the guides do not snap to point or grid

Hello

I use illustrator cc.

I have a problem with my guides. For example, I'm trying to align objects by using guides. Whenever I drag a marker and place it exactly on the line of the object, it can't stay here, it jumps a bit far... really frustrating... I can't use the tool of alignment for this task.

It is the same with or without snap, grid, etc. enabled.

Help please?

Thank you!

Hello starco33

This also happens when I work on web files,

If you open you document as web file, adobe Illustrator use pixels

to rearrange objects that is why sometimes that it does not correctly line up on the grid.

It does not frustrate me but if you do, when you open a new file (file > new > web file)

You can click on the ticker little next to advance, and when he opens

You can uncheck the (object pixel grid alignment), or you can make the higher pixelation effect which is not preferred for the web.

  • align the guides are not properly

    Yesterday my guides stopped lining up properly. I can always use my alignment and distribute spacing for objects tools I've drawn on the artboard, but if I try to use the guides, the guides just go to random places way way way outside the artboard. The object remains in the same place. It happens on all files, that I opened. I did an update. I turned everything off and on again. I erased guides. None of my colleagues have seen this happen. I can work around it, I guess, but I regularly use my guides and it will be difficult to change my workflow to work around their use is no longer.

    Anyone know what is happening?

    Thank you

    I fixed it. Limits overview 'use' was checked in the pull down menu in the window of the alignment. I have disabled and are back to normal. I don't know how he checked in the first place. I searched through old forums and found this suggestion. Thanks for everyone to research.

  • Do not snap to point

    Oohhhhhh, really frustrated here!

    I have two lines and I'm keen to the end of the single-track point to align on the other line endpoint. I moved the end point to exactly where the other is, but instead of slamming correctly at the end it comes out if snaps on 0.5px away from him - there is no way I can get it to align correctly unless he decides to walk away.

    Any ideas?

  • Will not erase the guides!

    Hi, I know that sounds stupid, but I can't delete individual guides simply by dragging them in the rule and they are not locked! is this a known issue?

    Andy

    Hello

    Seems that the guide is not removed by drag - move to the area of the rule if the scroll bar is not at its top/left position the most. To work around this problem, please perform zoom to a level where the scroll bars disappear to remove a specific guide by sliding onto the area of the rule.

    Hope that helps.

  • The Smart Guides do not work

    My smart guides do not work. Since I loaded CS5, they did not work. If you go to view > grids and Guides > smart guides are grey.

    So if you go to control panel > Display Options, the guides are not grey out, that they are verified.

    I looked around and read trying to figure out whats up with these guides, but have not found anything works. I also uninstalled InDesign and reinstalled. This stall was not working.

    If anyone has an idea why or how to get the guides to work it would be great.

  • The object anchor points will not snap

    Hi all

    So, recently I noticed something in my illustrator, which I think is just the settings option.

    What's happening: when I use as race 8 on my items and I try to use the pen tool to add a few points, the anchor point objects, they simply do not snap.

    Like the image below:

    When I try to align these one, it moves a little further.

    Does anyone know how can I fix?

    PS: Sorry for my bad English tho.

    Andrée,

    In such cases, the first assumption is aligned to the pixel grid.

    You can select the entire document and untick finally align on the pixel grid in the Transform palette and uncheck also align new objects to the pixel grid in the options of the Launcher. It is crucial that the checkbox is disabled completely, not just a - which also count as ticked.

    It may be noted that even align with the pixel grid is cleared with all the selected objects, align new objects to the pixel grid is checked as the creation of new objects will result in these new objects being aligned, even when they are created from existing objects that can happen with Pathfinder operations.

    You can avoid the types of documents with the default (RGB for the web and other) or change the default value for such documents.

    What is happening with the Illustrator CC 2014! Are you sure that you select the path, not the guid?

    Maybe it's time to look at the list.

    The following is a general list of things you can try when the question is not in a specific file (you tried/made some of them already). 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

    (1) close Illy and open again.

    (2) restart the computer (you can do that up to 3 times);

    (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

    4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

    5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

    Even worse, you can:

    (6) uninstall, run the vacuum cleaner tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and then reinstall.

  • Snap to guides is not working properly in CS5

    Hey guys,.

    I tried to quickly align a couple of short sentences to a horizontal guide, but when I drag each text, layer some alignment, others not. Needless to say, Snap is enabled for the guides.

    Is this a known bug in CS5, or have I forgotten something important?

    Best regards

    Mr.Waltz

    Sometimes it gets confusing where the alignment feature is if you have other elements of magnetism checked.

    Try to uncheck the layers and the limits of the Document under the view-wink at.

    If this does not help, cs5 is updated at 12.04 or use 12.1?
