddl.set_attribute ('mywordlist', 'PREFIX_MAX_LENGTH', ' 4');
ctx_ddl.set_attribute ('mywordlist', 'SUBSTRING_INDEX', 'YES');
end;

The SUBSTRING_INDEX attribute is really necessary if I only ever issue that research prefix, such as:

Auction title SELECT FROM WHERE CATSEARCH (title, ' cam *', ") > 0;

I'm not sure that you understand the difference between the PREFIX_INDEX and the SUBSTRING_INDEX.

Substring is intended to speed up searches "double truncation", especially for the requirements specialist such as the research of the chemical name, where you want to search "% fluoro" or similar.

It is NOT recommended for general use, because it significantly slows down indexing and makes the very much larger indices.

Prefix allows you to speed up the search for right truncated simple searches such as '% of cam', but it's not normally necessary.

For general use with middle office truncation and right (for example "oracl %" or "% key ora") I would not use one of these options. Double truncation or truncation on the left ("% racl %" or "% scrapes") should be avoided as far as possible - use of the wildcard character to start without the option of substring will cause a full table scan on the index table $I to find all words that match, given that the index can not be used with a wildcard to start.

Hello.
I have a problem with the content of spam. Somewhere in the Fox appeared script that's choking me audio spam. Every 30 minutes he's playing an audio clip that is malicious. I can't find the settings as it eliminated. Now, I don't have any plug-ins and Add-ons strange that were not initially in the Fox, but the problem is there.
I use the Fox years. The problem, he had 1.5 months after Fox cleaning. If the problem can't win, I'll be forced to give up the browser, and I wouldn't.

Could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

• button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
• Help menu > restart with disabled modules

and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

Any improvement?

If the problem persists in Mode without failure, could reinstall you Firefox in this way:

Clean reinstall it

We use this name, but it isn't about deleting your settings, this is to ensure that the program, files are clean (not incompatible, corrupt or exotic code files). As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.

(1) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 38.0.5 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).

(2) close Firefox (if applicable).

(3) to rename the program folder, either:

(Windows 64-bit folder names)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

TO

C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox

(Windows 32-bit folder names)

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

TO

C:\Program Files\OldFirefox

(4) run the installer you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.

Any improvement?

Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:

• \OldFirefox\Plugins
• \OldFirefox\browser\plugins
