The mail application hangs up

I use the latest version of Yosemite on my iMac, and I use Apple's Mail application to my email.  Lately, it takes some time (about 15 seconds) to open the application, and then sometimes he hangs up and I get this circle of rotation of misfortune.  I tried to quit smoking strength and then re-boot, but it still doesn't seem to give me a coherent solution.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

  • Problem with the mail application after upgrading to El Capitan

    Hello

I've recently updated to snow leopard at el capitan on a 2009 macbook pro.

I can't send e-mail from the mail since the upgrade application.

Incoming mail server address is grayed out in the settings preference of apps under 'Account Information'. It reads "p02 - imap.mail.me.com. My full username iCloud is also grayed out. It doesn't seem to be a way to fix this. I believe that the correct server address should be "imap.mail.me.com".

The outgoing server address is "stmp.mail.me.com".

ICloud Drive switch makes no difference. I also tried to remove the iCloud account on the 'Accounts' page under preferences app mail and setting up the account again. Also makes no difference.

I can send emails with mail on my iPhone application and receive emails on my mac and iPhone.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    See you soon

You go to System Preferences-> Internet accounts to fix the details of the server. These things are more fixed inside the Mail application. It may seem strange, but it makes sense, since the accounts are used for email and other services. Now, is there a central location for this.

  • iOS 10 problems with the Mail application

    Dear Apple and community support,

    Here's my problem:

I have upgraded to iOS 10 on my iPhone 5s this afternoon (September 13), and now I'm not able to open e-mail - Yahoo!, and Gmail. I can receive emails, I'm not able to view the body of these emails. When I press on them, all I see is a blank white page. I can't answer emails either. I can only their flag or remove them. However, I am able to compose new e-mail messages.

Here are the steps that I've taken to try to solve my problem:

    1. Restarted my phone
    2. Remove and re-add my Mail accounts
    3. Made a backup and a restore full while that plugged into my laptop with the latest version of iTunes.

I should be grateful if you would help or more information on this issue.

    Thank you

    Emily

    Mail application

    Hi, ale.schmidt!

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. After reading your post, I see that when you clear a flag to a message in Mail, they always appear in the box to the Flagged letters. I use the mail every day, so I know how it is important to be able to manage your messages, and I'd be happy to help you!

The first thing I would say is to leave the Mail app following the instructions here: OS X El Capitan: Quit apps

Once you have left the Mail app, press in and hold the SHIFT key on your keyboard. While now Shift click the Mail icon to open the application again. Check if the messages in question were removed from the mailbox Flagged.

If you still see the messages there, try restarting your Mac by clicking on the menu  Apple in the upper left corner of your screen and selecting restart... from the menu drop down. Once the computer is back on, check if the messages are always under the Flagged mailbox.

You can then start the computer in safe mode if the messages are always listed under Flagged. The following article will guide you through a startup in safe mode: try safe mode if your Mac does not start-up

Although the title of this article does not exactly your question, it is always a good step to take. Safe mode works certain system checks during the startup process, and disables some software that may be causing a conflict. Once you have started in safe mode, check if the messages are always listed under Flagged.

    Hello

You can try this plugin I found on Apple's site, that should do the trick.

But if this does not work, I'd recommend posting your question in the Mac forums.

  • . Images PNG in the Mail application, but not the Photo app?

I was wondering if it was a bug or a limitation of the software. I myself have sent images properly displayed .png in the mail application. After clicking on "copy photos", the image did not appear in the downloads section of photo enforcement.

Its seems strange that the mail app can display png files, but the photo app can not.

You may not use png images for wallpapers because of this oversight even. Looks like a simple fix, obviously png display support is there, they just need to add other types of image files to funtions of the broswer photo file.

  • How to save the image to an email in the mail application

Original title: save the image in the email

How to save a photo to an email? When I hold down the image, the only option is to 'copy '; There is no 'Save' function available.

    Hey Lucent,

Thanks for posting your query in the Forums RT in Microsoft Windows. If I understand you correctly, you have a problem with saving an image with the mail application. I understand that it must be frustrating, but don't worry, we are here to help solve your problem and guide you in the right direction.

In the Mail application, you wouldn't be able to do differently than the option to right click functions. The dialog box you get with the "save image under" comes to a browser. If you use Internet Explorer to check email, you'll get the option to click with the right button on a photo. In the Mail app if you want to download an image that was attached to the email, you can click on the picture to download and click it a second time to get the options to open or save.

  • How to turn off the preview pane in the mail application

Is it possible to close/hide or resize the preview pane in the mail application?

It looks like a natural option to have, and I can't believe he hasn't. Anyone know the magic gesture or setting?

    Hi Mmichtch,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

Unfortunately, there is no option to close/hide or resize the preview pane in the Mail application, because it is by default design.

If you want to provide feedback on the same, then proceed as follows:

Open Mail App press on Windows + C logo , then select your comments.

If you need further assistance, please answer and we will be happy to help you.

    Hello

The email app works like many other applications in Windows 8.

The application is used to access information and data that is stored in the cloud (on the Internet). The Mail App simply access the email that is stored on the internet.

The main advantage of this feature is that if you encounter a disaster with your computer and lose all the data stored there, you can just go to the online storage where this information is kept and recover.

If you want to configure Spam filters, add folder, or make other changes to your e-mail account, just go to the location of your account on the web, then make the changes there. You can see all of the changes reflected in the Mail application, the next time that you open this app.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

  • How to disconnect from the Mail application built into Windows 8 Pro

    Hey jayRads,

There is no concept sign in email and applications on the Preview version of consumer Messaging. If applications use the credentials you entered in your Windows profile, you will need to disconnect your account under settings of the PC users.

    -Isabelle '.
and we know that this is not a real answer to the question.

Since I only have a Local account signed in Windows 8... and when I click on the mail and forced me to Sign In (add account MS)... There should be a disconnect somewhere after I entered my hotmail account. Logically faulty if there is really nowhere to disconnect my hotmail. Even used Credential Manager/ne shows not my signed in accounts.

NOTE: All I can do is to remove all accounts from the e-mail settings, but it affects all applications (Messaging, people, etc.) which usually isn't my idea of disconnection from Mail only. :(

I want to just sign out since the Mail application (will also apply to applications that require a signature in) is possible.

Please enlighten me in this situation.

    Thank you

    Hi Ferdie Miranda,

Thank you for choosing windows 8 and we join on our community.

I understand from the description of the problems, you want to know the way to disconnect from the Mail application in Windows 8.

Windows 8 Mail app has been designed so that it will keep you in connected mode all the time so that you will be able to check your e-mail without connecting to the Web-based e-mail.

The steps in the thread you mentioned are quite correct.

If you want to disconnect, please delete your account.
