the expected time to complete an ibwrite.

I have a question about the "scheduled" to complete a call to ibwrite.

Here is a code snippet... This code works well but the question I have is regarding the time required to complete the call.

Synchronization of data below were collected with a HP XW8600-dual NI488.2 installed RedHat (RHEL) 5.1 running. with the NOR-488 driver. 2 2.5 - Linux - Beta 32 Bit with gcc 4.3.3.

I would be very interested in someone elses performance on Win32/Linux platforms with OR and/or 3rd third-party drivers.

Code snippet that produces this chronology...

Note the mIEEE488SpirentGPS.dataToWriteOut variable is a string that is approximately 200 characters in length.

case IEEE_488_IBWRT:

Start the timer of Scripture
StartTimer (2, writeCaseTimerName);   From a timer (0.6us to start/stop)

write data to GPIB
If (( State = ibwrt (mIEEE488SpirentGPS.unitDescriptor,
(char *) mIEEE488SpirentGPS.dataToWriteOut;
(mIEEE488SpirentGPS.writeCount)) & ERR)
{
Place the error message error parameter member & error report to user
HandleIbwrtError (SPIRENT_GPS_BOARD_IDENTIFIER, status,

(char *) mIEEE488SpirentGPS.dataToWriteOut;
fileAndFunctionName,

(char*) mIEEE488SpirentGPS.errorMessage);
break;
}

stop the timer of Scripture
StopTimer (2);  / / Stop timer (0.6us to start/stop)

Here is the timer data reception after the race...

Note an avg, min, max 38.9ms, 1.4ms and one time 67.6ms (respectively) to complete a call to ibwrite.

See below for a histogram of time call...

# data min/avg/max timer to timer (2) #.
Name of the controller: IEEE_488_B_Local::RealTimeSpirentGPSTask - case of writing
Average loop time (seconds): 0.038902582920
Minimum a loop of time (seconds): 0.001380000000
Maximum time (seconds) a loop: 0.067578000000

Average rate for power supply of real-time loop: 25,705234 Hz
Number of loops: 1007
Error occurred in StartTimer: false
Error occurred in StartTimer: false

The histogram data indicate that 999 calls (excluding 1007) took between 10-50 ms and

8 answered calls between 50-100 ms with the worst case being 67.6ms.

All of this is consistent however, it is far too slow for the rate of update scheduled to this unit.

Are these results compatible with other peoples experience/timing on other platforms?

I need to have a time worse case of 3ms (with margin 1ms) in order to achieve a rate of 250 Hz message. Any comments or suggestions are welcome...

I should move to scramnet?  This is my only other option for this device.

Ben,

Thank you... when we did our development/calendar tests last week that we were using a power supply HP as a peripheral 'stand' for the real device and apparently feeds are very slow to respond...

We tested with the real device today and all of the ibwrt were completed in sub 70us... .This is much better than the 68ms I get with food.

This is the moment I was expecting...

We tried the test controller controller and which gave results simular with the worst case of ~ 66us.

Thanks for the help...

    Memo

    Hi Memo

Not sure I've ever seen it 2-3 seconds (past), and I worked on some sites with substantial material.

    40 seconds isn't too bad.

Also consider this. If it's the first payroll run for an assignment given in the tax year then there will be a certain amount of overhead recovery with initialization balance etc. This is true for pay normal works as well - the first run in a new tax year will have a more runtime due to the way in which the dimensions of assessment of the tax year are 'reset' etc.

Most people would probably not use Express to treat someone through several consecutive periods of treatment, but if you have a test/development environment you might run your first Express for an assignment and then move on to the next pay period and run a later Express. I expect there will be an improvement in the run for the second time (assuming that its still in the same tax year :))

    Hallo,

I need to create a fragment like page2create.jsff in this picture http://digilander.libero.it/flattit82/OTN_FILES/TotalCommRoll.png

You kindly could give me some advice on how to achieve the result shown in the picture?

Could you a panel tabs help keep the 3 sections on the same page and making it simpler handling of commit / rollback as requested?

    Thank you

    Federico

    Hello

Yes, you can use panelTabbed to create this type of layout and for the handling of commit or rollback

    1. If you want to commit and a rollback for all 3 tabs then place these buttons (Commit and Rollback) outside panelTabbed and allow the creation, update and deletion on all tabs at the same time, after completing the user operation can use commit or rollback for all tabs

    2. If you want to commit separate and operation of catering for the different tab, then create and modify mode disable other tabs except the active tab, and only after a commit or rollback in the current tab allow the user to navigate to the different tab

  • Define the expected in agent FTR ASP.

    Hi all

Does this really matter to 'Wait time' in his FTR Asp agent? When we have a lot of scripts monitored under an agent such as say 14,15 + ftr scripts?

    Let me know

    Thank you

It is normal to set the time expected in the FTR Agent FSA to zero.

This causes the agent uses the expected time calculated when the FTR script was published.

The best practice is to use these measured should time rather than configuring a substitution in the agent RDFS properties.

  • Creating a rule entry time custom to read the start time and the stop as entry time

    Hello world

I hope this is the right forum to post this question.
We are putting in place the time and work package, and we need to write a few rules of the time for this entry.

The first of them is to have a rule that validates the start time and the stop time has entered the entry-level feature Self Service scorecard.
So, I created a formula to achieve this objective. This formula eventually calls a PL/SQL function that checks for card points, the Start and Stop time values stored in the database.

However, this is not what I intend to achieve. What I have to do is to get the value of time as she walked and apply the Validation

    This expansion in a scenario:

    1. the employee connects via the Self Service and access the timesheet feature to make a time entry
    2. on August 20, he entered 13:00 as the start time and stop time 20:00
    3. click on the button

When he clicks on the button Save, (assume 20:00 is an incorrect time), an error message should be displayed to the user informing him of this

    ----------------
Now, I have to spend the early hour 13:00 and the 20:00 in the formula stop time so that I can post it.
This is where I run on issues that I don't know how to get these start and stop within the formula time

Grateful if someone could help with this.
It's quite urgent given the lead times for completion on that.

    Thks in advance folks
    Ravi

    l_timecard_info: = hxc_self_service_time_deposit.get_building_blocks;
    l_building_block_attr_info: = hxc_self_service_time_deposit.get_block_attributes;

However, I do not understand this:
If there are no parameters that are passed to these calls, then how the correct score card to be recognizable? I'm assuming that there is something like a Timecard_Id or setting Timecard_Ovn that allows to identify the correct sheet when reading this info.

Pls advise me on this point, because I'm just not understand this bit.

You do not need to pass all parameters. The overall picture of pl/sql is filled for the session before the rule of time entry. If you want to restrict, the formula will be an id_ressource of entry which is an employee self-service Person_Id. and compare this value against id_ressource in l_timecard_info.resource_id

If this isn't an inconvenience for you, I want to understand how these function calls to keep the start time and stop time, and to access these variables, I would need to loop as a table through?

The l_time_card_info of pl/sql table is filled exactly the same as how is stored in HXC_TIME_BUILDING_BLOCKS when save is saved / submitted. It's just that the pl/sql is here filled.

You can update your Chipset drivers and see if that helps.

Chipset drivers are responsible for controlling the communication between the various components of your system: processor, video card, hard drives, PCI devices and system memory. Is especially important if you experience usually slow system performance, keep these drivers up to date.

Visit the website of the manufacturer of your motherboard to determine what type of chipset your motherboard has and where you can find the most recent drivers for it.

  • How the expected wait time is scripted?

    Hello

Can someone tell me what controls are needed and where they should be placed in a script and what variables I need to create if everything for a very basic should expect a time?

I looked at previous assignments and I'm not. The only control I see that would be necessary is to get statistical reporting, but I know not where to put it or how to play people in the queue the message of what the expected wait time is.

    Please advise,

    Thank you

    Chuck

You can use the step get statistical Reporting to fetch the expected waiting time (in this step, the "line identifier" parameter is interested in the CSQ).

The expected wait time is in seconds, so you can convert this to minutes and then use a series of guests as well as a "create generated Prompt" to announce the waiting time.

Take a look at these messages in previous discussions:

    Hey tiggerer

NeoSmart is software startup repair not a recovery disk to reinstall vista

and once you have replaced your hard disk you have lost the ability to do the recovery disk from the recovery partition that may have been defective hard disk

and it depends on your version of vista as to whether you can now make a backup complete pc using microsoft software

you need vista business or vista ultimate to backup full pc

read information from microsoft about it at the link below microsoft

  • Windows 7 Task Scheduler is not wake the portable computer at the scheduled time

Instead of stopping my laptop, I put it to sleep at night. Later, the laptop is expected to execute the sequence of tasks scheduled in my windows-7:

    1. 04:00, run a task "A". To perform this task, the laptop awakens from his sleep because "task" was to "wake the computer to run this task" activated.
    2. 05:06, Hibernate (not to be confused with sleep) the laptop by running the command "rundll32.exe powrprof.dll, SetSuspendState 0,0,0.
    3. 05:30, running a "task B". To perform this task, the laptop is supposed to wake up from hibernation, because this "task B" has also the "wake the computer to run this task" activated.

    The problem:

Faithfully, the laptop awakens from his sleep at 04:00 to run "task A". However, it is not always faithful to wake up from hibernation at 05:30. 3 days (April 13), he stood at 05:46 instead of 05:30. Today, he was not awake to the top even by 06:05!

Then, there are following around this interesting phenomenon :

    1. Today at 06:05, when I found that the cell had not awakened, I checked if the food was THERE... it wasn't. As soon as I turned on the power, he automatically stood. When he awoke, he showed that the battery is charged to 64%! Which implies, my manual operation of switches WE supply should not have been necessary in the first place!

Earlier, on 13 April, however, no manual intervention of any kind has happened and the computer had its power supply IT throughout the night. Yet he stood AFTER the scheduled time.

    2. Then, this Act of waking from hibernation after the scheduled time is fascinating to me. From my point of view, the computer must either wake up on time, or it does not wake up at all because I chose NEITHER option "Run task as soon as possible after a regular check is not respected" , OR the ' if the task fails, restart every ' option.

Here, I would like to bring a few details & confirmations:

    1. There is no defect in the backup provided by the battery of my laptop because it provides a safe backup for about 2 to 3 hours. Even if I'm typing this message, actually on battery, not on a current area of my laptop power supply.
    2. I usually leave the computer power mobile power during the night as a precaution against the batteries running out of power. Even on 13 April, it was YOU. Last night was the first exception to this regime, which began 21 days ago.
    3. I don't have either the "start the task only if the computer is powered" or the "Stop if the computer switches to battery power" options enabled for a task planned in question.
    4. I also have the advanced power settings "allow wake timers" is set to enable for "on battery" and "Plugged In".

So, I have the following questions:

    1. Why computer faithfully to wake up from its sleep, but not as faithfully to wake up from hibernation?
    2. The State of food plays a role any in this Act of waking from hibernation? Does it matter if the computer is on battery or plugged when waking up when "start it the task if the computer is powered" or the option "stop if the computer switches to battery power" enabled?
    3. Finally, what can I do to correct this erratic behavior?

Right - a scheduled task cannot be configured to wake the system from hibernation.

In the properties of the task, the Condition is "wake the computer to run this task":

The key words here are "Wake" and "Sleep".

When your system is in sleep, he is still able to get a stimulus like a click of the mouse or keyboard stroke to wake up or a scheduled task to wake him up.

The only way you can be awakened, it's if you sleep - you cannot be reactivated if you are hibernating (aka powered off completely = death).

You cannot use a ST to wake the computer after Hibernation.

You might be able to set an option in the BIOS to power the system at some point and have then an era channel a few minutes after this date.

You may be able to configure your router to send a WOL packet (wake on LAN) to the system to a point and then have an era handle a few minutes after that date.

    Useless answers?

Some often banned users has some good tips:

Ignore responses that begin with the words "Hi" or "Hello" contain methods and steps, ignore phrases that start with the word 'try' and responses that end with the words "check if it helps" you can save yourself a lot of time and frustration.

    Hello

If you received a blue error screen, or a stop code, the computer stopped abruptly to protect against data loss. A hardware device, its driver or software might have caused this error.

Control bug 0 x 101: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT-This indicates that an interruption of clock expected on a secondary processor in a multiprocessor system, has not received in the allotted interval.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • Workflow fails on the wait Timer

I have a created workflow that generates a snapshot of a VM, notifies the user by e-mail that the snapshot was created, and then going into a timer waiting for a period of 2 weeks before checking if the snapshot still exists and to notify the user that they must remove the snapshot. So buckle up every day notify the user that the snapshot should be removed until the snapshot no longer exists.

For most of the time, the workflow works as expected, however, I find that one or two workflow running fails from time to time. The schema of the execution of workflow shows workflow failed on the timer standby (which I checked has a valid date/time value assigned to the input of energy). When I view the events for the workflow, it has 3 events, Workflow has started, workflow is suspended and Workflow failed. When you select the workflow does not event, the description is "Workflow has been issued by a task, the workflow runtime does not be resumed" (I guess that 'being' = 'summer' in the message). In addition, when the workflow fails, it never runs the exception workflow that is configured to send me an email notification with the information of errors/exceptions.

Does anyone have ideas, what could be causing this failure? I noticed that the failure occurs most often after that the Orchestrator function has been restarted.

    Hello

In fact, the behavior you observe is not random and should somehow. Currently all the workflows that are opened by an i.e., scheduled task are not included on the reboot of the server. The centre of the spot is responsible. The reason is that it could happen that such a workflow can be started at the same time to resume from the point it was suspended and centre/Task Manager. So, if the workflow should he resume the server restarts.
Other hand the reboot of the server, the Task Manager will hold the following logic:
1.1 if it is a recurrent task task manager will calculate the next execution time and is scheduled to run.
1.2 If the task is not recurrent, i.e. it is a one time task there are two options:
1.2.1 the execution time is not spent - then the task is scheduled for execution.
1.2.2 the execution time already - spent, we will in two other options:
1.2.2.1 the task has been configured on "Start if scheduled in the past" and has not yet been completed - the task is scheduled to run once.
1.2.2.2 the task has been configured for "do not start if scheduled in the past ', or is already completed - the task ends with error and the workflow will not be executed.

I guess in your case, the workflow is scheduled (started from a task) and that's why he is unable to return to restart the server. If the workflow is not recurring to work around the problem, you can configure the task scheduled as "Start" If in the past You can do this with access from the client to the Scheduler->-> Edit (photo attached). This will lead to the execution of the workflow from the beginning on the reboot of the server if the workflow has already been launched but was not complete or suspended in the middle.

    Kind regards
