  Initially, stop the service & can perform the steps - you can copy the application to the required tasks, you must migrate the services shared users/groups and put into service, migrate the planning application, rules to migrate, migrate data and objects required essbase.

  It all depends on if you are looking to the future as EPMA will die slowly, most of the new features is pushed to the classic, but I understand, it can be quite a big change.

  If you are going to stick with EPMA then you should really create the ASO application in EPMA and try and use some features shared dimension to enjoy.

• Can't see the workspace Planning Application?

  I installed Hyperion Planning application example using the classic method in version 11.1.1.3, I has not installed the Performance Management Architecture, but I installed Workspace Hyperion, I see the sample application in http://localhost:8300 / HyperionPlanning, but if I use workspace, http://localhost:19000 / workspace, I see not the planning application of workspace administration? If I want to manage workspace Hyperion Planning, it seems I MUST also install Performance Management Architecture, is it good? Is there a way I can use the workspace to manage Hyperion planning without installing the BPMA?

  You don't have to install EPMA if you want classic landscaping and access it through the workspace.
  It could be that you have not configured in the right order, it's pretty current, if you run the Configurator again, select Foundation > workspace > set up web server > ensure that the planning is enabled and is the name of the server appropriate, apply and it should reconfigure the server web apache.
  You may need to restart the workspace services.

  XE SUMMIT 4.2.5 11.2 theme 26.

  Im trying to produce a classic report that looks like a Bill... Letterhead at the top and several integrated areas separate table that contain a mixture of static text and retrieved data.

  No matter what I try, I can't get the embedded table borders appears...  The data presents itself, and its all formatted and aligned correctly, but not of borders.   Ive tried just about every report models...

  All of these attributes of table are obsolete and should be implemented using CSS instead (unless you need compatibility with IE6 and 7?).

  Tables (especially nested tables) may not necessarily be the way to do it in 2014. Can you put an illustration of the required provision?

  Best way to get help with this would be to create the required tables in the DB with appropriate apex.oracle.com sample data and share identification information of developer comments for the workspace, so we could work on a custom report template.

  Do you need to make this printable?

  What is the difference between classical planning and EPMA in terms of functionality. If we choose the EPMA, what are the additional benefits that we will get more classic?

  EPMA is really just an improved graphical interface for managing metadata, applications and data synchronizations.

  It is not the most stable piece of software in the 9.3.1 and my preference would be to conventional planning.

  I restore the planning application. In this process, I imported the. DMP file in the schema in the Oracle database and I created the new planning application and given the details of the schema in the data source for the new planning application management.

  You must first create the empty application.
  Stop the planning service.
  Then drop/recreate the schema.
  Then import the .dmp

• EMPA vs classical planning

  I'll put up another new project planning, we have 1000-10000 users, the data records will be charged by millions during the night. I use ODI-utility or a schema. We have only one project of planning. Although I use ODI, data will be transferred from RLDB to Essbase directly, even if I use the classic planning, I don't use the related adapter. I think to use the conventional planning, ODI does not work with EPMA, and data loading will be very slow if we use EPMA. The question is: we have too many users, and I don't know if there is a significant difference between the performance between the EMPA and the classic planning when we have a large number of users at the same time. Please advise and correct me, thank you!

  Hello

  Ignore the data side can be loaded directly into essbase, the number of users isn't really a classic problem of epma vs is more than a debate of the infrastructure, EPMA separated planning, users will still access planning and not EPMA except to say only a few who can manage hierarchies.
  As I said in your previous post about EPMA classic vs it can boil to how you want to manage your metadata, if your metadata (I hear by it's your hierarchies) are from a warehouse or need of transformation then classic and ODI may be the way, simple hierarchies may still be classic and managed by the contour loader.
  The performance at the moment with EPMA issue is if you attempt to load large hiearchies of files it can be slow.
  What I suggest, is to build a proof of concept or to become familiar with the EPMA, see if this is the product for you.
