  Something seems to have changed with my InDesign, and I don't know why. Here's what I used to be able to do.

  I could import a word doc into a text box. This text would be bold italic, regular, fonts. I choose the text box, and then change the font using the character palette by changing just the upper box of the police. For example, if the police imported as Helvetica, but I wanted to be all Futura, I check the box and then simply type Futura and all bold Helvetica would become "BOLD" Futura, and italic Helvetica became Futura Italic, etc.. I didn't have to select each row.

  Now if I try to do the same thing, when I select Futura, it changes just ANY text to regular Futura. I lose all the precedents of the formatting that was imported from the word doc.

  I fixed it. It was so simple. I just stumbled upon the answer.
  All I had to do was change the search option using this drop-down list. (See the image)

  If you have problems with the update or the permissions then more simple is to download the full version and trash the version currently installed to do a clean install of the new version.

• Receiving the message 'Fatal Error' when you try to burn BluRay

  I've completed a project of BluRay and I am trying to burn on a DVD.  The process fine until it starts the burn process.  The project is about 19g and I am ttrying to burn to a 25g BD - R bluray.  It takes about 6 hours to go through the process.  When the progress meter displays 100%, it goes into the process of engraving and after a few minutes, I get the message "Fatal Error" and it is she, not other messages and nothing written for the bluray.  I find myself clicking on the "cancel" button which takes back me to the project.

  I then noticed when I pass my project topic to ColbaltGraphical (located under the graphics category Flex 4 samples) of the default spark theme, the icons on my ignition buttons no longer appear.

  I put these using the style of the icon in the tag normally as such:

  I guess it's a problem with the skin of the button or something - y at - it an easy way to solve this problem?

  Thank you.  I solved the problem by simply making the ButtonSkin provided with the theme extend SparkButtonSkin instead of just the skin.  This leaves the skin support icon and solved the problem.

• I have 3 members of the family using the PC, running Vista. We are all yours to use e-mail accounts separated by the same ISP on windows Mail (currently using 1 account in Outlook 2007)

  How to configure on Windows Mail and separate accounts and still allow everyone to access the main existing account located on Outlook. I need 3 boxes of mail on the ISP first, then add them to each individual windows user logon? Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

  I imported an album in ITunes, I bought on Amazon and for some reason, adjust the volume slider is all the way up to + 100% on all of his songs. Whenever I try to change this back to normal, a little green check mark next to it. When I click on it, it is up to + 100%.   The green check mark recognizes that there is a change of treatment. At this point, you must click OK if you want to accept changes or Cancel if you do not.

  You can try to remove all references to Rhapsody (folders, etc.). To access these files, you will need to move your player in MSC mode. The Rhapsody will be in the Services folder.

  I don't know if it's a bug, but certainly doesn't seem like it should be the case. I tried on both 64-bit and 32-bit on windows 7. Does not make this error on XP or vista.

  To reproduce, in windows 7 make a file or folder, and THEN add a ".". (period) to the end of the name of the file and look at the file "disappear". It's still there, just need to refresh (F5) and it reappears (w/o of the annex "." because it's an illegal file naming convention).

  I tried to do the same thing but through command line and it always auto corrects names of files to the conventions, and correctly, it remains on the GUI, so I think that the problem is related to the graphical mode of name change

  Selection of several photos at once enter "9" to reject all still works them for me in Aperture 3.6 on El Capitan.

  Have you tested, if the problem occurs only in an Aperture library or libraries opening?

  Create a new Aperture library to test and see rejection, so it works.

  If it does not work in a new library either, I got trash Aperture preferences.

  In preferences file is now in the container folder in the user's library.

  Try this:

  • Leave the opening runs.
  • Then open your user library and delete the folder complete ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture/
  • and the ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist file

  Your user library can still be hidden. To reveal the hidden user library:

  • Bring the Finder to the front by clicking on the desktop or the Finder icon in the Dock.
  • Select your folder user/home (with the House icon in the side bar of the Finder)
  • With this window in the Finder in the front window, press the ⌘J key combination to bring up the display options.
  • In the view options panel allow you to "show the library folder. That will make your visible user library folder in your folder.
  • Open your folder, then the library folder, then the containers.
  • Move the entire folder ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Aperture on your desktop. Move the entire folder, not just the content.
  • Delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plist as well.

  Now, restart the Mac, start Aperture and try see your book.  If all goes well, delete the folder on the desktop.
