"The operation cannot be performed because you don't have sufficient privileges for some of the elements" is the message I get when you drag the icon of firefox to application icon?

This is my laptop and I know my password install but do not understand why it gives me this message when you try to copy the new Firefox on the old Firefox application I currently have (to. 3.0.3).

Any suggestions? I am also concerned about all my favorites organized, would be completely lost in the replacement of the software?

If you have problems with the update or the permissions then more simple is to download the full version and trash the version currently installed to do a clean install of the new version.

Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the file on the desktop DMG

  • Trash the present application Firefox to do a clean (re-) install
  • Install the new version you downloaded
