The IOS IPSec VPN configuration Cisco router
Hi experts,
I have not configured the VPN for a long time on the routers so I want your recommendation on best practices.
I need to run OSPF over it, so it must be GRE over IPSec
I googled and I see the old type of config that I used to do with the use of the crypto map. Then I see config with profile Ipsec that is applied to the interface of tunnel (tunnel protection). I also see on the manual on isakmp profile...
Is there an example of configuration that you can provide? This is site to site VPN with PAT most basic on the interface for the remote desktop for surfing the Internet. My routers are fairly recent. One is 2821 with new 12.4 T code and another 2921 router.
Thank you
Hello!
I didn't have a corresponding exactly to your needs, but I did a. I set it up by hand while there might be errors in config.

I have Windows 8 and that you can't find the woreless icon to configure my router
I have HP envy23, Windows 8 and that you do not find the wireless icon to configure my router.
When you request support, please provide the complete product of the HP computer in question number. HP/Compaq made thousands of computer models which are all different. Without this information, it can be difficult, even impossible to help you solve your problem.
The information requested above are at the bottom of your computer or inside the battery compartment.
If you try to connect to a wireless network, type "connect to a network" on the new Windows 8 Office as shown in the following example.

Configure several IPSec VPN between Cisco routers
I would like to create multiple ipsec VPN between 3 routers. Before applying it, I would like to check on the config I wrote to see if it works. It's just on RouterA configuration for virtual private networks to RouterB, and RouterC.
As you can apply in a cyptomap by interface, I say with the roadmap, that it should be able to manage traffic for both routers. Or is there a better way to do it?

Hi Chris,
The two will remain active.
The configuration you have is for several ste VPN site is not for the redundant VPN.
The config for the redundant VPN is completely different allows so don't confuse is not with it.
In the redundant VPN configuration both peers are defined in the same card encryption.
Traffic that should be passed through the tunnel still depend on the access list, we call in the card encryption.
This access-lsist is firstly cheked and as a result, the traffic is passed through the correct tunnel

Anyone has the same problem?
And had anyone has a tip for me, or has someone expirense with a site-by-site with ISA550 and Cisco 2821 ipsec tunnel?
I can successfully establish a tunnel between openswan linux server and the isa550.
Patrick,
as you can see on newspapers, the software behind ISA is also OpenSWAN
I have a facility with a 892 SRI running which should be the same as your 29erxx.
Use your IOS Config dynmap, penny, you are on the average nomad. If you don't have any RW customer you shoul go on IOS "No.-xauth" after the isakmp encryption key.

IPSec VPN between Cisco ASA and Fortigate1000
Hello
I find a useful document on how to create a tunnel VPN IPSec with ASA 5510 firewall Fortigate 1000...
the configuration of the coast FG is done without any problem, BUT the document (. doc FG) said I must configure the ASA with a GRE interface and assign an internal IP address in order to communicate with the FG...
The question is: How do I configure the interface on the SAA ACCORD?
Thanks in advance, Experts...
Kind regards...
ASA firewall does not support the interface/GRE GRE tunnel.
If you need to have GRE configured, you will need to complete the GRE tunnel on router IOS.
If you want to configure just pure tunnel VPN IPSec (lan-to-lan), here is an example of configuration on the side of the ASA:
http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a0080950890.shtml
Hope that helps.

Install two the separate IPSec VPNS on ASA 5505
Hello
I'll have set up a second tunnel IPSec VPN on my Cisco ASA 5505 to another office. I was able to configure one without problem through the ASDM, but were not able to get the second.
The IPSec tunnel connects to a WRVS4400N router to the other office. I tried the debug crypto isakmp and ipsec crypto, but I get nothing. Here is the config. Something seems wrong on my end? I've also attached a screenshot of the configuration settings on the remote router.
Output of the command: "show run".

A Site at IOS IPSEC VPN and EIGRP
Hello
I have a connection of remote site to base via a VPN IPSEC router. I don't want to run EIGRP accoss VPN. Howerver I want adverstise the rest of the network from the router of core of the subnet to the remote site.
The remote VPN subnet is managed as a route connected on the router base?
Configuriguring a statement of network to the remote site on the router base will cause EIGRP announce the road?
You are right.
RRI (reverse Route Injection) is the correct way to announce remote routes as static routes on the HUB, and all what you need to do is redistribute static in EIGRP, so she is redistributed in your EIGRP.
Here is an example configuration:
http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a00809d07de.shtml
(It's about OSPF and IPSec VPN dynamics, however, the concept is the same for ipsec site-to-site and redistribution in EIGRP)
Hope that helps.

Will there be improvements made to the features of VPN configuration and firewalls in the ACC?
Future versions of CCA will have the ability to set up the VPN site-to site on UC520s, UC540s and SR520s without having to use the Multisite Manager or CLI? With non-SBCS Cisco VPN products have a Cisco's GUI to configure site-to-site VPNs. The UC520, UC540 and SR520 are the only Cisco products (with the exception of products that have reached end of life status) who do not have this capability in a sort of Cisco's GUI (apart from the Multisite Manager of CCA 2.1 and later versions).
Future versions of CCA will allow you to modify the firewall on UC520s, UC540s and SR520s rules without having to resort to the CLI?
Almost all Cisco products, except for UC520, UC540 and SR520 series products, have a Cisco's GUI to configure these features. The SA520 and SA540, these features can be configured in the web GUI. The Cisco ISR, these features can be configured through SDM or CCP. CCA has always had the ability to fix UC520 unit, but he had not the possibility to fine-tune the settings of firewall and security, unlike the web interface SA500, SDM or CCP.
Reasons why having the skills to the CCA is important:
- These characteristics are indicated on the data of UC520, UC540 and SR520 sheets
- The opportunity to refine and verify access control lists in the ACC can accomplish the following:
- Ability to comply with HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, etc.
- Improved troubleshooting
- Eliminates the need to use CLI to refine or verify the firewall settings
- VPN site to site can currently be configured via CLI or the CCA Multisite Manager
- Multisite Manager CCA can be used for virtual private networks between UC500 or SR520s placed in front of UC500 units units
- CCA Multisite Manager cannot be used for VPN between autonomous SR520 units, or between a unit UC500 and endpoint non-UC500 (with the exception of a placed in front of a UC500 unit SR520)
- All images IOS Supportepar UC520 units, UC540 and SR520 routers have firewalls and VPN capabilities described here
Hi John,.
The ACC is a configuration tool for platforms that are part of the SBCS solutions. Multisite manager is the approach we take to configure a VPN site. Enchancements in customization of the firewall and access lists is something we plan to put on the roadmap. We will continue to improve the CCA to meet these requirements. We will schedule to get these features added in the 2010 calendar.
Thank you

How to disable a particular IPSec tunnel on Cisco router
Hi guys,.
Someone knows a way to termporarily disable an IPSec tunnel on a Cisco router provided individual:
-No configuration changes
-Without affecting the other IPSec tunnels running
-GRE is not used, so there is no tunnel interface to close
Or in any event nearest to you to meet the requirement above?
Thank you
Andrew
Andrew,
There is no way to 'turn off' the tunnel without changing the config.
I think the easiest would be to get the card crypto for this particular tunnel and remove the peer or the ACL:
for example:
labmap 10 ipsec-isakmp crypto map
no counterpart set 10.0.0.1
labmap 10 ipsec-isakmp crypto map
no correspondence address 100
or you can remove the key isakmp for this tunnel, that would, for example:
No cisco123 key crypto isakmp 10.0.0.1 address
That would prevent the tunnel to come without affecting the other tunnels.
I hope this helps.

Hello
I use a Cisco ASA 5510 firewall and I was wondering how remote access tunnels can be created at the same time.
Ideally, I would have one that uses the Cisco VPN Client and the other would be incompatible with the windows client.
Kind regards
Alex
You can have up to 250 concurrent clients of the IPSEC VPN tunnels/remote access by using the Cisco VPN client.
If you want to use the AnyConnect SSL VPN client, you will need to purchase licenses AnyConnect more.

IPsec VPN with Cisco AnyConnect and 1921 ISR G2 router
Hello
Is it possible to establish a remote access VPN IPSec using Cisco Anyconnect client with router Cisco ISR G2 1921.
If someone does share it please the sample configuration. as I've been on this topic since last week a.
My Cisco rep recommended I have not try AnyConnect a router ISR or ASR. So I used an Open Source client. Don't say that AnyConnect won't work, just the route I took on my project. I work good known configuration for a 1921 with strongSwan as a Client. It is with IPSEC and IKEV2 using certificates for authentication.

Hi all
I am trying to create a VPN between a PIX and a Cisco 877W tunnel but can't seem to get the tunnel. When I do a 'sho crypto session"on the Cisco 877, I get, he said session state is declining, then changed to NEGOTIATE DOWN, but it is now down again... Please find attached the configs for both ends... Are there commands to confirm that the tunnel is up other than to try to ping the remote end? I would greatly appreciate any help lift this tunnel.
Kind regards
REDA
Hello
Based on the configurations of joined, to do some changes. For example:
1. the isakmp policies do not match on the router and the pix. Make sure the hash group Diffie-Hellman and life correspond on the 877 and pix.
2. the access list for the ipsec traffic must be images of mirror of the other.
3. make sure life of ipsec on the two peers.
I hope it helps.
Kind regards
Arul

Hi guys,.
I'm trying to get the Site working on two 5505 VPN of Site I have in my lab.
Attached image...
I used the Setup Assistant, and I think that sounds good. However, this does not work when I run the following command:
Community-Site # sh ipsec his
There is no ipsec security associations
I think I generate traffic, then I tried to ping and access IIS from one laptop to the other without a bit of luck.
Ping between ASAs works very well.
ASAs are 5505 8.2 (5)
