  The toolbars are still on display in your browser?

  If you still have the address bar, right click on any part that is not a text box or the icon, or if you do not like that of any space right click on the three horizontal lines on the right side of the address bar window. This should show some options, click on 'Menu Bar' and the tabs you are missing should appear.

  As a side note, usually if these options are missing, your icon of firefox in the upper left corner of the window should look different (being a rectangular button itself as opposed to an icon), and the 'file', 'Edition', 'Bookmarks', etc., are found after clicking on this button.

  Manually back up your bookmarks. If you have used the 'import', you have already lost some information by overwriting. As a matter of course you should always save current bookmarks manually before using any restorations.

Fortunately Windows probably backup previous versions of your files places.sqlite and this is the database with the history and bookmarks in it. See if you can recover a recent version of this, it will restore your story up to the date of the restored file.

Another I don't think that there is no history, that you can get. All you can see is a current list of those you follow and you allowed to follow you.
