• 1.3 of the ISE and NAC

  I have a client that 5508 WLCs runs through the area, and I'm catching IEEE802.1x authentication for the enterprise WLAN and WebAuth for WLAN of comments... they PSK now :(

  They have ad and ISE and NAC great interest, so my immediate thoughts are to integrate ISE AD and use ISE as RADIUS server for .1x on the WLC. Then use the WLC and ISE do WebAuth for comments... It's all of the standard stuff, but it gives the background.

  Now, we come to the interesting bit... they want to run BYOD. They are involved in the financial markets, so the BYOD must be tightly controlled. They ask on ISE coupled with the NAC, but I am not convinced that I need the NAC since the arrival of the ISE1.3. Of course, I will examine three (min) SSID, corporate knowledge, comments and BYOD, just logically distinct. I have nothing that ISE 1.2 cannot press the company and comments but BYOD must full profiling and reclamation prohibition or device before access to the net.

  Someone at - he comments or suggestions? Is ISE 1.3 enough NAC-like that I don't need more, or if this is not the case, what additional benefits does that ISE can support

  Hi Jim -.

  Version 1.3 offers an integrated PKI and a significantly improved services reviews experience. The internal PKI is nice if the customer does not have a PKI solution in place. Don't forget however that the PKI ISE internal can only issue certificates to BYOD devices which have boarded through the ISE BYOD "flow", you cannot use the ISE PKI to issue certificates to computers in the domain.

  With regard to the NAC: you need to specify exactly what is needed here. If you were to make "posture assessment" then ISE can do for machines based on Windows and OSX. You can check for things like: A / V, a/s, status of the firewall, Windows hotfixes. If you want to make the posture on mobile devices, so you will need to integrate ISE with MDM (mobile device management) solution such as: Airwatch, Mobile, Extend360 iron, etc. ISE may question the MDM for things like: the device is protected with a PIN, is the rooted device, is the encrypted device, etc.

  You have certainly a few design issues.

  The structure of stacked sequence tends to create more problems than it solves. I the have not used in new programs since version 1.2 of LabVIEW (in 1989). A state machine is a much better choice of architecture.

  Local variables can cause race conditions, copies of additional data, poor performance and it is difficult to debug code. There are special cases when they should be used, but these conditions are not in your code. Just wire directly on the terminals of control at the scene, the data will be used.

  My guess on the likely cause of your error is the use of several DAQ Assistant to perform the same task (with different data values) in each image in the sequence structure. With the arcitecture state machine that I suggested above, you would need one. The DAQ Assistant trying to be clever on the configuration and tasks of closing, but different instances do not speak with each other, so they don't know when to release the resources.  You might be able to do work if you used the DAQmx screw standard you have done with the task of digital output.  You do not connect the error lines of the DAQ Assistant for you can be missing errors.

  Indicators and controls without legend may be a troubleshooting nightmare. Please give each control and seeing a unique label. If you don't want the visible label on the front, you can use the properties of the control to hide. If you want multiple controls to have the same visible text for the operator, use the legend.

  Learn how to use subVIs. Most of the code in the 6 images of the structure of internal sequence is identical. By converting only a Subvi, you would reduce considerably the size of the diagram and if you ever need to modify the code, it should only be changed in one place - the Subvi.

  I want to use the scanner on all-in-one printer, HP Officejet 5610. I am running Windows 7 (64-bit).  When I select HP Solution Center it says that I'm not running the latest version of Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer.  It will not work until I update to the latest version. However, when I update I can't launch the videos sent to my email, so I was advised to uninstall and revert to a previous version.  How can I get the HP Solution Center to run without upgrading to the latest Adobe Flash Player. BTW, my favorite browser is Mozilla.

  I hate to say this, but you can't.  Center solution requires the latest version of Flash Player to run.  I don't know why HP has designed this way, but you need the it or any buttons.  I'm sorry.

  I have a HP Ultrabook (Windows 7) and an all-in-one (quite old), the HP PhotoSmart C3180, as well as a HP Scanjet G4050. Everything was dandy until I installed the latest version of the HP Solution Center.

  I can't wait to hear that you have questions. Unfortunately the previous versions of the software for this printer are not compatible with Windows 7.  You may be able to get some of the components to install another operating system or install it using compatibility mode, but there is no guarantee that any of these options will work. I have included a link to the Microsoft support page to use the software in compatiability mode. Are you able to analyze through fax scan Windows or MS paint? The solution center should not have caused the alignment problems or blurred impressions seen. We must address the possibility of a failure of the printer if you are unable to align. You are able to print the self-test page?  See if you can access the Toolbox through the preferences to perform the alignment, please see the steps below.  Also before trying the software in compatibility mode, click here to run the doctor print and scan. Click on the + sign next to the utility-diagnostic tools, and then click Download next to print and scan the doctor.  We may be able to solve the problems of simple software with Solution Center through utility which can help with the issue.

  1. go to the printed case

  2. right click on the printer driver, the printer properties select

  3. in the populous dialog box, on the general tab, click the Preferences button down

  4. click on the features tab

  5. click on the services below to the right printer button

  That is right. It only supports LDAP on port 389 (clear text), this feature is expected to be supported, but no work has yet been done. This is an improvement for your reference request:

• LAN/WAN design issues: redundant network core design and equipment

  I have a growing network that has inherited the reliability and scalability issues:

  These two options do not look good because I have to rely on STP with LSP.

  I would use redundancy features and L3 protocols, but do not know how to avoid trunks

  I have no experience with the material of fantasy as a Catalyst 4500/6500 series.

  in the diagram and description that you provided the switch, you need to replace is a dashboard device that works only for the moment, in L2

  If you plan to go L3 communications in this device, you should review your design to the whole of the network and also review/discuss with MS how that can be converted into L3 communications

  If you want to keep the same as L2 and introduce it into the device or devices for redundancy, I'd rather have two redundant devices of a redundant chassis that I mean pair of 3750 is more reliable chassis 4500 with equipment redundant as soup, UPE however its a reliable option as well and again for sure

  If you rely on STP for redundancy, what is the problem here? It is time of convergence or what is your concern?

  Can someone clarify exactly what COA (change permission) is?

  From my understanding, ISE can make an initial authentication and using the configured authorization policy but it is not considered COSTS.

  If subsequently a posture or profiling check is performed for this authenticated, authorized session and a new policy applies to this existing session then this would be considered in COST.

  This is why COA is feasible with advanced license because of the posture and profiling.

• HP Photosmart Premium C410b disconnected in the HP Solution Center

  My printer is showing continuously until as disconnected in the HP Solution Center.  I tried a number of things in this forum to sort out and spent several hours on this issue, but without success.

  I am running Windows 7 (64-bit), and the printer is connected wireless to the network.  Print to the printer works, but there is no connection inwards for scanning, etc.

  I have:

  -uninstalled and reinstalled the software (including work around the bug in the downloaded installation program that looks for files on a CD drive path rather than where they were extracted to);

  -connected to the interface html to address local IP and run network test on the printer, to confirm that it is properly connected.

  -added to the firewall exceptions for all ports and HP applications referred to in the http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01856593 and even tried to add an exception to coverage for all incoming & outgoing of the MAC address of the printer ports.

  If I disable the firewall and then reboot the PC then Solution Center connects to the printer, but disconnects once the firewall is rebooted.

  The firewall is part of Panda Global Protection 2013 safety.  There seems to be a firewall issue, but anything that can open was.

  I had the same problem intermittently with my firewall previous, although related to the firewall it seems to be a problem with the Solution Center software.

  I'm generally an advanced home user and searched this forum, but have now run out of ideas on this one

  Well, I wanted to check just to be sure, so that we can eliminate the easy things first. But if you think it might be a firewall, that may be all right, I'm going to write below the information you will need to open all those printing and scanning of ports.

  I have a task I'm trying to test and understand what would be the best solution for this, any recommendations would be appreciated.

  2 ESXi hosts run a small amount of virtual machines that are all in the same domain.  I want to have a file server (or a repository somewhere) that houses a folder with easily accessible software (OS, Office, etc.) on the field.

  According to me, that if I made a virtual machine with a large hard drive and share the software, this would not be the best way because it would be dependent on the OS.  Someone has talked about doing a separte VMDK for it and then install it on the operating system on the virtual machine. This way I could always remove the and mount it somewhere else.

  It seems a bit weird to me that the software within this "shared folder" will also be sitting on the data store (if I create a virtual machine and need to use the OS/etc).  Not that doubles the space for the same software (in the comments, then the data store)?

  What is the best approach to make this action which can be accessed at the prompt (mostly windows) in the field?

• Why can't move pictures from the Finder to the CC Dreamweaver design view?

  I use OS X Mavericks (10.9) and Adobe DW CC

  For some reason any CC and CS6 I can't drag files from the Finder (Mac OS x Explorer) in design mode (for example: adding images to a table cell), the Browse button doesn't work properly or the other... The 'Find a file' button only works if there is an image already and then it will update the image, or if there is no image in the table cell, it will bring up the dialog box browse, but does nothing if I select a file and press 'open '.

  Is there a setting that was introduced in the CS 6 which affects this behavior?

  @Jdawg - we have seen that the Drag and Drop does not work on 10.9. We're investigating this issue. As NAncy mentioned, I too suggest using the Insert panel until the fix for this issue is available

  In my team, we need to build an institutional portal for our company (it's a financial services company). So, we start rating the WebCenter Suite, but I m a bit confused about its battery.
  
  The needs of the portal is based to share dynamic content, such as news, information pages, cats/instant messages with clients, hotsites, change the skin/template/logo in run mode.
  
  Based in this tip, I know webcenter has two main ways to do things like that, there are site webcenter and webcenter space; so, my question:

  There have been many questions about when to use the WebCenter portal and when to use spaces WebCenter. There are specific use cases for each, and you can ask yourself a few simple questions that can help you to decide what to use. Generally WebCenter spaces is intended for intranet collaboration portals. In previous versions, spaces has been used because there is no easy way to build a portal with the WebCenter framework. Spaces was simply because it's there and that's why it has been misused a lot! Since the PS3, all good feature are out of the box available in a WebCenter portal application, then you should really watch the correct reason to use spaces or a portal. In this post, you can find a few questions that you can use to help your client or company to make the right decision. :

  (1) each user requires a personal space?
  One of the features in WebCenter spaces is personal space. In this space, each user can create their own pages and put some components they want to this topic. As an administrator, you can also create pages of role of companies that can be propagated to the personal space of specific users. When you want this kind of functionality, spaces WebCenter is necessary. These features are not available in a WebCenter portal. If you want to build in portal, it will take a lot of work.

  (2) not your project requires separate groups or micro-sites?
  One of the biggest features spaces is to create spaces for group. The space of each group have different pages. All the resources that you create (documents, discussions, events, lists,...) are related to the space of the group.   I searched quite considerably and my understanding is that Adobe did not intend to support Design view more for Extension Builder.  In my opinion a very disappointing decision and one that is difficult to understand.

  The best solution I can find is to create the majority of your design in a Builder Extension parallel, right, of the project and then convert/import your design in your Extension.  It certainly isn't as satisfying that having the Design view for the Extension that you write, but it is better than to simply create your layout: guess/trial and error.

  Although this has not been announced by Adobe, I have a suspicion that the reason why they decided to not to put other resources in design of fixing what Extension Builder as we know it will be dropped soon, probably replaced by a method of creating extensions to HTML5/JavaScript.  My problem with this is that, other than to reassure that there are reasons of compatibility backward support for legacy extensions, it will not be a way of compiling an extension in a way that prevents people from seeing your code.

  It's all speculation, and I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.  Hope this has helped.
