Can I download it again from scratch?  I travel these days for the work and that you need on the MacBook Air.  I said that I have no chat support because the version is too old and directed to the forum.  Quick help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

I have a problem with the Trial Version of the suite CS5.5 Design Premium where shortly after the start, the program crashes and gives me the spinning wheel of death (mac) InDesign CS5.5.

In two of these scenarios, open an existing Document or to create a new Document, I can create/open the document but then immediately after that the document opens in the workspace, the application stops responding.

Here is the configuration that I work with:

    Apple iMac (iMac11, 3)

    Intel core i5 2.8 ghz

    4 GB DDR3 1333 mhz RAM

    ATI Radeon HD 5750

1 TB 7200 RPM HARD drive

    Magic mouse

    Wireless keyboard

    OS x Snow Leopard 10.6.7

The system is a new system and has all the latest updates software for OSX. The only fonts are the default values of the system and MS Office 2011 fonts.

I tried uninstall/re-installing several times and met with the same results.

Any help or support would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

  • InDesign CS5.5 crash at startup

Hi, I am a new user and just downloaded CS5.5 on my Macpro with OS Lion 10.7.2. My photoshop, bridge and everything else seems to work very well.  However, Indesign refuses to start and crashes. I tried to manipulate the file SING and made sure my permissions were released as some other posts proposed without success.

    "Here's the report: < iframe src ="http://pastebin.com/embed_iframe.php?i=b3nY5GV0"style =" border: none; width: 100% "> < / iframe > "

Ugh. I don't think that we really understand these how I want. The report suggests nothing to do with SING; It is in the module adobeBIB, an internal module that I'm really not sure of the object.

But the permissions problem is more that a simple check to ensure that files are unlocked. Can you please try with a different user account and report back?

Also, I guess that you had not all versions of InDesign, already installed on your machine, especially perhaps trial versions before your installation or upgrade to Lion?

  • InDesign CS5 to crash on launch due to problem of fonts auto-activateur

I had a problem where all the work I had been collecting would be more open in InDesign CS5 without crashing on startup. Just found out today that this has to do with the new feature in CS5 that reads fonts in your folder 'Document '. Once I renamed the folder files started opening up again. Is there a way to disable this feature in InDesign, or someone else has found another solution that does not involve renaming the folder on every job that I collect?

I'm sure this is a known problem now, but I don't see anything happen when I did a search.

    It's an interesting Enigma...

On the one hand you KNOW have two fonts with the same name but different types will cause a problem, but however ID will want to activate a font of this file, if it does not find the same police already active. When released, T1 fonts were not supported by the installed fonts in the Document, but I think it was one of the things added in 7.0.2 then maybe that wasn't such a good idea after all.

  • Can not install the InDesign CS5.5 upgrade

I just bought the InDesign CS5.5 upgrade to update myself since InDesign CS2 (both for the Mac market and Australian). Installation recognizes my new serial number, but not my previous CS2 serial number should I enter that I don't have InDesign CS2 installed anymore (and won't it won't work in classic mode). What is the solution? Both are legitimate products. Want answers please.

Manish says. You probably have a wrong upgrade package or your previous serial number requires must be converted to another, work in series. This is sometimes necessary for the OEM versions or edu packages that have been purchased through promotions and have a range of not covered in the standard upgrades special serial numbers...

  • InDesign CS5 to crash repeatedly.

I use Indesign CS5 for about a year now, migration of Quark. It has been remarkably stable, running on my iMac OSX10.6.8, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo w/4 GB of SDRAM. Then suddenly today, a particular file starated crashing repeatedly.  I ran disk on a different startup disk utility, repaired permissions; everything checked out OK. Always crashing. I created new documents and slide thumbnails of page by page, trying to ID of the offending page, but crashes every doc of this line. (It would take a lot of time to rebuild from scratch.) The original doc became irrecoverable. The original breaking file had a few rows of type on a circular path and I was wondering if that was the problem.  I deleted my .plist. Finally, I uninstalled and reinstalled the creative Suite5 together. Always crashing. Any ideas? I need to be running for my work. Thank you, Dianne,.

Looks like a corrupted document http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526991

From time to time code can accumulate on the saved - or elements on a page are corrupt.

If the link does not quite work for you then I suggest another method - divide and conquer.

When files become dark like that I'll take the file and split into half - and then see what document crashes or becomes unstable.

I then take this file and divided in half again once. Then I can finally he whittle until a range of reconstruction and pages - usually this small page range will fix the problem.

  • InDesign CS5.5 crashes when you delete empty pages. Help!

    Hi all

I'm having a problem with InDesign CS5.5 running on 10.7.5. I have two empty gaps that I need to remove, but every time I try, it asks:

"The affected pages contain objects. Delete pages anyway? »

I click OK and InDesign crashes all the time. There is no object on the page, I applied without a master unhid and unlocked everything and he can not know! Does anyone have a solution?

    Thanks in advance!
    Eddie

Altogether. Resave as .indd (preferably with a new name in order to not replace the old file) didn't continue with the new file. Export to .idml has the effect of eliminating a lot of stuf that does not need to open the file (old record data and previews, which is rewritten) then sometimes it removes any minor problem that happens.

  • The inDesign CS5.5 after installation of Creative suite cloud?

Is it possible to download a version of InDesign CS5.5 after installation of Creative suite cloud? A particular customer only uses CS5.5 and I want the exchange of files to be transparent and not save in idml.

    Hi Georged53990999,

If you have a valid serial number for InDesign CS5.5, you can install it, please make sure that you check the minimum system requirements for CS5.5: system requirements for Adobe InDesign for Mac OS and Windows, as it is an earlier application and has not been tested on the latest hardware.

Please let us know if you need help with this.

    Thank you.

  • InDesign CC 2014 crashes at startup, can we recover CC?

    Hello

On my CC was last updated, I discovered that I also acquired versions of 2014. I didn't know that I could run now 2 versions of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. My mac is old, (the latter of the ones 17 "), but until this update and additional installation of CC 2014, it was working fine. Now, I can't open an INDD file without the "Rainbow death wheel' ends by occurring in a forced shutdown. I didn't know that I still had my old CS5.5 Design Premium also, so I proceeded to uninstall, then the InDesign CC version as well, so I only had the latest InDesign CC 2014 on my mac. I don't think it's a matter of space, because there were at least 23GB still available with all 3 versions on my mac.

So now, I have the following text: Illustrator CC, CC of Photoshop and InDesign CC 2014. Now, every time my InDesign CC 2014 charge upward (takes forever) it freezes the mac, forcing a manual stop. I tried to download InDesign CC back last night, but there is no link available in my CC menu.

I'm on Mac OS Lion 10.7.5 - I can't improve my BONES any further on the model 17 ".

2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor

    2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory

I do have a model 'vintage', I currently have a new custom but until it is, I need to continue to use my 17 "in order to meet deadlines. Would really appreciate someone's help here.

You now know that you should never uninstall old until you're of course new works

  • InDesign CS5.5 crashing during their epub export

I have an ebook in a few days and I hit a brick wall. I'm working on a 300-page InDesign document which is connected internally (no cross references). There are also some external http links. The text was delivered to me in Microsoft Word doc format. I found that InDesign disliked the links generated by Word and crashed during their epub export. I took me a while to understand that one. If I had no choice but to remove manually all 1600 links and add a link to them, and then tested a few pages. Success. It took 10 days.

Now that I'm ready to export, InDesign collapses, and this time I do not know why.  I removed all styles, all links and all text in the hyperlink - still in accidents. I suspect that indesign doesn't like TOC in large documents. The problem is, once you have called your table of contents, you can not delete it! So, I tried to copy + paste a few pages in my old test docs I know used to export without problems - and they do not have a table of contents. These exported correctly, even with the new style and links intact. Without crashing. But my original 300 page document still crashes whenever I try to export to EPUB.

So a solution - even if it is cumbersome - is I can move all my content page by page in a fresh document - with styles and links intact - and it won't crash. I started to test this with 5 pages, but InDesign is weird as arising from the text on the even or odd pages only, and not always to let the stream of content on the new blank pages.

I have included a link below in a zip file that contains the indd work and crash indd. At this point, I suspect that OCD is at the origin of the accident, but I'm not entirely sure.

    http://CL.LY/402G2M410l182D1R1J1v

    I tried the things:

export with NO link and NO style (in which case it was a https or & question) = always accidents

IDML export and then export as EPUB = always accidents

I have a few days left, so that all help figure this out would be greatly appreciated!

    Nathan

I would like to have better advice for you

Your conclusion seems to agree with mine on Sunday, where it seemed that the difference between a crashing and a non paper document was a harmless little extra line.

All I can offer is that this kind of problem is not really normal for InDesign, but EPUB is a rapidly changing area and so I'm afraid they are a domain which is not as developed as the rest of InDesign, and clearly, there are serious problems.

You can take it to the top with the support of Adobe, of course, but I don't know that they will be able to find you a solution in due course. Maybe someone else who treats the ePub files that I can weigh with some more useful tips.

I wonder if you can divide your document into several smaller documents and make a book (INDB file) and who then export. It can allow you to avoid going beyond the limit that you travel upwards.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, and I particularly regret what I can I have provided false hope that led you on the path of optimism while eating in your time. I would like to know if there is anything I can do to help.
