  I have the new xbox 360 and I try to play movies that are on my computer (XP media center). The xbox will open media center, see the video option, view the video file and the individual films & home made videos. When I select a file to look at, I get 'application error' and instructions for restart or contact the hardware vendor.
  I downloaded and installed the Center Media 11 and in the installer for the sharing of the xbox does not appear. I don't know what counts as the xbox to connect to my computer and I can see photos but no video.

• Cannot play flash videos in Firefox

  I am unable to play content flash facebook or CNN video. I use Firefox 31 and Flash 14.0.0.179 (32-bit) running Windows 7 Pro. I also have the 64-bit version installed for use with internet explore. These videos play fine in internet explorer but not in Firefox. Videos CNN stopped play in Firefox months ago and Facebook stopped in recent days.

  I started Firefox in safe mode, reset Firefox, uninstalled and reinstalled flash and uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of realplayer (found this suggestion online). So far, nothing worked.

  Just CNN videos freeze once the Player control bar appears at the bottom of the frame. Advertising plays, but it hangs at the start of the video of actual news.

  Facebook displays the thumbnail for the video (no AutoPlay as it does in IE will) and when you click it you get the pop-up window with the user comments for the right, but just a black square where has to play the video.

  If I right click and go to settings for flash, when I click on disable hardware acceleration, it reactivates it as soon as I click on close on the setting screen. When I return to the parameters of the box is checked again.

  In my opinion, the sound card is ok. You need only a MP3 for Windows Media Player codec. I use the Winamp application to play the Mp3 files. This very nice program, I m very happy. Try to install it and check if it of possible to read mp3.

• WMM6 do not play any video file

  I'm trying to burn a DVD with a slideshow of 11 minutes and 5 title slides.  The original slideshow is a .mov format.  FormatFactory ver3 to convert to wmv.  When the 11 min wmv file is imported into Windows Movie Maker 6, only 50 seconds to play.  The timer/counter shows he is still streaming, but the Visual remains frozen and the audio stops.  This is true even for a dvd burned from the file.  The burned DVD will load and play, but video and audio that freeze the counter continues.  The wmv file plays completely using windows media player, but I need to burn DVDs for this file. I have windows Vista.sp1
