The copy planning application

Hello

We currently use Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 version.

We have Hyperion Planning cubes that are used for the Hyperion Planning application. Users of forms of planning data.

We need to copy the current application the Prod at the UAT residing on different servers. any help in this... I'm new on OTN.

Thank you
Hans...

Hello

Initially, stop the service & can perform the steps - you can copy the application to the required tasks, you must migrate the services shared users/groups and put into service, migrate the planning application, rules to migrate, migrate data and objects required essbase.

See you soon,.

  • HOW TO CREATE A TYPE OF ASO ON THE EXISTING PLANNING APPLICATION

    Hello world

We run EPMA 11.1.2.4 and that you have configured hyperion planning application using EPMA interface, the requirement is:

    1. how to create a type of ASO on an existing planning application? and what are the steps on 11.1.2.4?

I would be very grateful if anyone in the community can help us

    Thank you

    Concerning

    Shahrukh

It all depends on if you are looking to the future as EPMA will die slowly, most of the new features is pushed to the classic, but I understand, it can be quite a big change.

If you are going to stick with EPMA then you should really create the ASO application in EPMA and try and use some features shared dimension to enjoy.

  • Can't see the workspace Planning Application?

I installed Hyperion Planning application example using the classic method in version 11.1.1.3, I has not installed the Performance Management Architecture, but I installed Workspace Hyperion, I see the sample application in http://localhost:8300 / HyperionPlanning, but if I use workspace, http://localhost:19000 / workspace, I see not the planning application of workspace administration? If I want to manage workspace Hyperion Planning, it seems I MUST also install Performance Management Architecture, is it good? Is there a way I can use the workspace to manage Hyperion planning without installing the BPMA?
    Thank you

    Hello

You don't have to install EPMA if you want classic landscaping and access it through the workspace.
It could be that you have not configured in the right order, it's pretty current, if you run the Configurator again, select Foundation > workspace > set up web server > ensure that the planning is enabled and is the name of the server appropriate, apply and it should reconfigure the server web apache.
You may need to restart the workspace services.

  • Question of the integrity of the data during the copy of application

    Hi people

I get the following error message when you copy of my application to another code. The same error occurs if I copy since in the generator, or export it and re - import using SQL Developer.

ORA-02091: transaction restored return ORA-02291: integrity (APEX_040100.WWV_FLOW_PAGE_DA_A_AR_FK) violated constraint - found parent key

I'm guessing that the DA is synonymous with dynamic action, which I did a lot of work on these days. Perhaps A is for stocks, but I don't see what could mean AR. affected Region? I wouldn't have missed clues if the error message mentioned the name or page number of the DA, the origin of the problem.

Y at - it anyway find out what could be causing the violation of referential integrity so that I can fix or remove? There are a lot of DAs in my application? I could start looking through those with actions that affect the regions, but if someone has a better idea, I'd love to hear it.

  • To use the Member in applications using EPMA in planning

    Hello

We use the EMP Version 11.1.2.1 and I created a Dimension of accounts and members below using EPMA and now I want to use a part of the members that I created in EPMA under dimension of accounts in one app and other members in second request? How can I achieve this?

    Ex: accounts
    A1
    A2
    A3
    A4

I want to use A1 and A2 in a planning Application and A3 A4 in the second planning Application.

    Kind regards
    A.S.

    A.S.,

You must create the accounts Dimension in the library shared of EPMA. Then add this dimension to your applications and in the dimensions of application pane in the Middle, right click on the Member or you want to exclude the hierarchies and choose to exclude members. Please keep in mind that if you do this at the parent level, its descendants will be also excluded. To see the members who are excluded, simply right-click on the dimension itself and choose Show excluded members.

Also check out the documentation here for more details...

  • How to synchronize a Prod in Dev planning application?

    Hello

I have a planning application in Dev ('X') which is now obsolete and is not synchronized to the top with the planning application in Prod ('Y'). X and that are the same applications that the names are different in the environments.

I want to know what is the best way to synchronize to the top of the 'X' planning application which is in dev with a planning application 'Y' which is in production to ensure that sound closer to production now? What are the things that I have to keep in mind while doing this?

If I had to use LCM for it is necessary that both applications should have the same name of application and database?

It would be really helpful if someone could suggest the best and effective to do and throw some light on this topic.

    Thank you
    -Krrish

If hypadmin is a native user and manually created it means that it has a different SID between environments, this value is stored in the HSP_USERS table, if it is the default Administrator account value does not, in any case.

Go to the base tables of data for the application in environment planning target and look at the HSP_USERS table, store the value of the SID 50001 user, if the user who created the app is the owner of the application, then the role should be 3

    Stop planning.

Copy the relational database from source to target, completely replace the existing one, how can depend on either the database Oracle or SQL Server, to be some drop/recreate/import

Go to the HSP_USERS table and update the SID of the user 50001 id you have stored as it will be updated by moving the relational database.

    Start planning

If everything is done correctly, you should be able to connect to the upsized planning application.

  • Can't see in the workspace planning

I have successfully installed and configured 11.1.2 under Windows 2003 R2. My problem is that when I go to workspace, I can't see the planning. I think that this is supposed to be under Descent-> applications-> planning. Here are the steps I took:

    I set up the Foundation.
Then I configured Essbase and planning.
I've reconfigured the Web server again.

The steps above have been successfully completed.

Check my services - they are all running. Even restarted the web planning application.

I also checked the logic blogs and newspapers of planning. Could not see anything in the mess, but is there something I'm supposed to be looking at?

The mistake that you pointed out-, it seems that your logical Web server is not connected. Have you started Web Logic Server for your project specific user? I'd take a peek at the logical Web administration Console. See if the planning is running it.

But I saw no Member who is in the metadata of the planning application. I think I did the right process to restore the appliction of planning.

So please advice/help me to restore the metadata in the new application

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

You must first create the empty application.
    Stop the planning service.
    Then drop/recreate the schema.
    Then import the .dmp
    Start the schedule service.

  • ODI and created from EPMA Planning Applications

    Dear all,

ODI can be used with planning applications created from EPMA or it can be used only with traditional applications?
    Your response is much appreciated.

    ARO
    ioGGo.

    Hello
Because the adapters supplied within ODI supports only the traditional planning applications, you can use ODI with the classic planning for the integration of metadata. This does not mean, however, that you cannot use ODI to feed metadata in in EPMA. You can load the metadata for the tables of the interface and automate integration using EPMA batch utility.
In addition, you can always use it for data extract & load as essbase is essbase whatever your application is classic or EPMA.

However, I must admit that it's more convenient to aid with the classic planning. Check out the blog of John Goodwin if you don't.

  • EPMA planning application migration: no synchronization with the provisioning of users

    Hi all
We are migrating Production applications to dev. We have a planning EPMA and Essbase application in both environments.
We migrated artifacts in the file system in PROD (Shared services, EPMA, planning, Essbase) and Reporting. We have copied and pasted into the folder what in DEV.
Then, we try to migrate objects in DEV file system applications. First of all we did successfully EPMA artifacts in the migration status report, and then we deployed the application in the planning without any error. (msg showing as synchronized deployment).
