The development of control Windows mouse pointer

Hello

Some time ago I followed quite unwisely someones suggestion to reset the home of Windows so that a window became active when the mouse pointer has moved into its frame without clicking. It was a big mistake, and I've not found a way to restore the normal state of windows.  Can someone help me?

Thank you

Hi again,

Strange within minutes of my question, I accidentally hit on the answer!  In the center of the "ease of access" Control Panel, under the heading "Make the mouse easier to use", there is an option "activate a window by hovering over it with a mouse.  That's obviously what I had been advised to try, but had forgotten.  Turn it off solved the problem!

Thunderbird automatically upgraded to 38.0.1, with some initial problems with incompatible lightning, as said elsewhere, but they were resolved automatically. Now, I have a problem that the main window is moved downwards by a white line, but Thunderbird acts as if she was OK, producing the effect of a calibrated mouse pointer. A message window, on the other hand, shows a black on the bottom and this line similar behavior. Similar things happen with other windows (e.g. Password Manager). If I restart in SafeMode (disabled all addons), everything is fine. If I manually disable all addons and restart, then it shows additional lines, as usual. Weird.

  • Lost information synchronization during the developer update

    11.11.14

Today Aurora updated to the new developer version, which is great! Except, lost all my synchronization information (bookmarks, modules, parameters, etc.). I tried to set up synchronization again and learned that there is a new version of synchronization in which you must create a new account. I created a new account, but that obviously not solve my problem because all my information sync disappeared once the update has been applied. I searched the forums and can't seem to find a solution.

I went to https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ to find an older version of Firefox to install, connect you to sync (old) in order to retrieve my information, then go to sync my new account, but I'm not sure how to navigate in this directory. Can someone help me find the installer for the latest version of Firefox just before the developer version for Windows 8.1? Or if you too have this problem or know of a fix for this, some tips would be much appreciated!

  • Jerky mouse pointer

Hi all. In the last two months, my mouse pointer has become "jerky" that I have pass through or up and down the screen. I described as moving as if I had Parkinson's, or as he was moving on the surface of the moon.
It is a Laser Mouse 6000 USB MS wired mouse.
I uninstalled the old drivers (6.3) and reinstalled the drivers again, (7.0) but no difference.

I dug an old (new in box) PS/2 mouse into my junk mail box and tried just to see how it worked... and the pointer move smooth like silk. It becomes very difficult to even click on links, like the pointer jump to avoid... and the game has become almost impossible. (cannot be in a 1st person shooter).

I had someone suggest that it may be a bad cable or a connection where the cable enters the mouse, but short he rocks, there is no way to solve the problems that.
I think it's out of warranty, (about 2 years), so I'm stuck with trying to solve this problem, or replace a mouse $ 45.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Thank you.

    BoomerD,
If this mouse is 2 years old and cleaning the optical lens has not helped, it goes bad and you need a new.  Depending on how much you use it, a mouse can last from a few months to a few years.  But if you use a lot, 2 years is a long life of a mouse.  Apparently it's a hardware problem, so it is not something we can do to help you.

  • Deleting the files from control 11 GR 2 OEL5 - strange behavior

    Hi all

I installed OEL5 on vmware WS9 and edition of Enterprize 11 GR 2 running.

I tried to simulate the loss and the eventual recovery of the control as file:

    1. Enter the parameter control_files

    NAMETYPEVALUE

2 remove the control file ' / u01/app/oracle/oradata/orcl/control04.ctl ' using the OS utility

-Ideally, as far as I KNOW from my reading, at this point the Forum should have crashed.

Instead, he continued on. I could even create a table and logfile after removal of the control file.

Journal Alerts had no enteries related to the loss of control until that point file.

  • Windows Vista starts with only a black screen with the mouse pointer.

Saturday, 02/27/10, I left my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1405 E) because I used Studio to produce a couple of videos.  When I got up in the morning, he himself had closed.  I tried to put on normally, and he said: recovery error windows, then on lists: Launch Startup Repair tool and start windows normally.  I tried to do a repair, but it just comes back to the same screen.  When I try to boot normally, it shows the progress on the background as usual bar, but then he comes up to a black screen with a mouse pointer.  When I run one of the many diagnostic tests, it is said that the BIOS cannot find the operating system loader.  I'm pretty adept at computers, but nothing I've tried before reinstalling Vista works.  I have files that I need to keep it on the computer, and only a few of them are saved.  Please help me soon, as I need for my school musical production on Thursday.

    Hello

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel
-Double click - Driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - device Manager - map - graph
then right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
is CTRL + ALT + DEL and the processes tab find EXPLORER.exe and END PROCESS on it.
then on the tab Applications - lower right - new task - the type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is
accessible by tapping F8 as you start several times.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

The mouse pointer moves beyond the screen to the right and is not visible, as if the office is extended beyond the edge of the screen. Open programs or programs visible on the taskbar sometimes will, when clicked on disappear too out there and then I can't get them on the screen where I can see. If I'm lucky I can get the pointer in the right spot and can drag the back window where I can see it.

I have a 22 "h - d lcd wide screen monitor. Are there settings that I need to adjust or what?

    Thank you

You have a second monitor or a television plugged into the video card? You will need to go into your control panel of the video driver and adjust it for a single screen.

You can also try the automatic adjustment of your monitors.

  • Windows XP crashes intermittently when stopping. Stuck on the screen with the default windows background color and the mouse pointer.

We are an OEM that systems of electronic Assembly is based, in our machine is a PC running Windows XP Professional that provides the interface for the operator. Some of our systems have begun to crash intermittently when stopping.  Up to now we have seen it on three machines.  There has been no change to hardware or drivers that we put on these machines.

The PC is supposed to stop at the point were he said "It is now turn off your computer", but it hangs when the only thing on the screen is the default windows background and the mouse pointer. The mouse moves, but that's all. He is unresponsive to ctrl-alt-delete, or any other entry.

This was reported 5 times, and in any case there's nothing in any log file which would tend to indicate where the problem is maybe.

I guess we have a bad driver or device, but the problem only happens once all stops of 5-10, and only after the machine is turned on for a while.

I just turned on the detailed status messages, but they did not stop the machine since.

What I asked is: is it possible to get windows to connect to all events stop? I really want to know what he was doing when he stopped.  Can someone else think something I can look at, or a better way to debug this?

Re: a suggestion on this new monitor to 'prove' is the source of the problem
Disconnect it, connect a type non-ecran touch "ordinary".
stop/restart in safe MODE, make sure that the old monitor is not appear in the Device Manager [what we used to call a ghost]
If it IS, delete it & uninstall the sw provided with touch screen
    Reboot in normal mode
    Try a stop

  • Screen goes black and only the mouse pointer visible to the windows xp screen

My computer has used to work without problems.  Now, when I start it upward, to the Windows XP start screen, the screen turns off and all that is visible is the mouse pointer.  I tried to start safe mode, and it does give me even the option - not even if I press F8 at startup upward.  What is the problem with my computer and what can do?

Thanks for your answers, Dena and Jojih.

The screen went black and all I could see was the mouse pointer.  There is no ameioration or changes on the hardware of all kinds.  I wonder if one of my employees has a virus on the computer.  I could not do in safe mode, even if I tried to press F8.  If I put in the Windows XP CD, the screen would go black after that he loaded the system files, just like at the start of Windows XP.  So I used Acronis PC Backup and Recovery and make a recovery disc and used to reformat the hard drive and then I reinstalled Windows XP.  Everything has been great to work for.
