Ntkrnlpa.exe repeated original BSoD problem

Hi all

I recently got a laptop Toshiba Satellite by a customer who complained only that he had "taken a turn for the worse. After playing with him for a few minutes, it was not long to bluescreen. What was fascinating, however, is that the system was unable to display anything on the screen when he stopped. There was a little blue at the bottom of the screen and a lot of pixels turn random colors.
In any case, after rooting around the internet looking for what exactly ntkrnlpa.exe can do to cause a blue screen, I found a forum thread that says a rogue pilot could be the problem and that it is just to show up in the landfill as ntkrnlpa.exe. Remembering the glitches I've seen to every BSoD (except 1), I decided to download and install new graphics drivers. (The card is an ATI Mobility Radeon 3100) After that new drivers have been installed, I rebooted, launched Google Chrome, browsed Internet for a while and was greeted with an another BSoD. To be honest, I don't have never seen anything quite like this since I've been working on computers, and I'm stumped. I have this vague feeling that it may be a problem with the hardware for the following reasons:
  • The machine is from 2006-07.
  • The machine runs very hot even on a granite surface.
  • Even with the new graphics drivers, it cannot correctly display the blue screen error screen.
Help? Thank you!

EDIT: I can't get files to dump the machine since I'm working on a permissions problem, but I'll put the important information below (from BlueScreenView)

Altogether.  I suspect that it's symantec and it is much easier to remove (in most cases).  Some people are adamant about not removing it so I give the possibility of driver verifier.

Symantec is a common cause of BSOD.  I remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials at LEAST FOR TESTER

What's more troubling, it is that, after the recent BSOD many of the setting to my programs have been reset for example parameter System Explorer were now rest at their default value.

I don't think it's a virus problem that I ran three antivirus with MSE scans today and they are all clean.

  • BSOD and the only file that appears is ntkrnlpa.exe when you play Metal Gear Rising

So it's a bit complicated to explain especially because I downloaded Bluescreenview and the only file that appears is ntkrnlpa.exe and happens when I play Metal Gear Rising statement, which is a CPU intensive game, I thought it was because it was overheating and/or die but I downloaded Core Temp to monitor if my fan work and the max temp it reached is 65 degrees celsius so I can't find the problem, it happens randomly, once I could play 2 hours withouth a BSOD and the following 5 minutes, I also tried to reinstall but nothing happened, I only overclock my Gpu, my cpu is a pretty old 1.8 ghz dual core but it can still run any game well enough, I also tried the option veryfier.exe which led to my computer crash at startup , so I had to disable using safe mode, and it was down deamon tools, is my failing processor or windows give up and I need to reinstall?

Thanks for the help, the game does not cause me a BSOD since I've updated PCI sound card drivers which I didn't at first because the site is in a mixture of Japanese and really bad English.

  • BSOD Vista caused by Ntkrnlpa.exe Ntfs.Sys, random hal.dll, etc..

A friend of mine gave me this computer about 2 or 3 months without a hard drive, thanks to a little research because I am not a professional of any kind, I knew that, because of the lack of a disk hard computer did not have an operating system. Having had an old computer just sitting with a 60 GB hard drive I connected on the computer I have now. After buying a new installation of Windows Vista Service Pack 2 disc, just well installed on the hard drive (which has been formatted to remove the old operating system, and all other things potentially buggy) and the computer has given new life. Following these time immediately, I downloaded and installed Microsoft security Essentials to protect my computer and a few other things to Rainmeter, steam, and that's it. Not even which in fact through the first day, however it has begun its random cycle without blue screening end who, after looking hard and troubleshooting, I've yet to find a solution for. Especially, it occurs whenever trying to read a chart highlighting / demanding the game, but also random triggers when nothing works and it's just sitting here. Ironically, I am writing this issue on the same computer in the hope I can find a fix to the Microsoft community.

He still run Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (32-bit) and my computer is a PC of Compaq Presario SR5710Y so that you know what the material consists of.

    Hello

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

Updated drivers, BIOS and software control (if any) is a good idea.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - reset after each
    installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
    manually if you wish.

If a PC remove ALL power and reinstall the cards memory and cables (at both ends where possible)
-in fact, remove and replace - do not just tight. Clean the dust bunnies and ensure that the

Avast - home - free - 5.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - home - free small, fast, exceptional protection CLOUD, working with other security
programs. It is a single scanner, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something come back here
or use Google to see how to remove.

    PCmag - Prevx - Editor's choice

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever think malware and that
would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie
(not much), to UPDATE and then run it as a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they
never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

    I hope this helps.

  • Issue of games - exe has encountered a problem and needs to close

    Hello world

I was wondering if there was someone out there who could help me.

I can load a game on my laptop (demanding nothing, just football coach) but when I then open the game when loading I get the following message

"(whatever_the_game_is).exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." We are sorry for the inconvience.

Can anyone recommend a way to resolve this?

    Thanks in advance

    Rich

    Hi Rich

    Using original or copy?

  • Re: BSOD problem was detected on the Satellite L40 - 14N

    Hello

have been unable to fix a fault on my laptop. BSOD problem has been detected and windows has shut down. I was told by someone that this was resolved when they replaced their hard drive.

Could someone tell me what hard drive I need to get?
Once I have to get one and put it in the machine should it restarts just using the system recovery disk, because it is what I have provided with or will it get other new software?

I hope someone can help. Really lost without a laptop!

    Hello Netties

Please do not be angry on me, but I do not understand why you start the second wire on the same issue. All this can be clarified on your original on this BSOD problem thread.

In any case, if you have a warranty valid, please don't spend your money for the new hardware before clarify you this with maintainer authorized Toshiba. Maybe you are right on HARD drive, but please first check with the ASP.

  • 0xc000000f \Windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe kernel is missing or corrupt - windows server 2008 r2

After restoring the Windows partition boot flag, I got:

    0xc000000f

    \Windows\system32\ntkrnlpa.exe

    kernel is missing or damaged.

I use Windows Server 2008 R2 installed on 70 GB primary partition & active with appropriate MBR.  It is not the consumer - it is installed on the laptop.  After the repair broken BCD (Windows 7 installation DVD, DVD server doesn't have this tool :() this problem.) I know that this (ntkrnlpa.exe) file does not exist, and it should not. System could not start any mode (even Safe Mode base).

The disc is perhaps the problem because PARAGON Hard Disk Manager 2011 has problems with the editing of this partition but it it sails well (as other tools). The files seems good. Also, CHKDSK has not found no serious problems such as bad sectors - it fixed only tiny problems.

    What should I do?

  • dmwu.exe has encountered a problem and forced to close.

All the minutes I get dmwu.exe has encountered a problem and forced to close. I updated Trend micro antivirus and it found nothing. The problem has been ongoing for more than a day and malwarebites, error-checking systems, and analysis updated antivirus cannot find a problem / fix.

The problem is Google Chrome, some parts of it have been either damaged or corrupted or maybe even deleted by me at some point. Chrome could not save my settings and I found in the settings there is a box you click so it does not run in the background even if Chrome is not actively open.

In any case, I re-installed Chrome and the message stopped since then. The computer works perfectly now.
Thanks for your help. It really helped me refine the possible culprits, the origin of the problem.
  • Installation of QuickBooks 2012 gives the error "set.up.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."

I try to install new software Quickbooks 2012 on the computer that is running Windows XP. The installation will start and get error "set.up.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." I spoke with Quickbooks technical support on this issue, but they have been unable to solve the problem. I have read several of these posts on this forum about this kind of mistake, but none seem to be directly related to my situation. I plan to try to reload the Windows XP operating system, but unfortunately, the CD is missing. I'd appreciate any help that anyone could have.

    original title: setup.exe error

    Hi Bill Gammon,.

You can go ahead and try the suggestions and if the problem persists then I you suggest to run the Microsoft Fixit and then try to install Quickbooks 2012.
