the HP pavilion a6567c bios error

Today, I installed the latest bios for my hp Pavilion. I followed the instructions but after I restarted it would give error 0x7B with which I figured out ways my bios is damaged. I would like to know if I can reinstall my bios or what I can do to fix the error.
Thank you

SID, you can certainly replace the motherboard.  However, if you can't find the exact motherboard, you should ensure that you confirm that the connectors are compatible with your components and case.

    I have a HP Pavilion a6560z. Product #: KZ851AV

I tried to upgrade the processor of double base installed to a phenom x 4 9550, that my research shows is compatible as long as I have updated the bios. I am currently running bios version 5.14 20/06/2008. My problem is the OS original on this PC is Vista, I erased this OS and now run Win 7. I found an update of bios, version 5.49 but she said do not be there except if Vista is installed. Will install this bios brick Council since its desingned for vista?

I can't enter the bios with the 9550 installed but it does not start in windows. The bios shows that it is a blah blah Phenom quad core, so at least he acknowledges that, but when I try to load windows it says "the file is maybe damaged. The file header checksum does not match the checksum calculated. "I read that had a memory problem and tried 8 different sticks, all with the same result, so I thought it was a bios problem. Anyway, any help on a version of bios, I can try without bricking advice would be greatly appreciated. Even if its for Vista that I am always willing to try. This pc is not much of value. Thank you.

    You are welcome.

Thanks for the quick response. Last question, if I could somehow reinstall Vista (system recovery is not an option) and then perform the bios update I was able to install windows 7 and then continue with the new (er) cpu?

I checked the page download software & driver of the computer for an update of the BIOS for Vista and Vista 64-bit.  It seems not to be available.  You cannot use a retail BIOS update.  Where did you find a BIOS update?

OS: Dual boot Linux Mint 16 and Windows 7 64-bit (no HP recovery partition) edition

HP recovery discs: I have them, but cannot use them because the DVD laser does not (CD only)

    Symptoms:

    • CTRL key flashes white light: 2 flashes, pause and repeat (BIOS corruption)

Hello, I'm recovering from the corruption of BIOS, hoping that it is not a failed mobo.

I downloaded the latest BIOS update for my system, but I can't this file to install on an external USB key using HP instructions to restore the BIOS.

To 1.11 step, I don't get the "HP system BIOS Update Utility" screen. Instead, I get this:

    My questions:

    1. is there an easy way to get this .exe on a USB? (I tried 3 computers and 3 cards USB, WTH then?)

    2. If not, can I just unzip and create a bootable USB in another program by copy/pasting the BIOS file?

    3. is there anything else I should try before flashing the BIOS?

Thanks in advance for your help. ^^

UPDATE: the "BIOS error" was in fact the video card that failed due to repeated overheating. The repair shop, replace the video card and repaired the overheating problem (I don't ask how), and my computer is like new.

For those who have a similar with their computer, my error "BIOS" problem (as it is coded by flashing lights of my computer) turns out to be a video card has failed.

The repair shop, said that what happens when computers overheat frequently, which mine did. Thus, they have changed the video card and solved the overheating problem, and my computer is in working condition.

    Sometimes: BIOS error beeps: short-short-long.

    Hello

tried to do a memory test? If this isn't the case, I suggest you to do. For these tests, I would prefer to use "memtest86" (www.memtest86.com)
Otherwise I guess that your motherboard is faulty and you need to bring your machine to a local ASP.

If you need help to find an ASP, here's a good site:

  • Pavilion a1102n: BOOT ERROR CAUSED BY CORRUPT BIOS?

When I try to start the computer, I get an error message which is full of spelling mistakes. When I try to boot from a CD, I get the same message, so I think that it was impossible to HARD drive but is most likely a BIOS or motherboard problem. But spelling errors make me think that it's the BIOS. How can I confirm a bad BIOS, and how to fix it if that's what it is?

Could you explain what the error message said, Word for Word, and you're still able to boot in Windows XP

Increase RAM speed will give you nothing IF the machine does not support a lower speed. Yes, the pc2-8500 RAM may work but as above, unless they are cheaper or no point to buy.

Request NEW password just press ENTER.

If asked to hit just to CHECK password to enter.

  • Pavilion a6567c: PCI a6567c ports

The two PCI slots can be used on a Pavilion a6567c system?

I would like to add a hub of media USB 3.0 on the PCI slot. (white)

I have a graphics card in the PCI 16 slot.  (black)

When both are installed, the video does not work, then nothing is possible to accomplish.

    Any ideas?

    @banhien,

    Thought this might help:

    (1) the a65567c was originally aunit of operating system Vista, to 2008.  As such, the only released BIOS was 5.43 (04/08/2012).  What is surprising it the updated operating system.  HP has never provided all the drivers except for Vista.

    (2) probably the 650W PSU was to support a new generation of GPU. This would include a UEFI BIOS, which can never be sustained with the a6567c.

  • HP Pavilion Windows 7 error reintstall

My laptop HP Pavilion DM3 performance soon so I decided to reinstall a Windows 7 Home Premium. About 44% in the process, when copying the files, I get an error message: Recovery Manager could not repair via the factory image. error code: 0xe0ef0003 . After that, I tested the hard drive failed: defect produces 738-XD7TGK-60SD03 ID PUNSW - 55 d VJ394EA3ABH ID.

    Hello

I'm sorry to hear about your hard drive error.

The error that you describe means that your hard drive is defective or failed together.

If you¨ are lucky, yet there is little life in your player and you can remove it from your computer and bring it to a family/friend/member local computer store and ask them you try to connect as a secondary drive on their computer so that you can at least try for some of your files form back up the hard drive.

You need to get your hands on a new hard drive.

If your computer is still under warranty, you can get a new one form HP / dealer.

Otherwise, you can buy one yourself.

(Sorry for my English, I'm from the Spain)

    Hello

I think the bios error change setting means that you need to access the BIOS and should set the BIOS default settings.

Please to do this, save the settings and try to start!
