The installer of Windows 7 lists the options instead of install.

Windows 7 Setup displays a list of options from command line instead of install the .msi file.  Is there any solution for this?

The Microsoft Fixit program does NOT help, nor does msiexec re-record.  There is no apparent install partial or failed.

  • The installer of Windows does everything I have download to install: how to cure this?

    I had serious problems with my operating system installer, XP Pro. Unfortunately, to download anything, I will install!

    When I try to install anything, I get an "Unknown Publisher" notification, and I gives me two options "RUN" or "CANCEL".

    When I type 'RUN', I get a ""this file is corrupt " , or the notification "this file has no digital signature" ." The same thing

    It happens even when I'm Abdel to install Microsofts owner downloads! Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

    Best regards

    Ian

    Hello

    · Were there any changes made on the computer before the show?

    · Who is the service pack installed?

    A digital signature is an electronic security mark that can be added to the files. It allows you to verify the Publisher of a file and helps verify that the file has not changed since it has been digitally signed.

    If the file does not have a valid digital signature, has no way for you make sure that the file is actually from the source, of what he wants, or that he didn't has not been tampered with (possibly by a virus) since its publication. It is safer to avoid opening the file unless you know for certain who created it and if the content is safe to open it.

  • KB2416427 is listed in the optional instead of KB2477244 updates if SilverLight is not installed

    Why optional updates don't show KB2416427 instead of KB2477244 when SilverLight is not installed?  This question requires that I have install KB2416427 before the major update of the KB2477244 can be detected and installed.  It ends with two versions of SilverLight, and the record of the previous version of Silverlight is removed only after restarting, but in the Add/Remove list the installed size is always like 40 MB instead of 20 MB.  If I install SilverLight manually after uninstalling SilverLight installed in the Add/Remove list size is 20 MB.  Can you please replace the optional update of KB2416427 with KB2477244 in Microsoft Update to avoid running through two facilities of SilverLight After uninstallation of SilverLight?

  • New installation of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit does not install the Windows updates

    I tried it twice.  I install Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit on a ThinkPad T61.  After installation and activation successful Windows, I tried Windows updates.  The 'check updates' never ends.  After the first installation of Windows, I tried all sorts of bugs found either here or other Windows Help Web sites, does not.  So I reinstalled Windows, but with the same result.

    After that the first installation was impossible to install updates, I received the Windows Update stand-alone Installer and downloaded the stand-alone files for updates.  Would install things like IE updates, but no security update would install, as well as most other updates.  Yet once, just standalone Setup would continue to search for already installed updates without ever ending.

    Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

    Thanks for the comments.  It's good to hear that you have actually solved the problem.

  • Can I download drivers for Dell XPS 420 girl (windows xp) on my computer (Dell Studio 17 Windows 7) on a cd instead of install on my computer?

    I done a clean install on Dell XPS 420 after a crash.  Windows XP works fine, but it continues to ask that drivers can be installed before I can get on my internet which is At & T DSL with external modem.  When I try to go on the internet, it gives me the error of pilots.  I had what I thought, it was the disk drivers that came with the computer, but when I installed and then it is still asking for the correct drivers.  I called At & t for their support and they said I needed drivers.  That's why I came to Microsoft to download the drivers on my Dell Studio 17 on a cd, so I can load them onto the computer Dell XPS 420.  I was afraid to install on my computer because my Windows 7 running.

    I don't know if I can load my Windows 7 and its drivers on the dell Xps 420.  It was a solution, I thought, but I'm not that computer from common sense to see if that might spoil the Dell XPS 420.   Any help would be appreciated.

    Using another computer, go to the Dell support website and search the Windows XP drivers for your specific model number. Using your Dell's Service tag number is the fastest way to get the correct drivers.
    http://support.Dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=Gen

    If there is then Windows XP Download drivers into a folder (with subfolders named "Chipset", "LAN", "Audio", etc) on your hard drive and burn all files on a CD driver.

    Then, insert the CD into the computer XPS 420 and install all of the driver files, starting with the mother/chipset, SATA, Firewire card drivers (1394), LAN, Audio, etc, and so on.

    For the problems of graphics card check download site of the manufacture of the graphics card for the latest Windows 7 drivers for your card.

    Hi all.

    I have a Satellite Pro A300-1DZ system unit, model no PSAG1E-OOFOO4EN (think they are 'o' and not '0', circle with slash through it) with WXP Pro.

    I recently contracted a virus inside and as he removed, however it is not good so I want to re - install Windows XP Home edition. I backed up the computer, I have a Windows XP Home SP2 Pro edition disk and I have my product key.
    I put the CD/DVD in BIOS to run 1 drive and tells me that I can boot from the CD, I press a button and it loads the CD, select the option where to install windows.

    BUT! I can t go further than what windows does not detect the HD said he s not now, or whatever.

    My question is this: Please can someone me step by step instructions on how to reinstall XP and a link to all the drivers I need to make it work?

    PLEEASE!

    It's simple on my PC, also, please keep in mind, I am best suited for working on cars, I'm not stupid, but my calloused hands search for computers a little more difficult than Motors please not in many computer technical terms.

    Hi jeff

    Here's your solution:
    1. go to bios with F2 when you see the toshiba start screen.
    2. Select the arrow to the left using the "Advanced".
    3 press down until you get to "SATA Controller Mode".
    4 change, using F7/F8, Chang [AHCI] setting [compatibility].
    5. make sure the CD/DVD drive is the first to start and F10 save and exit. computer restart when you are prompted to "press any key" press a button and hey presto as before windows will start the installation, but this time you won't get windows you said:

    Set up did not find Ant hard disks installed on your computer.

    Make sure any drive HARD are powered on and properly connected to your computer and any hard disk related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or Setup program.

    implementation cannot continue press f3 to goto hell... uh I mean leaving the installation

    And you can continue on your installation of Windows XP Home edition.

    Hope I helped many other jeff's in the same boat. XD

  • Cannot create a partition during the installation of Windows 7

    When I want to create a new partition on the unallocated space during the installation of Windows 7 in custom option on that I enter the size of the partition size I wanted and click apply, but nothing happens and cannot install Windows 7, but the same thing can be done by my old Windows XP CD. My computer is Dell Inspirion - 620... When I was clicking on an already partitioned space to install, error message is that there was not much free space in partitioned space was similarly if I formatted the partition of 75 GB and all 75 GB of free space and so on showing the screen.

    Try to increase the size of the partition and see what happens.

    Windows 7 would probably work on a 75 GB partition, but you will run out of space real fast at that size. A minimum of 120 GB would be better.

    Another thing you could try is to simply create a major score for the entire disk, then after you have installed Windows, go to "disk management" and create your other partitions.

    Personally, I don't see what good it does to have multiple partitions on the same drive. If the drive fails, all of your partitions went anyway.

    How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    https://secure.TX.Acer.com/rcdb/main.aspx?brand=Acer

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11; Acer is in some models Alt + F10 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
