The dv6429ea specification supports the "HP Atheros AR9280 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN mini PCI card"?

I mean, I want to change the map type Wireless 'G' for a type "N".

You have any advice?

Thank you very much.

Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01035677.PDF

Chapter 3 lists all cards supported wireless. I see no support for wireless since any N cards.

I don't see the BIOS updates that add support for any model of card N Wireless either.

Installation a unsupported card will cause the laptop does not cranking up what the card does not support is removed.

Shouldn't have came to me since I bought it?

    Hello

Say you the computer; Wireless normally comes with laptops, unless you buy a USB Dongle wireless or Wireless PCI Card for your desktop.

Get the drivers of the computer/laptop or a hardware manufacturer directly.

Here is a link to the page of the HP driver.

Enter your model number and then select the operating system to the appropriate drivers and latest.

    Hello

Found some details about this Intel WLan card on the page of Intel:
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/75439/Intel-dual-band-wireless-AC-7260

+ Board form factor: half a PCIe card Mini / m2 (NGFF).

As far as I know the WLan module that is built into the laptop supports Mini-PCI card format.
So, you have a miniPCI module.
But you should consider BIOS support. Not all wireless network cards could be supported by the BIOS.

    Thank you very much.

    Moral salvation

Well, in my opinion, you bought a bad wireless card. I don t think that your game can works with your device. Before you buy some hardware components, you need to check the compatibility of these parts. Toshiba service partners always have information about the units on the right. However, I found a wireless card that is compatible with your laptop. It's a PA3212U-1MPC.

I hope to fit a suitable Mini PCI card.

I am likely to find that an antenna is already installed?

I read the previous posts about the contacts of masking/insulation on the card wifi on this and other forums, so I'm ready for this problem when I get there.

I hope you can help, impatience of someone soon!

    Hello

The wireless network card is an option on this unit. It is possible to switch this unit with the WLan card. The WiFi antenna should already be included in the specifications.
The WLan pci slot, you will find at the bottom of the unit.
It s close to the slot of the modem.
However, I would recommend consultation with the user manual. There you should find more details.

  • Satellite Pro M10 - location of the mini-pci slot?

    Hello

I have a M10 Pro of the Satellite with a mini-PCI Intel Pro 2100. Now, I wanted to put in a new card, but I can't find the mini-pci slot? I opened all the way down, but there nothing. Where is it located and what is the best way to open the laptop? I guess a lot of screws must come out...

    Hello

Well, as far as I know the mini-PCI card is under the keyboard. In this case, you will need to remove the unit covers. But if you open Notepad, you will lose the warranty.
In my opinion, you should contact the ASP for help and detailed descriptions.

  • Installation of a missing mini PCI WiFi card in the Satellite 2450 101?

My Satellite s2450-101 seems devoid of a WiFi card.

There is no mention of such a card in the adapters in device Manager\Network, which lists the following three elements: 1) 1394 Net adapter MAC bridge Miniport) 2 and 3) Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet NIC

The laptop S2450-101 comes equipped with a mini PCI WiFi card in standard, or not?

If so, how can it be activated?

If it is not the case, how can we install such a mini-PCI card? The laptop is more two years and more under warranty.

    Sincere thanks.

    Hello

I found the info that this unit is ready WLAN and is attributed to the WLAN option in option. Check please the Device Manager and see if the wireless adapter is listed under network adapter. If this is not the case, the device is without wireless network card.

Let us know if the card is on board and we can write once again how the card must be activated.

I'm not 100% sure but I think that the WLAN slot is placed under the keyboard. There is also the antenna cables (black and white cable). Update is not a problem, and you can only do so at your own risk of course. ;)

Unfortunately I put t know exactly what WLAN card is compatible. If you want you can use the external solution. It is much easier.

  • Need advice for the purchase of a mini PCI Wireless

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba I bought nearly two years ago. This laptop has an Intel 2200BG wireless chipset, which works, but the quality of connection is quite low. Sometimes, the connection speed climbs, sometimes it falls in total. I tried all the updates driver, power management tips and everything that could be found on the net. Some of these help, but there is always something that doesn't work as it should.

Long story short, I decided to buy a mini pci wireless card. The problem is that these cards are nowhere to find. There is nothing on the Toshiba site, and apart from a few offers on eBay, there is almost nothing to choose. I know there are other options, but I prefer a mini pci card.

Can someone help me on this issue?

    Thank you

    Peter.

    Hi Peter

Can you please tell us which laptop model you have?

In any case, the network without WIRE Intel 2200BG card is good enough and works very well on my Satellite M70 (with the latest driver). Download speed is very good and I do not need a wireless network card. I don't know what is the problem with WLAN connection in your case, but please try to test with another router WLAN (maybe your friends have all other routers). Also, install the latest WLAN driver for this card.

  • S206: Is the slot mini-PCIe for Wi - Fi adapters landlocked in the BIOS?

    Hello

My good old Ideapad S206 had good enough Wi - Fi problems since I bought it. Basically, the reception is extremely unstable, and it is a problem when the "net" part in "netbook" does not work properly, is it not?

I tried to date/replace the driver for the card, but I am led to the conclusion that I should try to replace my network card.

The steps to remove the mini-PCIe card is well documented in the hardware Maintenance Manual, which is really awesome. The map is easy to access, remove and change.

However, I have a question: is there a form any 'BIOS-lock' on the network cards on this line of netbooks? In other words, I can use any network adapter from mini-PCIe instead of the original one, or is there some kind of white list in the BIOS that prevents the user to install one Wi - Fi card other than the original one? (because if there is a BIOS-lock, there is no point to spend money on another adapter that would still work)

Thank you very much for your help!

    Hello!

Here's a quick Heads up on this subject: I finally decided to take a chance and changed the original network card with an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus. I'm happy to say it works like a charm! The reception of the network is much better, and I can get a stable WiFi signal at home, that was impossible before.

I still don't know if there is a whitelist located anywhere in the BIOS, but what I do know, is that you can replace the factory network card with an Intel mini-PCIe trouble-free model. Useful information for users of Ideapad S206 someday perhaps...

    So, problem solved!

  • R310 Dell: What do the unknown fans with PCIe cards?

    Hello

I'm looking to replace my aging modified PE2950 gen 3 with a server that is more effective, while maintaining 2 power PCIe slots.

My use case is not particularly normal in that it's for a home installation and the server will be install re-usable to serve my ad and TVServer for home.  Therefore, I need to be able to add two DVB - S2 cards on the chassis to receive satellite service.

I know that with some other manufacturers, installation unknown PCIe cards cause their fans go nuts as they assume that the maps are overheated.  How Dell servers in this situation, in particular the R310?  The R310 seems to satisfy all my needs and I think it would be perfect.

In addition, until I removed the Perc 6 / I of my R410 it was quite noisy, how the R310 Dell price for the fan noise?  The system, with all remains will be in the basement in a rack Assembly away from the living areas. I think I could deal with what up to all about 60dba but especially because it would be too noisy... I understand that 1u rack systems are not designed to be quiet around but a few real comments here would be great.

Any help that you can provide, or direction is appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Chris

    Hello

    Bernos
I know that with some other manufacturers, installation unknown PCIe cards cause their fans go nuts as they assume that the maps are overheated.  How Dell servers in this situation, in particular the R310?

PCIe cards unknown/3 rd party causes servers 13 g and likely all generations run fans to its maximum SPEED, regardless of the temperature. To my knowledge, it is new with our servers to 13g. I don't think previous generations like 11g detected what exactly was settled in the PCIe slots. They changed fan thresholds based on whether or not the slots have been filled not based not what was in the slot.

I can't say with certainty what will be the decibels. We do not have a list of all the possible configurations and the decibels. The highest specified configuration in my Datasheet does not include additional PCIe cards, but the dBA listed under stress with this population is 43. I can't guarantee that the system will operate less than 60 dBA, but I suspect that it will do so.

    Thank you

  • Satellite L10-204 does support mini PCI slot?

    Hello, all.
In a first time - sorry for my English ;-)
I would like to install a wireless card and I don't know if my computer (Toshiba Satellite L10-204) have a mini PCI slot? I prefer the mini PCI card PCMCIA card, because in my opinion, they are better in some aspects.
    DRM for me, cheers!

    Hmm? ¦ bad news man.
The wireless card is not available on this laptop and it cannot be upgraded too.
This means that WLan minPCI slot is not present.

You will need to switch to an external solution. Maybe an external USB WiFi key is an option for you. If this isn't the case, then you can use the PCMCIA WLan card!

Bill supposed to first Pro CC (not CS6) response. Windows of Premiere Pro CS6 version does not support OpenCL for accelerating GPU of MPE. Therefore, there is no "opencl_supported_cards.txt" file in the folder of Premiere Pro, and the code to OpenCL is disabled permanently in all versions of Windows from Premiere Pro CS6. So, for your over-pants M6100 Premiere Pro CS6 will be permanently locked to only software MPE mode.
